DRM is missing after a hardware upgrade.

I recently updated my motherboard computers and processer and now it seems that the DRM files are missing which means of course that I can't play any of my procected DRM music files, even if my computer has a backup of the license. To be able to play my new music I need to re - install Windows XP or y at - it another way of retreving my missing data of DRM?

I am currently using Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3.

Before you change the hardware, you must back up your licenses.
I hope that this article will help you:

  • How to restore licenses Playready DRM for TV recorded after a hardware upgrade?

See the thread that I started:
    http://www.thegreenbutton.TV/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1109

At the end of this thread for my question about what breaks the Playready DRM, I stated here:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/891664

If there is an updated version of this KB article applicable to Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 12, then a pointer to such an article would probably prevent the need to respond to everything that follows.  For now, I guess there is no update instructions for restoring licenses.

In time, I was reassured by Microsoft KB article that I could upgrade my HTPC hardware without losing the ability to play shows I had already recorded.

I don't think much more on this subject until recently, when I decided that the time had come to make an upgrade.  So I went back to the article to see exactly what I had to do in preparation for the upgrade.  The first thing he says for me to do is to back up my licenses.  However, I am running Windows Media Player version 12 (which is what came with my Windows7 Home Premium), and it doesn't seem to provide a mechanism to back up the licenses.  This means that no such possibility of license-recovery-after-upgrade is available for me?   Or are there other mechanisms to back up my licenses?

Even if there is another way to back up the licenses, I see that restore them after the upgrade still requires a feature that my version of Windows Media Player does not.  Then I also need access to an alternative mechanism of restoration.  Is this one?

Looking around Windows Media Center, I can't find anything about the license management here either.

Considering the article like a Kipper full in Windows 7, my ultimate real question is that in the header for this post.

TV record types we are talking about here have copy - once protection and are recording using Windows Media Center has a CableCARD tuner.  I have a lot of them that I am not prepared to remove spied.

    Hi DavidVanserschel,

You may be able to manually reset DRM licenses. Take a look at the steps in this thread.

If you have an OEM version, once you change the motherboard that you will no longer be able to activate XP as OEM version is linked to the first motherboard that it is installed.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones help urgently needed. BBM7 missing after the OS upgrade! :(

Dear friends of BB and aid!

I need your help. I've seen some similar topics posted but no exactly the same as mine so I would really appreciate if someone can help me.

I have a major problem on the Blackberry Bold 9900.

A few days ago, I updated my Blackberry Messenger (BBM only) to BBM7. Everything worked well.

Then last night I got a message on my phone to update my OS 7 operating system that I installed it.
Then this morning I noticed that my BBM has disappeared from my phone and I can't.

    I currently have 7.1.0 Bundle 2061

(Also note that BB App world does not give me the option to download BBM and trying to download other applications also freezes the app world)

    I've already tried

    (1) hard reset / battery pull

    and

    (2) do a search universal and looking for hidden icons.

I saw a few other similar topics, but I wanted to ask you what to do...:

    (1) re - install BBM7 leave a link of this forum? or

    (2) downgrade OS7 to OS 6 via Options - software updates - Downgrade?

    Or other options?

The KEY is that I do not lose my BBM contacts! It is the ultimate goal of all that is recommended. I really hope that someone can help you.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Kind regards

    Michael

If you use BBM 7 before you upgrade your software, then contacts have already been synchronized to your BB ID.

If you use a different version of BBM before you upgrade, there is a chance of losing you your contacts, otherwise no

If the world of the app freezes during installation of your applications, reinstall the world app and then download BBM 7 again. As it boots up, it will ask your BB ID and password and your contacts will be restored.

BBM 7 is not yet installed, you can install also leave a link to this site.

Or you can also install by downloading from the app on the computer world and install using Blackberry Desktop Manager.

  • Files missing after Muse 2015 upgrade server

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I've recently updated as a result of Creative Cloud 2015 and now I get an error message with Muse on my site:

    www.skyehalfmarathon.com

I suspect a problem in the scripts folder, but I deleted all folders on the server and re-downloaded from 2015 muse and I still get the same error message.

Error message appears in the two latest version of Chrome and Internet Explorer on the laptop on broadband home ADSL.

Their two error messages that you can display when you try to access the site. When I saw the site in the browser everything appears as it should.

I tried to delete the files in the site then re-exporters and re download through third-party ftp program and also download FTP in the Muse. The error message appears the same in both cases. This suggests a bug in the exported code (file scripts?)

