  • DPW Nook HD XP driver failure +.

Dear Sirs: I bought a Tablet Barnes Noble, hoping that it would be useful for my wife. It's a HD + she hoped to use to play the old time radio shows that we purchased in MP3 format. She also hopes to use it to view PDFs of knitting patterns and instructions for sewing patterns. However, our XP computer cannot transfer files to it. I downloaded the program from PSG and XP now recognizes that a corner is attached to the USB port when I look at the devices in my computer. But I get a message that it is locked when I try to paste the files or directories to it. I updated Windows Media Player version 11 and Media Player sees it as a Gadget of file-CD. Media Player can play both old radio shows in MP3 format, but it can not synchronize with the Nook. XP tells me that a material of the PSG has been found but when I say that it automatically install and I said that he can use the internet to find the files, XP is unable to find the software for it. I am up * Creek without a paddle?

    Hello

I suggest a work around for this problem. You can copy the files and folders you want to display in the CORNER shelf on a hard drive external or USB flash drive, and then try to connect this device in the CORNER and check if it works.

To get help, you can also publish the application in the NOOK support forums.

I hope this helps. If you have any other queries/issues related to Windows, write us and we will be happy to help you further.

Yes, I considered getting the SD card can be used by the Nook for memory expansion and copy the files to my computer.

I called Barnes + Noble support and they have informed me that for now, the Nook HD + is not compatible with XP.  They said that they can be updated so it will be compatible in the future. They said I need to Windows 7 or Windows 8.
Fortunately, I have a computer that is running Windows 7. I'm not completely done to build, but I hooked the Nook to she and I managed to copy and paste the old mp3 radio programs the time and some PDFs for the knitting Nook. My wife is very happy now.

    Hello

I want to be able to back up my tab 7 HD photos on my laptop. If I connect the devices, the laptop sees the slate internal memory card but I think the photo gallery is on the internal memory.

How can I access it to make a backup?

    Thank you

    Graham.

Hello and welcome to the HP support community!

Just to get on the same page, there are two locations storage-memory - internal (chip on the motherboard) and external (SD card).

You have an SD card inserted in the device?  Try going here and adjust the settings:

Options settings/storage/icon at the top right, as the connection of the computer 3 blocks vertical/USB /.  Change of DPW to PTP and see if your photos are displayed.

The Archos is not even appear in 'My Computer' as it should; the Kindle shows up, but a 'click & drop' copying files, it turns ineffective they land not actually in my Kindle.

Is there some settings in Windows that I need to change?

Given that my idea was to use the tablet with the PC for editing files "We the move ' I am pulling my hair in frustration before the refusal of the machines to make as they should. Unless, as is usually the case, essential information has been omitted instructions.

    Help!

In fact, I solved the problem late last night: Control Panel > administrative tools > computer management > Device Manager. There was 'ARCHOS '!
I clicked and selected 'Update program', and he told me that she applied the DPW.
It is surprising, it did not happen automatically, but I remember having to go into the Device Manager to change a few settings after you have reinstalled Age there, to connect to a wired or wireless router. So I finally thought to try here again.
    Thank you, in any case.

  • MTP device error

I have a Samsung YP - K3 mp3 player that Windows XP (with Service Pack 3) now is unable to connect/sync for.

  • Sansa Clip + 8 GB not recognized on my PC

    I have windows 7 Home premium, SP1

Used to have no problem to access the MP3 player.

Now, I can only see the files in windows Explorer.  Whenever I try to copy the Clip, I get an error message:

A device attached to the system is not functioning

    ~ or ~.

The unit has stopped responding or has been disconnected.  This device supports audio files, it does not support. MP3 files...

The second message is ridiculous since the Clip is loaded with MP3s.  Generic message...

I tried to swith USB modes auto detect MTP and MSC, no luck.  I've removed the device and had windows to reinstall the drivers.  I downloaded the update from sansa and it says that it updated the firmware to V01.02.18A.

I have run out of ideas to try and unfortunately, patience.  Any suggestions?

Crazy... tried another USB port and no problems (USB mode was DPW).

Whatever it is, I was able to load more songs, so I'm good.  Do not forget to use the slot #2

  • PSG, MSC

What would be the difference of adding music to the "rocket" or mode?

MTP, or Media Transfer Protocol, is a method where the Fuze + is recognized as a device of media (player) of the computer.  This mode is supported by Windows Media Player 10 and later versions.

DPW does many things in the background, as the sides of the song, album art and playlists are a snap.

On the other hand, it has a dark side, if you want to control the camera directly in MSC mode, where the player is considered a device memory.  You can't do some small tasks, generate a list of files on the device (in print), and some editing apps are struggling to process the files on the device, such as MP3Tag.

Oh, the rocket + is not affected yet (I HOPE it will be) by this annoying "read card" - this mode when you put up may be considerably shortened, or even deleted, with PSG as part of the equation.  But, I digress.

If you have protected media, as in the music and audiobook tracks subscription MTP is required to transfer the license information.

Otherwise, you can use the MSC mode.  MSC is a necessity if you use Linux or Mac OS, or even if you import information during a cp/m as the Kaypro 10 machine.  Hehe.  MSC is a wonderful thing, allowing direct control.

To complicate matters, you can drag and drop into the PSG too if you wish.  Can't use PIP as the Kaypro situation.

Tonight, I'm using old school data navigation for Hubble, such a cool machine.

  • Can not remove books Audio 5 of 8 GB internal memory... have NO books on the PC Explorer

I have W7 64 bit Office & a Sansa Fuze 8 GB drive.   I use MTP drag & drop to transfer audio books mp3 or drag & drop ripped CD from the library in Sanza MTP file.  I don't use Media Player for nothing I.have has always dragged & dropped directly.  I delete books on my PC by going to tha Sanza MTP folder and remove the Sansa DPW record book.  Did so successfully for hundreds of audio books, BUT I have 5 books on the player, I don't SEE on the PC which take on a GB of memory on the Sansa internal memory.

What I see on the PC, I can't delete.   How can I delete these files & folders?

    Phil

Try switching the mode USB, Meteorological Service of the Canada. Your computer cannot see files loaded in one mode at a time. Maybe at some point your player has been in mode Auto Vice that would allow him to connect to MTP or MSC without your knowledge.

If you are not paralyzed on usiing DRM files why you use MTP mode? That's the only reason why you would need to use this mode, and MSC is much less annoying.

You can, but only after you make sure that you have a DPW facility on your system.  MediaMonkey installation does not install the MTP.  For PSG installed, you need to install WMP 10 or higher.

There are also installation separate PSG only packages, but I can't vouch for any of them.  Maybe someone else in this forum can.
