Do not run the installation from its current location, instead, save it locally on your hard drive in the downloads folder and then run the Setup file from there to iTunes and QuickTime.

    Hi bre.maddox,

    ·        This error message you get when you try to install QuickTime?

    ·        Which version of QuickTime is installed on your machine?

You can Uninstall QuickTime completely from your machine & then try to install QuickTime & check if the problem persists.

  • Vista and itunes

I am running Vista and have been broadcast itunes successfully until recently when he all of a sudden wouldn't start.  When I run itunes it says that quicktime is not loaded.  I've deleted and reinstalled Quicktime and itunes without success.  It is the most recent version of these programs.  QuickTime does not start as a stand alone.  As I said, everything was going well until I went to do a upgrade for our iphone and itunes.  I was on the phone with Apple 6 total hours and sent the log files and they can not find any problem.  Also disabled all fire walls and antivirus software before installing.  Even tried older versions of itunes and quicktime.  This has happened for almost 2 months now.  Frustrated!

  • I can't install it last update for itunes on my pc. When I try and download it and it's over, he said, "Apple mobile device service couldn't start. Check that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. »

I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times and that does not work, I simply get the same result.

I start to download, through all the steps and when it is ready to be finished install it says in a pop-up, "Apple mobile device service couldn't start. Check that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. »

Right-click on the downloaded installer and use run as administrator.

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

More information area has direct links with the current and recent buildings if you have problems to download, must revert to an older version or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with QuickTime software or a third party.

Backups of your library and device should be affected by these measures but there are links to backup and recovery advice there.

  • QuickTime will not play on a new iMac (it works in Safari and iTunes, but not Firefox)

I have the latest update of Firefox, the latest version of Quicktime and the last OSX (El Capitan) on the new Mac.

I also deleted all the history, cache, cookies, etc and restarted.

I always get the same message - that I need to "Download Quicktime".

Well, this seems to be a new thing of El Capitan. You need to take special measures to activate the plugin browser according to an Apple support article:

A small number of Web pages older still rely on the web inherited from QuickTime 7 plugin to play the media. In OS X El Capitan, this plug-in is no longer enabled.

Source: If your web browser shows that it lacks the QuickTime plug-ins - Apple Support

The article continues to describe where you can find the plugins and move them to a folder that Firefox will check. This is help on your system?

My iPod Touch 4th generation cannot be upgraded beyond ios 6.1.6 and podcast Apple app requires ios 7.1 or later version.  Is there another app, workaround or solution that would allow me to download podcasts on Itunes?

You should be able to get the latest compatible version of the app Apple Podcast and other apps too:

From when iOS 7 was released, Apple can now download the latest compatible version of some applications (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)

Install the latest compatible version of an application on a previous version of iOS or OS X

App Store: Download the old Versions applications

Whenever I try to download and install the latest versions to iCloud and iTunes I get error messages.  Just like the download ends, I get an error message and the Apple installer stops the download. Then it shows that the new versions are available for download just aif I had never tried to do it in the first place.

  • Firefox 30.0 cannot download Quicktime from their main link

I tried on a few different machines Windows 7 running Firefox 30.0.

If you go to the page of Apple to download Quicktime, the download starts but nothing downloads. I ended up having to use Chrome to download Quicktime. I have disabled the pop-up blocker and addons, did not help.

    http://www.Apple.com/QuickTime/Download/

I found that by clicking on the link "show all versions download" of Apple took me to a different page and the download worked fine here. But it does not work on the main download button from Apple at the link I posted above.

This is a known issue. To work around him,

    1. Under Options - general, the value "save files to: (download the file).

    2. When the download prompt appears, click the button Save the file as soon as possible, before the web page changes to "thank you for downloading QuickTime."

    • Bug 918000 - can't download new version of iTunes on Apple site
  • Official Satellite A660 cant get and iTunes-64 updates moved

    Hello

I've had my laptop for about 3 weeks now and have a few problems that maybe someone here can help with :)
It's a Toshiba Satellite A660 Windows 7 64 bit, with all the options of support authorized toshiba - tempro, health bulletin board etc.

    Problem 1:
The chips toshiba Board asked me to update a load of stuff - Bios, display drivers, wireless drivers etc.
The only update (seems... it did not freeze at least) worked was the update of the broadcom wireless driver.
So, for the update of the display, I download the file, unzip it and nothing is passes - I have tried to run the tinstallwb.exe.
I am asked if I want the program to change the hard drive, I say Yes... and that's the last I've heard of it... tried for hours to make it work, but I look at a desktop computer without activity. In the folder to archive, if I try and run the setup.exe (the nvidia part) it says that no valid nvidia hardware has been detected.

    Problem 2:
I tried the bios update, Bulletin Board asked me to install... it didn't, didn't want to install.

    Problem 3:
I spend most of the time the laptop turned off, because it freezes on the screen of closing...

    Problem 4:
Prob not a toshiba problem - but I can not install Quicktime or iTunes... the installer just freezes (it goes in not responing well) - I left runningn elaptop th for about 4 hours yesterday, trying to install itunes 64-bit until I had to kill the task (and turn it off, like shutdown does not work)

Any ideas, I've given up trying to update the updates that the toshiba Council services told me to put up-to-date?
I tried the update obvious everything I can, but the toshiba updates do not update :(
Other software: MS Office and Outlook, firefox.

    Thanks for any help,

    Andy

    Hello

    (1) you can download all the drivers directly from the page of European driver of Toshiba.
If you really need an update, then you must download the file, should save on the HARD drive should unzip the package and must be run setup.exe or should update the driver from Device Manager.

    (2) this is a HowTo doc on update of the BIOS:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=60
If this is not possible, then your Windows operating system might be confused to the top and maybe you should get the phone before performing a BIOS update.

    (3) as suggested above; all these questions could be linked to the damaged operating system and maybe you need to reinstall the operating system to make it work again.

    (4) see point 3