I would be grateful if you could look in to this as soon as possible because it is a breach of next years race marketing.

    Regards Hugh Campbell

    Marketing Director/site owner www.skyehalfmarathon.com

    Hi Hugh,.

Glad to know that the problem is solved! As you can see above, delete the manifest file was in one of my initial suggestions, so I'll repeat it here, for anyone who tries to solve this problem, as well as an additional step to reset the browsers chrome:

    (1) for the publication, select "Select All Files" and download all the files on the server, or

    (2) delete the file manifest and try again or

    (3) reset the preferences of google chrome

    • Exit google chrome
    • restart chromium and go to Preferences > settings
    • Scroll down and click on "Advanced settings".
    • Scroll down to the bottom again, and then click "reset settings".
    • Re - open the page and check if the error has disappeared

Glad to know that your problem has been resolved!

  • Folder my documents is missing after upgrade to Windows 7

Original title: MJ has upgraded to windows 7 ultimate

I just upgraded to windows 7 ultimate and now find my documents folder is missing, I have tred everything including checking my old windows files, but nothing is, can anyone help

    Hi Mike,.

Please answer a few questions to refine the question.

1 are you referring to the "documents" folder in Windows thelibrary?

    2. did you check the exact location of the folder "documents" in Windows 7?

    3. from which operating system you have upgraded to Windows 7?

    4. have you received an error during the upgrade to Windows 7?

    Method 1:

As was the Document and Settings folder in Windows XP Pro in Windows 7 does not have access to any user, as it is a protected file. The folder you're talking has now been replaced in Windows 7 with the USERS folder. And you can also access the folders of documents in libraries. You can search the documents folders in C:/Users/user_name.  If the problem persists, proceed to the next step.

    Method 2:

$INPLACE. ~ TR and $WINDOWS. ~ Q are leftover folders created by Windows during the upgrade process, if there is no error while upgrading files may be saved in these files.

Individual records will be hidden by default and you can view the folders to view the folders. You can look in the C: drive.

  • HP ENVY m6-1125dx: Beats Audio In/Out-put pilot missing AFTER Factory Reset/OfficeProgram reinstalling Windows

    Hello

So about three months ago I had a problem with my HP mouse and browser. both were glitching on screen and does not allow me to type consistently or right-click (to copy, paste, etc.). After seeking help from technology College friends, HP reps (which were not useful since my ch isn't under warranty anymore) and work friends, no one would understand it. I decided to make a setting reset according to which did not help. Then, a factory reset. Finally, it fixed my problem, yay no glitching more! So I contacted Microsoft to reinstall my Microsoft Office. After I have reset a computer and everything was in order, I hung up with them. By attempting to play a video a few moments later, I noticed that my volume is not working. I tried through the Troubleshooting Device Manager (replied 'No audio device found'), by lifting missing audio drivers via the HP Web site (found nothing) and call Microsoft to see what they could do since HP reps no help. So far, no progress is possible except that Microsoft has discovered that he is no longer an audio in/out located on my device. This is absurd! My laptop was purchased 2 years ago for around $500 with award-winning special Beats Audio Sound System. I want to come back. I was forced to resolve the previous question myself and I wa slucky enough to find a way. But now, I am presented with an audio problem I'm afraid that I can't solve in my favor.

If someone who comes through my investigation has informed business and education with a solution to the please my problem do not hesitate to contact me with your advice and your credentials. I'm willing to try anything at this point, but of course not at the expense of my computer. Experienced responses welcome!

I hope someone can help me. Manager Microsoft is kind enough and plans to call me again today at 15:00. But, I really don't think there is anything else on our end that we can do. It's all HP to reinstall the audio driver Beats for me once again.

    Thanks in advance.

I read that in the documentation he recommends quick vMotioning the VM on the host before the upgrade. It is unclear, however, if you are able to vMotion back once the upgrade is complete. For example, if we put a crowd of 4.1 in maintenance mode and upgrade to 5.0, are we able to their VM vMotion from one host 4.1 to 5.0 host?

After completing the upgrade of the host, so must we upgrade the virtual machine? When we completed our upgrade from 3.5 to 4.1, one of the steps included upgrading the virtual hardware that requires a reboot. Is it also necessary when moving from 4.1 to 5.0? And a reboot required?

Yes, you will be able to vmotion back - you can manage hosts ESXi 4 and 5 of ESXi with vCenter 5.x

You don't need to do immediately, but once all the hosts are upgraded to 5.x, you should pass the VMs-
