  Recently I started to have problems at the start of my HP Pavilion g6 series portable computer. I would like to get a disc error that would require me to restart with "control, alt, delete." It is now passed to sends errors to disk hard 303 and 305. I was looking around on these forums and it seems that I am looking at a hard drive is preparing to fail.

  I am under that Windows 7 Home Premium with an Intel i7 - 2620M clocked @ 2.70 GHz with 6 GB of RAM and it is a 64-bit operating system.

  Do I have reason to assume that the hard drive is preparing to fail? If so, how to replace it and what should I replace it with?

  My laptop was getting slower and slower, so I did a restore default via the recovery partition, and when it restarts to start reformat and reinstall back to factory condition, I got a message on the screen telling me to run the hard drive test. Did it and got error 303 and 305 messages. Restore to preset works however, after doing research in the error codes I go account, I'm for a new hard drive.

  My laptop is a HP Pavilion dvd6-3203TU with WIndows 7 Home Premium installed. It currently has a disk 320 GB TOSHIBA MK3265GSXX HDD in it.

  After reading the forums, I am pleased to see that my recovery disks will be reinstalling everything on a new hard drive and partition a C: drive and also the recovery partition. The main issue I have is my new drive hard must it be 320 GB in size as the original or to buy something like a disk 500 GB + for the laptop. If I have to replace the hard drive that I can as will increase size while, if possible i.e..

  It must also be a Toshiba or I can buy another brand?

  Your laptop is listed as coming with a 320 GB hard drive, but you can install just as easily a 500 GB or 750 GB HARD drive if you want more space - readers at the following links are examples that would be perfect for your laptop - you are in no way limited to a particular manufacturer.

  I have problems with a Compaq presario CQ61 421SA that is over 3 years old and little used. She became unresponsive and would hang permanently on the office page. Then he would start only in safe mode and finally he wouldn't even that. I've recovered from the partition recovery 3 times now and got things going again only a relapse to the same problems. I did all sorts of controls of sfc/scannow, scandisk, hard starting, start clean and same BIOS update. Nothing shown or improve. Diagnosis before initializing controls showed two codes 303 and 305, and the newspaper has several inputs in this regard. The computer is currently running OK, but a full diagnosis always generates 305 error even if I got the recovery partition and update everything. I fear that it will start to behave badly shortly after. On my last recovery I tried to set the BIOS to boot from the internal DVD and then put in the first of 3 recovery disks when I bought it first, I created. He doesn't seem to read the disc or start the installation of him so I returned to the recovery partition. I'm hesitant to throw good after bad money until I can be sure to a new hard drive.

  Any suggestions/help would be welcome.

  I have now solved this one. I found that the codes 303 and 305 has got worse when I started also failing the SMART control diagnostics test done from the BIOS. It was a little conclusive evidence of the problem - no hard drive. I replaced with a brand new HARD drive a slightly larger size (500 GB instead of 320), made sure the BIOS was set to boot from the CD Rom, rather than the HARD disk drive and then used disks of 3 installation I had created when the computer was first purchased in order to return to a fully functional State. The disadvantage was that it was in the same condition as it was when first purchased with all more later lost DATA. Outside of time, everything is OK but I had to reinstall updates of security without end etc. to bring myself perfectly up-to-date again. This proves the value of backup files somewhere else or creating an ISO file of the content of the old hard drive before it fails to restore later. As long as you use the original motherboard and the installation discs created first, it seems that these discs will run and restore new hard drive on a new.  Hope this helps someone else.

  These error messages indicate cooling fans have a problem.  It is a hardware problem which is best treated in an Apple store genius bar.  The assessment will be FREE.

  Hey everyone, I'm experimenting with the driver INI instruments and fall on a fatal runtime error.  Here's what I know so far:

  1. Run-time error occurs only when the first Ini_Putxxx
  2. It occurs if the target INI file does not yet exist.  Once the file is created with an Ini_WriteToFile, then the program will carry out all the functions of my Put without any error.

  Ideas?

  Are you sure about that? I tried just to call these functions in the window Interactive execution without errors (the destination file wasn't there before the call and was created without errors):

  Ini_PutXX functions do not have any disk access, they work entirely in memory; the only functions where the instrument is accessing the disk are Ini_WriteToFile and Ini_ReadFromFile. What error do you get? Can you post an example of code that shows the error?

• HP Pavilion DV6-3041TX drive HARD failure and possible design Intel series 6 Chipset problem

  Hey guys

  I saw corruption serious hdd on my system for some time now and was just move to replace the drive hard when I came across the problem of design of Intel® chipsets. Now, I think that my system is the range of serial number for this question and as the current drive does not start, I can't check the Device Manager to see if the chipset is one of those affected.

  Is there anyway for me to check this from a USB bootable or something similar, because I don't want to have to go through the effort to replace the hard drive and reinstall windows just to find the chipset is wrong?

  Open the door of the memory on the bottom of the laptop and look under the memory for a number of motherboard.

  You should have the Intel HM55 chipset, but we can be sure that if we know the motherboard part number.

  you have 3 possibilities: two normal hard drives, RAID 0, RAID-1

  RAID 0 (Striping): two hard disks are used as a big drive, if a HARD disk fails all data is lost

  RAID-1 (Mirroring): hard drives contain the same data if a disk fails, data is not lost

  There is a little less than two months, I bought my HDD Toshiba Canvio Basics 3.0 from Amazon. The hard drive has stopped working for some reason any (I drop or something, it simply stopped working).

  Of course, I was trying to use my warranty to repair or Exchange it, but the Web of Toshiba site does not recognize my serial number and product number. They are just there, black and white on the sticker on the back of my hard drive, but the site says they are not valid.

  Someone has an idea what is happening? I would rather not throw 50 euros by the window for less than two months of use.

  Product number is HDTB105XK3AA - and not to HDTB105 * E * K3AA like some sites say (including Amazon).

  I have a laptop E1 571 and have been using it with win 10 since its release, had minor problems, but the day of Christmas (from everyday) my hard drive started to make beep sounds and load, only to start menu screen but the hd does not!

  The latest current firmware for the MD3600i will not be able to take over the disks. These drives also have a 12 GB SAS connection & the MD3600i has only 6GB connections for readers. Now our latest MD38xx of MD34xx & maintain the 12 GB but currently these drives are not supported on the latest firmware as well.

  I would say that if these drives should be supported, it would be on or systems MD34xx & MD38xx, but I don't know in which version of firmware that will be available on.
