DTS and independent discs.

Global: How activate DTS move independent disks on vSphere 6.x device

-For some reason, we create all the VM with a persistent independent drive.

-We would like to 'solidarity hard disks.

In this case StorageDRS is unable to do its job, create a recommendation and migrate disks of one volume to another (all VM contains DTS unable to move independent labels and independent labels).

There is a cheat for vSphere 5.x - "a vpxd.cfg option sdrs.disableSDRSonIndependentDisk. "When specified and set to false, storage DRS will move to independent disks" (q) DTS Interview Questions | Virtual reality

> Note: this only works for independent non-shared drives.

Yes, it's ok, we don't have all the independent shared disks.

But the file is modified in vSphere 6.x vpxd.cfg format device, now it is of type xml.

And I still can't find how we can enable this option.

Help, please.

OK, after a bunch of tests, I found, the buildings should work.

Must insert in to before /etc/vmware-vpx/vpxd.cfg "" following lines:

fake

and then restart the service vmware-vpxd (beware, you have lost connection to vcenter in this time).

At least before I had in /var/log/vmware/vpxd/vpxd.log:

2016 05-11 T 15: 10:41.449Z of information vpxd [7F86C02C2700] [Originator@6876 sub = drmLogger = task-internal-2-73cbac2a-d5 opID] CreateDrmDisksForVm: device for ${name} VM vm 2002 DTS OFF for independent

for each virtual machine, run each DTS.

    original title: error 80070490 and installation disc?

    Dell, Vista, x 64 laptop.

    I can not install updates, including Service Pack 2 and IE 8. I managed to fix the other error messages, but this one is a winner.

    I can't follow the steps here because I don't have an installation DVD. The laptop doesn't have a CD/DVD-ROM internal drive and did not come with a disc because everything was preinstalled. Even if I had a disc, my computer does not recognize the CD/DVD-ROM external drive when it is plugged in (a problem at a time!), so it would always help. "The System Update tool does not work on this machine, probably because of that pesky little" compatible operating systems: Windows Vista Service Pack 2 "requirement. I so need SP2 to download the tool which will allow my computer to install SP2? Nice little catch-22 there. I agree with the irony. I disagree with not being able to install updates at all, ever.

    Is it possible to re - install without a disk? Can I solve this problem at all or I'll have to take the laptop to Best Buy and ask them to do some voodoo Geek Squad to it?

    Hello

    Check if your computer has a recovery partition.
    If the computer has a recovery partition, use the recovery partition to restore the computer to factory settings.
    Note:   All programs and data will be lost.  You can make a backup of all important data and reinstall programs.

    You can also contact the manufacturer of your computer, and asking for a disc.

    Hello and welcome to the HP support forums.  Sorry to hear about hard drive failure.  Now for the bad news.  There is no driver support for windows 8.1 for your laptop.

    The laptop was produced with Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit edition not windows 8 or 8.1, so it's drivers did not support to your system unless you reload Windows 7.

  • Manager ignored recovery discs 2 and 4 disc!

    Hi I have a HP Pavilion H8 - 1360t desktop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I tried to create defined 5 discs recovery but the errors received during the process. Disc 1 Burns fine, but when I put in the 2nd disc, I guess that the program does not like this disc because he said something in the sense that it is incompatible. So after he ejects the disc, I put in another disc and click Next. Rather than continue to burn disc 2, it jumped directly to disk 3. He did the same thing when I put in the next disc and popped disc 4. I only have disks 1, 3 and 5 of the recovery set as she claims, she did it with success. I used Fuji Film DVD + R discs. I think there may have been some bad discs, but I thought the recovery program would try again the drive failed instead of jumping on the next record. I know that I am only allowed to burn a set of recovery disks, but is it possible that I can get the other 2 discs which he jumps?

    I think just to order the recovery disks and done with it, but I was wondering if all software will be on them. For example, with my order from that computer, so that I got the two Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Premiere Elements free, which I suppose is on my recovery partition. The disks I order will contain these programs as well? On my computer, the Recovery Manager said that it would take 5-disc, but when I look for order the discs it will ship only 3 drives. Does this mean that I will get the Adobe programs that I got for free?

    Also, I bought the $15 upgrade to Windows 8 it is why I created the restore disks. I would like to do a "clean" Windows 8 install, but I'll be able to install things of the recovery as the Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements partition, or it market only during the restoration of Windows 7?

    Thank you

    skalover89

    Because there was a problem creating your HP recovery disc set, you should be able to contact HP Customer Support and ask for a free recovery disk set. When you talk to them the disks, wondering how both recovery programs you the 'free' from Adobe.

    You will most likely lose the possibility to use or install software on the HP Recovery partition or HP recovery discs if do a "clean" Windows 8 install. You can watch your drive "C:" to a folder named "SWSETUP". If it exists, it must contain many, if not all, the drivers and the software that was shipped with your computer.

  • Satellite L500D - can only burn the recovery of 1st and 2nd disc

    I bought this 2nd hand computer laptop in the last two days with the factory default reset. However, I could only burn the 1st recovery disc 2 of 4 using Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator.

