Driver UVC USBVideo.sys in Vista and 7, not as good as XP

It's true. I have a camera with a touch of capture. Works great under XP.

The capture button does not work with Vista and 7, unless the fixed axis is used by an application.
If the capture PIN is used, the still picture Windows Image Acquisition or event...
Is not the case.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Why did I do that? Because I didn't want to find how to integrate WIA events in my program I use... I have the source... But... naaa...
This program listens to the addresses on a chip, and when you press the capture button I need to change the address so I can change that in a keyboard event.
With XP, it works.
With Vista and 7, it does not work...
It does the job.
-----------------------------------
So what I have done about it?
Caught Usbvideo.inf and XP 32 bit and 64 bit usbvideo.sys.
Edited the usbvideo.inf file and replaced usbvideo.sys with uvcwia.sys
Usbvideo.sys and rename it uvcwia.sys
Install the driver.
THIS MARKET!
For Windows 7 X 64, I have to put the computer in TEST MODE and then use a program to sign the uvcwia.sys file.
-----------------------------------
Hey Microsoft! You please add this feature to the UVC Vista/7 driver?
Please, I beg you! =)
----------------------------------
This feature needs.
; WIA
Subclass = picture
DeviceType = 3
DeviceSubType = 0 x 1
Features = 0 x 00000031
DeviceData = USBVideo.DeviceData
ICMProfiles = "sRGB Color Space Profile.icm"
For 7 would not be?
3
1
31
I tried and tried to do the usbvideo.sys do this on 7, but it did not work. So I decided to do something drastic.
I tried to use the file integer usbvideo.inf of xp with the 7 usbvideo.sys. Still not the same features.
I don't like the computer in test mode... As... Well... Microsoft wrote the pilot. =)
Windows 8... UH... Going to be great for tablets... Not so much for the PC.

    I need a driver/files mouhid.sys, my mouse support does not work.  Please thank you!

    Hmm, a strange thing to have disappeared.  Do you have a virus or checked for malware scanner?

    The mouhid.sys file is supposed to be in % systemroot%\system32\drivers.  You pouvez find a copy of it in % systemroot%\dllcache.  If it's not in... \drivers and is in... \dllcache, recopy the... \drivers.  (You may need to do this in Mode safe.)

    Except for the above bit of luck, there are several ways to recover.

    1. use msconfig:

    Get your installation CD or locate a copy online
    Since an administrator account, run msconfig ( -R, msconfig)
    When "msconfig" opens, select the "Général" tab and click on the button "expand file...". »
    (This will open the window to "Develop a Source of Installation file")

    Enter 'mouhid.sys' in "file to restore:
    Enter the path to the DRIVER. CAB file in the \i386 on your installation media directory.
    (or browse to...)
    Enter "c:\windows\system32\drivers" in the "save in:" entry.
    Click "expand".
    'mouhid.sys' is now where never told you develop to...

    2 use the utility auditor of system files (SFC) to check the missing files and restore them if necessary.
    You will again need your installation media and, if you have installed the Service Packs, the CD-ROM for
    the latest Service Pack, you have installed.

    From an administrator account, type: -R, sfc/scannow

    SFC calls for, first of all, your installation media, and then later the service pack CD-ROM.  If SFC wants to replace the files, leave.  If the SFC rejects your Service Pack CD-ROM, read the KB900910 Microsoft Knowledge base article.  Note that this article applies to SP2, but is also applicable to the SP3.  Just use your common sense and use SP3 where the article refers to SP2.

    If you don't have a CD-ROM Service Pack 3, or order it (U.S. / Canada , Europe, Africa , Asia or South America ) from Microsoft or download the ISO (here ) and burn it.  Be sure to Select the appropriate language if you download ISO.  Note, I recommend that you install Service Pack 3 on a CD-ROM, rather than through Windows Update so that youpouvez use SFC with success!

  • CD/DVD drive no appears in Device Manager and is not opening?

    I JUST INSTALL WINDOWS VISTA SINCE WINDOWS 2000 IT HAS WORKED VERY WELL ON THE 2000!

    Hello

    Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
    a process that solves the problem.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
    Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
    RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

    Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
    cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

    Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
    ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
    contacts data with a pencil eraser.

    Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
    manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

    Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
    Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

    Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
    the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

    A frozen about three times and then once rebooted showed the BSOD saying something the system failure.

    So I rebooted once more and now it restarts just without going on the login screen. I tried to run in safe mode, but it gets stuck on crcdisk.sys or goes in an endless process to restart again.

    Is there anyway that I might be able to get back on without doing a full factory reset, as I have all my work stored on the hard drive integrated without backup.

    I can open the system recovery options, but none of these options seem to work. All my points of recovery have been removed.

    Startup Repair doesn't indicate a problem with the system, so I thought maybe it was a virus? The same thing happened to my wife a few days ago computer and that uses the same Wifi network as me.

    Jacob.

    To search for malicious software, you must do in Mode safe mode with networking, but you say that you can not get the Options.

    There is information below data recovery.

    And Startup Repair Info, too.

    Data recovery:

    1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.

    2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.

    3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:

    http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

    Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.

    http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm

    Download the Vista software from the link above.

    After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.

    Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

    Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.

    Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

    When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

    Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

    Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

    Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

    If Safe Mode does not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:

    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Dell recovery options:
    Above is Dell to reinstall Vista from the DVD on your computer.
    And that way if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive.
    Hello
    To my knowledge, the Tecra S1 was delivered with the graphics card of 32 MB ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000 graphics card.
    On the Toshiba page you will certainly find no Vista drivers for this device.
    I think 3rd websites and goggling in internet research is your last resort
  • installed the game CD Gears of War on my computer (Windows VISTA) and make me "Please insert the correct DVD - ROM, click OK and restart the application" - but the disk is IN the drive.
    original title: Gears of War for PC (Vista)
    I installed Gears of War game CD on my computer (Windows VISTA) and make me "Please insert the correct DVD - ROM, click OK and restart the application" - but the disk is IN the drive.  I've been on the net and does not know what is the problem and why this game will not run.  I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled tried to run as administrator, got the latest patch, all the things that have said all sites to do - anyone have any ideas?  Any help would be appreciated!  Thank you!
    Hi NoOneSpeciale,
    It is very possible that your CD may be damaged.  Is it possible to get another copy to try on your machine? Or try this copy on another machine to see if it works or not.
    Also check in control panel--> system--> for you Device Manager make sure that there is no yellow/red icon next to the CD player and it's function correctly.
