  I am trying to install any driver for my printer / Photosmart Premium 309 g - m on an upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate edition of a system completely patched Vista who never had the printer installed on it...  I downloaded both Photosmart basic drivers - 2010-03-29, Version: 14.1.0 and Photosmart full feature software and drivers - 2010-03-24, Version: 14.1.0 and tried installs several of each.  I used administrative ID and standard user ID and get the same result.

  After the decompression software into the temporary folder in users/user/appdata/local/temp, the installation begins and during the initial phase of 'system control' get an error message-

  "The system could not find the specified file".

  I am getting very frustrated because I can't take this error.

  Try the following procedure must uninstall and remove any software interferente. Let me know if anything changes.

  Of the Original installation CD:

  1. Insert the CD in the drive and then cancel Setup

  2. open my computer and click right then on the CD from the drive and select open

  3 open the Util folder

  4 open the CCC folder

  5. If you have an HP computer, run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a computer not HP, run the L4uninstall.exe

  6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

  7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup

  8. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

  9 download drivers and full software features

  Software Photosmart C309g

  10 go back to the temporary folder and delete all files starting with 7z

  11 start the download to reinstall the printer

  If the software has been downloaded and extracted to your system:

  1. type % temp % in the field of race

  2. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)

  3 open the Util folder

  4 open the CCC folder

  5. If you have an HP computer, run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a computer not HP, run the L4uninstall.exe

  Install the driver Vista 64 site Internet HP here.  After that the message the drivers have been installed and say connect you can cancel.  The drivers will then be available in respect of Hewlett-Packard as shown below.

I wanted to know if it is possible to spend my Hard Drive disk Fusion or a SSD (and if the stores Apple could change?), or if the best thing to do would be to add more RAM or both HD editing and adding RAM? I use my Mac mainly to watch movies (and TV on the Internet), using Word/Excel... I don't use a lot of software like PhotoShop, etc, but I would use it without being stopped after every single when necessary change. Thanks in advance!

  Would be it someone please let me know where I can find the HARD drive diagnostic software appropriate to the hard drive of this model. I suspect that it starts to develop problems and run a check until I have look at the controller.

  There are a lot of diagnostics for your HARD drive. You can use the Drive Fitness Test of Hitachi for example. It creates a boot disk where you can boot from to start the test.

  An alternative look at HD Tune. It s Windows based but can check bad sectors too. In addition it allows to test the speed of the HARD drive.

  I have a situation.  I'm with CVI 8.0.1 with NOR-DAQmx version 8.1.0f1.  I am creating a distribution kit onto another machine to control the operation & collect data.  The machine that I put my software on a 6.9.2f8 OR-DAQmx & I tried to run my software on this & failed.

  When I try to compile the distkit, he invites me to the disc "May 2006."  I do not have the disc & can't get my IT Department. (that is another story).  I have records 2003, 2007 and 2008 None are accepted by the manufacturer of the kit.  I download the DAQmx 8.1 from your Web site and hope you can tell me how to do disk I put it on the shows until May 2006.

  You will not be able to give the DAQmx 8.1 disk system if she asks May 2006 driver disk. It's very particular about what discs he wants, because he doesn't know if all the components it needs can be found on another disk. This behavior has been somewhat improved in the new versions of the CVI, but in your case, if she asked in May 2006, you need to provide in May 2006. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any standard channel for you to get a new copy of this disc. It might be possible if you called to support, but I wouldn't count on that yet. I see two options:

  1. use one of the disks of the driver that you have (2007 or 2008) to upgrade the version of NOR-DAQ on your development computer. Presumably, this will upgrade all components which should have from the disk of May 2006, and the distribution build process should ask for one (or more) discs 2007 instead.

  2. do not include OR-DAQ in your distribution. Use your discs 2007 or 2008 to install NOR-DAQ on your target machine separately.

• Photosmart 7960 installed via the USB port on the PC under Win XP Pro acting as a print server

  I have a PC running Windows XP Pro, which acts as the home network file and print server.   The Photosmart 7960 is connected to this computer via a USB cable and configured to be "shared".   When I go to "Add a printer" on another PC, in Windows 7, which is also part of the same network, I can navigate to the 7960 correct, but the installation wizard is unable to find the driver for Win 7.  I still have what in the HP see basic documents that tells me how to add this shared printer on my Win 7 PC.  Looking at the support page drivers I saw that Windows 7 already has the driver.  True, but the only way, it seems that I can get to it is to connect the printer directly to Win 7 PC via a USB cable.   Any suggestions?

  Apparently, the solution is as follows.  First connect the photosmart 7960 directly to the PC running Windows 7 via USB cable network.  It will be auto-install drivers.  Reconnect the printer to the PC under XP pro server.   From the PC running Windows 7 where you have installed the printer via USB, you can go ahead and remove the photosmart 7960 from the list of printers; This will not remove the just downloaded drivers.  Next, select Add a printer, and then select 'Add a local printer' (no network).  Select 'Create New Port' and click Next.  In the next dialog box, type the name of the host server and the name of the printer.  In my case, it's \\mainserver\HP photosmart 7960. Click Next.   In the "Install the printer driver" dialog, click "Hewlett Packard" and find the 7960 in the printer list and click Next.  I was able to successfully install the printer this way.

  Follow the steps below and check if it solves the problem:

  1 open the Mcafee Virus and Spyware Protection software you are interested in, click on calendar and perform analyses. Click analysis in real time, and then click stop. Select until I restart the PC and confirm by clicking the button turn off.

  Now, try to reinstall the HP software and check if the installation goes as planned.

  If the problem persists, continue following the steps below:

  7. run the installation file and check all difference.

  The alert you speak too often give you the option to choose when you download the software. You can uninstall the software and re - install and choose the right box when it asks, or you could simply click on HP Solution Center. Click the estimated ink levels.

But it would be nice to have software that tells me when the ink will run out, so I know when to buy more ink. Basically, it says that I can not install this software in "Run As" mode... ", which I am not. He says I need to be connected to an Administrators account, but I am logged in as one. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

  I suggest to disconnect the printer from the computer, uninstall the drivers, then download and install the driver HP recommended here.

  External DVD USB drives are cheap. Usually $20 for a good quality player. Just buy one of these at Best Buy or another store and use it to install Snow Leopard. Then you also have a drive for something else that you have on the disk.