    I am running Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit. I started at F8 factory reset "out of the box" settings that went well. I did where there was a small problem when the previous owner restored to factory settings.

    As he had SP1, I installed SP2. I upgraded the BIOS to 1.1 to 1.4, the latest. I also installed the latest version of Recovery Disc Creator for L500D, after uninstalling the old version.

    Downloads from http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/notebooks/satellite/l500/pslk0a-00r009/download.

    I changed to another brand of DVD blank. I have checked and unchecked "Verify" in the Recovery Disc Creator. I also have the latest installed version of the Toshiba disc Creator software. I tried to burn discs 3 & 4 separately overall

    I get no error message, just as the taskbar progress 3rd disc ends never quite at the end. The former owner has never created a set of the factory restore disks. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Hello

    to be honest, I have not idea why t he does not burn it. I can offer you:

    1. use a high quality like Dvd - R verbatim media

    > I also installed the latest version of Recovery Disc Creator for L500D, after uninstalling the old version.

    2 maybe, he won't burn with Toshiba disc creator software update. Restore back factory settings and try again with the old version of Toshiba disc creator.

  • The Toshiba registry patch update and Toshiba disc creator issues

    I do not understand how the registry patch update, I downloaded and extracted the update, as requested in a temporary folder, but there is no setup install and I'm sure I didn't install anything, unless the system is installed itself without asking me. I want to know how this registry patch works and how it is installed.

    And the creator of disc has lost more than 15 DVDs with the same error code 380381-26-2A030C00. I don't know what to do about this, I tried microsoft solve this software and remove the upper and lower filters in the registry but still I can not burn CD

    Help me. Thank you.

    Hello

    I was a little confused m
    This Disc Creator patch do you mean?
    What cell phone do you have exactly?

    On the page of the European driver Toshiba, I have found a few patches as patch recovery.
    But it's registry Patch for the restoration of the system.
    After downloading the zip file, you should unpack this package, then you will find an exe file, this file must be decompressed also! Right-click on this file and select unpack here.
    Now, you should find a few other files and folders should be an install.exe

    However, in your case I would recommend testing another disc as DVD-R from different manufacturers as TDK
    I use DVD R and never had any problems with these discs

  • Qosmio G10 and recovery disc - BSOD

    Hello

    I've had my G10 for a few years now and becomes very slow so I thought that I would like to re - install XP to get rid of all the waste.
    So I put the product recovery disc in and formatted the c drive and he did his thing and seemed to re - install ok

    When I rebooted, I get the Qosmio startup screen followed by a BSOD that is so fast that I can't read.

    I don't know what to do now?

    Any ideas would be appreciated

    Mike

    Hello Mike

    I understand you, but if you have a problem should not be the reason to write stuff not justified here.

    At, first check what is written on the grey top of this forum. This is the forum for users. This means no responses from Toshiba. So, I hope that we have clarified this now.

    Second your comment about recovery media works does not is also funny.
    How old is your Qosmio laptop?
    Do you use a recovery media for the first time?

    Is it possible that there is another reason for support of non-working recovery?
    Have you done the updates such as RAM or HARD drive?

  • Touch smart 520: will the same work of recovery for the smart touch 320 and 520 disc?

    I have 2 computers which were to have the drive to clean up.  They tell me that I needed to first create a recovery.  Can I order a set of disks and reinstall on both?

    @h2obry: the cost is actually a set of disks, usually three DVDs and a CD of drivers, even if I understand that now, you can order a USB drive instead... but yes, the cost is for each 'set' - if it's a bunch of discs or a USB key.

  • can't see MP3 disc on the CD/DVD drive - I just see it file and no disc displayed. There is no error message; all other disks, file types work very well!

    And I already tried the MS Utility to solve this problem.  She could not do - he asked me to insert a readable disc (when he could not see the MP3), so insert another disc that was readable.  Completed the "patches" then the last section inquire whether or not the problem was resolved in effect, I answered no.  I did have success as a result of the Microsoft community' suggestion that he left me with.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/GP/cd_dvd_drive_problems

    You have this problem with just this one CD?

    The CD may be damaged or dirty. Some readers may handle these CDs better than others, so it is perfectly possible that a player can still play the CD, while others do not. I suggest that you create a new copy of the CD on an other machines it can still be read.

  • Missing Boot Manager and no disc

    We have windows vista and recently my husbands computer stopped working. It turns on and starts to load but then says missing Boot Manager. We got our computers through our College and don't have the startup disk or recovery disk. We do not know what to do. I know that this seems to be a common problem with an easy solution... IF you have the rcovery disc. SO my question is how do solve us our problem without the disc? Someone please help us. We need our computer for school. Thanks in advance.

    1. try to make a record of BootableRepair.

    2 borrow a good Vista DVD.

    3. get recovery in any case discs.

    Download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html

    Above information shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    You can also make recovery disk/s since the Partition of recovery in case of hard drive failure or System Crash, when you are in service again.
    They will tell you how to do this.
    Every computer manufacturer has their way of doing recovery disk/s.
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
