Download so slow

Why do you not write the inputstream directly in the outputstream?
otherwise, check http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/7.1.0api/net/rim/device/api/io/IOUtilities.html#streamToBy... to read the stream more efficiently, char by char is not a very effective method.

I would also say to record some timestamps to see what part takes what time, which makes it easier to improve.

  • WiFi downloads are slow in win 7 pro 64-bit, IT SHOULD BE parameters win7pro or driver!

Sometimes, something is reset and bandwidth goes to 13-14 Mbps
Then it starts to shrink until it gets at least 1 Mbit/s.
Then I remove the wireless adapter (but no driver Sherif) is restarted and the Device Manager.
Then I'm back to 3-4 Mbps.
I tried the command netsh int tcp to disable the heuristics, autotuning and forcing ctcp.
    Any hotspot.
    I tried TCPOptimizer.
The system is a Dell N5110 with a N-1030 of Intel centrino wireless adapter.
Some parameter is being edited and I have yet to understand that!
So far, I'm absolutely sure that's not the material, not the hotspot, no Newsbin v5.5, which is squeezing my bandwidth.
It must simply be win7 or the driver for the wireless card.
And no, I don't have a system recovery point, where it is ok. If I did, I would have already thought the problem!

Solved: Windows 7 64 bit slow loading pages, independent of web browser

I had a similar problem on a wired connection:

    (1) after cheking my NETWORK adapter, router, modem etc. determined without fault. I tried IE, FF, G Chrome; is not bad! and very slow loading on the pages concerned, (looking at network traffic in the Manager of tasks - Network tab). These pages load eventually after a long time (sometimes minutes). It comes to despite the fact that the download/download speeds to the ISP have been systematically tested to conform to the limits accptable. 17 mbit/s down / 0.5 upwards.

    (2) many discussions about google suggested search complexes and diagnostics operations that seem to make no difference, including reloading the operating system. Too complicated for me.

Finally, what worked for me: (before go you crazy on a rampage dissassemly/reload the operating system)

Back to basics: suspect some components installed in the OS for the background.

    (1) OS to boot in safe mode, by using msconfig.exe, with networking on. Go the problem! Pages loaded now Nitro speed! But no other functionality.

    (2) to get a working computer back, you make a selective startup in msconfig.exe. Select the services tab and disable all services. (Safe mode is them uncheck everything, except for those essential + security). The trick is to turn of proggressivly that these services turn it on in small groups, reboot, test your web page, speed of loading each time, until you find the offending service.

The service that caused the problem on my machine was windows management instrumentation.

I have not checked for the moment and it does not affect functionality so far. I'll look again in the resolution of the problem with this (WMI) service, but I'm back to speed.

For now, I'm running a selective startup upwards with only this (WMI) service is disabled. W7 remembers this start automatically the next time you turn on your machine.

I hope that this information will be used as a possible action plan for others unhappy with their Web page, loading time.

  • Windows Store downloads PAINFULLY slow

I installed Windows 8 Pro (final version) on an Oracle VirtualBox and everything works well EXCEPT downloading things on the Microsoft Store. When I started the store, he said that I had to update the 15 applications (the ones provided with Windows, I think) and I told him to go ahead.  The next screen came and it showed the 15 apps (things like photos, people, etc.) with a progress next to each bar. Under the progress bar, he said "pending."  After about 5 minutes, many of the indicators of State went to «Couldn't...» "and several"download. "  After SEVERAL HOURS (I'm logged on the corporate LAN that works normally about 10 MB for downloads), SOME of the itmes finished and some went to an error state.

That is what it is?  Why is this happening?  The Microsoft Store is BACK ' ed?  IE 10 on Windows 8 works fine without any problem of speed.

    Thank you

    Owen

Hmmm I just disabled my wired Internet (on the virtual machine) and don't have my connection wireless enabled (Windows 8 thinks it's a wired connection)...

In any case, it was a little slow, but all applications downloaded and installed.

What could be the problem with the connection to the LAN does not not for downloads from app store?

    TIA,

    Owen

  • Download extremely slow speeds for CS6 trial version

I'm trying to download the demo version of CS6, using the Adobe Download Wizard. It is extremely slow (currently says that it will take another 15 hours to download.) He was slain at 987 MB for more than two hours. I have a very fast fiber optic line and just has a speed test. I see download speed of 75,79 Mbs is not my broadband. I'm on Mac OS Lion 5.7.  and I have a lot of empty space. Any ideas of what is the problem?

