Double issue of monitor in Windows 8

Windows 8, HP h8 1520z dual monitors Asus VS248

recognizes the DVI on one but not on other HDMI

technical support says to download the softpaq sp61001-61500/sp61338.exe

but when I do it says (9996) minimum requirements do not respond

Need help

Since you have an AMD card, sp61338.exe was the wrong file for your system.  The one you need should be in the following link.

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=CP-116991-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=4132&product=5333061&sw_lang=

It seems you already have the newest HP one.  Have you tried the latest driver from the site of AMD?  Since it is a desktop PC, there will be no problem using the AMD driver on the HP version.

  • PC HP 8560w: second monitor with Windows 10

I have upgraded to Windows 10 and my second monitor will not work. On Windows 7, I was running my second monitor with a USB 3.0 port. Apparently, 10 Windows does not support this configuration. How can I feed my second monitor in Windows 10 using either a USB 3.0 or MIC port?

    Thanks in advance.

    Coltrane22

I'm running an additional monitor in Win10 to a USB connection, but it uses a USB adapter / VGA, and to make it work, I had to install the drivers that came with the card.  Before that I did, Win10 has not even seen the monitor.

    Good luck

  • How to change the ID ID/monitor display or erase display ID/Monitor ID Windows 7

Have a problem that sometimes appears.

Setting up workstations to work with multiple display monitors, its part of my job...

The real ID monitors get Windows isn't usually a problem, most programs can adapt to the windows settings and fine.

BUT some of the systems we run sends commands and tips based on the actual number of the display, the number which appears on the screen when you click on the button "identify" in the Office/display-settings of the control panel.

Allows to call the ID of display equipment

the computer, or windows remember display´s EDID and stores the monitors already plugged into a list?

If I installed the monitors/screens in the order correct, everything is good and works as we wanted.

Then, it happens a brakes display or switch place for a reason, or perhaps a driver update resets the display list and windows starts now monitors in the wrong order.

the monitor 1 want to have HW - ID 1 to now HW - ID 2, and everything is false, messages and orders now find themselves on the wrong display.

    We have 3 options.

    1. fix the HW - ID display

2 - re - configure the system and what it includes and hope that he will not return to the display switch change or updated driver.

3 - re - install windows and hope that it shows the correct ID and continue with client applications and so on.

I discovered that it is stored somewhere in the REG-Edit, but it is impossible to find the right place

After talking to HP, they do not support such things... try windows-problem, with a clean install... c - my I switched to a screen!

Tried to clean facilities of AMD and Nvidia driver for graphics cards, worked for a time, until I restarted the machine, back to square one...

    Then they ponited at Microsoft.

After talking to Microsoft Support they do not support such things...

I don't have the skills, but I can't be a problem with a script that removes the EDID reg-edit list after a reboot?

then it would be not so complicated, simply:

Unplug everything except the display that you want to be number 1
    Run the script

    reset

connect the display 2 and so on?

    Hello

I understand that you are not connected to the domain. But it seems you're a developer and you try to change the logical numbers of monitors/screens. This is why it would be better suited in MSDN Community.

  • Excel on two monitors, the window is uneven

I use Excel like this for years and never had a problem. Received a new computer with Windows 7 and Office 2010. Now, when I minimize Excel and stretch it across my two monitors, the window of excel is more horiztonally even on both monitors. In the secondary monitor, the bottom edge is higher than the lower edge of the primary monitor of 2.5 inch.

    Help, please.

    Hello

For several years I have seen the problem that shows your image.

You can see in the picture the monitor of the number 2 is offset, vertically with respect to the number of monitor 1.

You can move the monitor autour images using the mouse in the same way as you would move a shortcut on the desktop.

Place the mouse cursor on Monitor 2, hold down the left mouse button and drag the image upwards slightly until it is aligned with the number of the monitor 1.

    Click apply/OK.

Test and let us know the results.

  • Split-screen on one of the two monitor in Windows 8

I know how to split the screen on a monitor. Now the problem is that I have two moniotrs, when I drag a window on the edge on the left, it automaticlly take half left of screen, however, when I drag another window at the right end, the window through the right end and jump to another monitor. So as to have a program takes half left screen monitor 1, a program takes half right screen monitor 1 and one program takes full screen on Monitor 2? I'm runnning on windows 8 pro.

I know not 'technical' solution to this problem, but I use multiple monitors with windows for years and your best bet for now is this little trick.  Find an edge where the window will be 'snap' and autosize, then positioned manually on the "inside" edges of your dual display.

  • No signal on monitor after Windows 8 logo

I have a Lenovo H430-2558-1ZU desktop computer running Windows 8 Pro with Media Center. I used it all of a sudden the video was cut, then I had no signal on the screen. I restarted and after Windows 8 logo, I get no Signal on the monitor. Windows 8 is running because I can hear sounds from the speakers. After using this method, I started in safe mode. I uninstalled the graphics card driver Intel HD of safe mode and restarted in normal mode. It was fine for a few minutes, but then I had no signal on the screen. So I started in new safe mode and uninstalled the driver. I installed a new Web site driver for intel, but I still have the same problem. I tried uninstalling the driver for the monitor, but still have the same question. The monitor is connected to the computer via a XtremeMac HDMI to DVIHDMI port. The monitor is aViewsonic VX1945wm I used for many years. I don't think that it is a hardware problem, because my Ubuntu install works fine. I am at a loss here, IDK what to do. Help, please!

I solved the problem. I plugged the monitor into the computer via VGA and it works beautifully. So I disconnected the VGA cable and reconnected the cable hdmi to dvi, and it is worked over HDMI since. Even after rebooting. It's a weird solution, but I'm glad it worked.