It is therefore not my broadband.

In fact, it's probably. Because of the way ADM work supplements can be questions about these connections due to how manage the communication upstream and can dynamically switch IPs / channels in their multiplexers... Try a direct download using the method described here:

  • Download speeds slow r7000

only achieved after 8 months that my router R7000 has always close 3-5 mbps download speed when my ISP gave me 75mbps download.

I got the scoop from farm last updated and the customer service suggested me to use the channel '11' to 'Auto '. Tried, but for the first few minutes is good, but in no time it sinks again 3-5 Mbps download speed, I noticed that my upload speed is relatively higher.

    One had the same problem?

Noticed a forum about this problem but no solution in my opinion.

If you haven't already, I would reset the router to the default values and without making all the other configurations to connect to the Internet without wifi, etc.. Now, let's see how fast you have with a computer connected to the Ethernet port. If it's good, then add your configuration in one thing at a time and test again. This should help you that the configuration option that causes the slowdown.

  • Download speed slow r7000 (wired and wireless)

I have the R7000 for about a year now and originally, I had the good download and upload speeds that corresponds with my ISP rates.

Right now my ISP (cable) delivers 120 Mbps down and 12 Mbps to the top.

However, I read an article on a website it my ISP would start by increasing the speed down to 150 Mbps and that in some areas what was already available.

That of why I unplugged my modem and plugged again after a 2 minute order to restart/reset and hoped for greater speed.

When I used several speedtesters (speedtest.net, my ISP speedtester, speedtest.nl, etc.), all came to the same result, approximately 90 Mbps down and 12 Mbps to the top.

Yesterday, I did the test on 2 separate wired computer (HTPC and desktop).

After connecting my HTPC directly to the modem and the test I got good publicity (120 Mbps down) and 12 Mbps speeds upward.

Therefore, it is certainly connected to the router.

Today, I also tried by Ookla's speedtest.net on my S5 Galaxy with 5G wireless and got the same bad results as with the wired connection (90 Mbps down) and 12 Mbps up.

I am also on a channel that is not occupied by another user.

I also noticed that the firmware version higher on the R7000 support site is 1.0.4.30, but when I look in the upper right of the router web INTERFACE it shows the version of the firmware V1.0.5.48_1.1.79.

    How is that possible?

In addition next to the Advanced Settings tab, there is a message that a new firmware is available.

When I click on this message the router tries to connect to the server to download the Netgear firmware, but after a few seconds it told me that there is no new firmware available.

I read here on the forum of others with similar problems and tried to revert to a lower firmware version.

But I could not find an answer to this version referred to a firmware that works best.

    My questions:

    (1) what would be the first thing to try?

    (2) when to return to a previous firmware, what is the best firmware choose?

    (3) what is the correct procedure for the recovery of firmware?

P.S. for your upload and download QoS information is always off.

Indeed, the RAM has solved the problem.

P.S. I accidentally marked the answer of Tarund as the answer to my question.

    Can you please remove that?

  • Satellite P750-13F - Internet (download) bandwidth slows

Hello. (Windows 8 x 64, P750-13F, HDD: Hitachi, wifi: Atheros) installed the latest drivers from toshiba.

Recently, I noticed that: (via WiFi) does not check for cable again.

While installing an application or copy files to HDD - my download down (uTorrent).
During the instalation/copy is completed - internet bandwidth comes back normal.

Looks like hard drive buffer is full or sth lecharmeur.
Is this normal? Why is this happening? Maybe some its hdd buffer error or mobo?

    Please answer. Greetz

I put t knows where you live, but be careful with these downloads. Last year, I have a post of legal officer for illegal downloading.

Anyway, I think that your HARD disk is too busy and downloaded data may not be written so fast, so in my opinion, there is no reason to panic. Best thing you can do is to stop all activities as the installation of the software, copy of data updates or installation process while you download some large files.

By the way: if possible test with LAN connectivity and send feedback.

If you still have internet connection probs, one thing to try is the separation of the TCP/IPv6 (which is done by going to network connection > right click > properties > it uncheck > OK.)

These tests of the mine where done with only 1 x computer on the network.

Hi @cssva3 you have the latest firmware installed on your router?

If this is not the case, see this link on how to upgrade the firmware.

After the update of the firmware, reset the router by pressing the reset for 20 seconds button.

Once done, reconfigure the router to get Internet connection.
