DVD/CDR is no longer visible in Windows 7 and unusable

I don't know what I should do to fix this problem.  That's what shows when I go into devices and watch the cd I tried to restore the previous system, but that did not fix it.  It is in a Dell laptop running Windows 7, any help would be greatly appreciated that the DVD is not usable as is.

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19).

19 code means there is a driver conflict such as two devices attempt to use the same resources.

Having too many CD/DVD programs can cause strange problems, especially if they're loading of parts of them.
Selves at the start because they will be competing for resources. This does not mean that this problem was caused by
These however is a possibility depending on which and how many you have installed.

Follow these steps to remove corruption and missing/damaged file system repair or replacement.

Start - type in the search box - find CMD top - RIGHT CLICK – RUN AS ADMIN

Then run checkdisk (chkdsk).

==========================================================

After the foregoing:

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and the
correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
the parameters.

Then go to the registry and remove the filter top and bottom of this key:

  • Since the update Windows 10, my CS5 Photoshop created jpg are no longer visible in Windows Explorer (File Manager)

Since the update Windows 10, my CS5 Photoshop created jpg are no longer visible in Windows Explorer (File Manager).  I have reset Photoshop like application default for jpg files, rebooted.  Nothing has changed.  The ideas people?

    Hi R_Kelly,

Hidden folder/file settings was the first place, I checked and kept checking each new reboot.

I have copied below my temporary solution I posted in another forum thread.

See point 7.  I found a way to make it visible again.

    1. I can see all jpg files created before Win10 update AND all the jpgs created by other programs, other than Photoshops after Win 10 update.

2 Photoshop cannot see the newly created Photoshop created jpg files in the file picker at all since Upgrade to Win 10.  I've never had a problem of invisibility of file before winning 10 update.  My hidden files were always checked to be visible.  However, Photoshop can open if listed files in a basic text file search in Windows Explorer in the path of the file "recently used".

    3. the files are not visible or clickable at all in Windows Explorer tree or the Photoshop file selector. They become open and visible when listed in a basic text file search in Windows Explorer in the path of the file "recently used".

4 Microsoft Office applications can't see the new Photoshop created Jpg files in file, only pre Win 10 update pickers jpg created by other applications and versions.

    5. the problem occurs only with Photoshop jpg created after the Win 10 update.

    6. I checked the settings "Show hidden files, folders and files of the operating system", and they remain as they were, which allows all the hidden to visible objects.  I kept the visibility settings files in this way since the early 1990s.

    Temporary fix below *.

    7. I did yet another simple search of the text Windows Explorer, he finds invisible jpg files less all links 'recently used' who were there yesterday (2nd day after I created the files), I checked the location of file properties file and it entered the original file I saved their.  Using a right-click of the mouse on the file to bring up the menu actions and file properties, I was able to copy and then paste the file into another directory.  I jumped on the directories to see if it remains visible and he (Yes). The new copy is now visible to the pickers of file in Photoshop and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Hard drive is no longer visible to windows 7 ultimate x 64

    Hi all
I'm a MSDN. I have a number of virtual machines that I work on.

Last night, I had two running virtual machines and failure at the same time.  They go on my F drive.

Restarting the PC drive F is not visible to windows. I'm guessing that there is some sort of failure on the drive.

I was looking around and found advice like going to disk management and rescan etc. No luck so far.

I tried to switch the machine on in the BIOS, but in the bios ASUS, I do not see the mentioned drives.

Can someone point me to a good article on how to diagnose the drive suddenly disappear like that with a failure suspected of some sort?

This must happen a lot. I'm surprised that I wasn't able to find a good article detailed on google.

I hope it isn't a catastrophic disk failure.

Please accept my thanks in advance for any help you can be in this case.

    Best regards

  • CD/DVD drive, it is not supported by Windows XP and Bios

I bought a new Mat * un Panasonic cd/dvd player.
It only works on Windows 2000, it is not supported by Windows XP and Bios, so I can't start with.

Could you please provide some information about yourself (name) for laptop?
Did you buy this player or that player supplied with the notebook?

If the player is not berecognised by the BIOS, then in my opinion, the drive supports bad master / slave / parameters c - salt.
You should know that not all drives are compatible.

  • Firefox is no longer this morning: Windows Vista and Windows 7.

The exact scenario of the problem seems to depend on the web page being opened and perhaps the operating system. On Windows 7, it is in a default configuration of Firefox with no Add-ons and am trying to load my homepage, which is just a collection of URLS. I wrote it myself, and it's strictly classic HTML - no Java or something else. Here, I get the web page "(untitled)" when he tries to load the home page, then the same behavior when I try to load anything else.

Under Vista, my home page is the page of my email provider and I use Noscript with everything on the home page enabled. However, it resembles how a page appears if Java is only partially active by Noscript. It is not the way this particular page seems if Java is not enabled, so this isn't the problem. The error in the log for this page is below. Here, I can partially charge to a large number of pages, generating different errors depending on what page, I'm trying to load.

These machines are running Secunia so he reported everything to day when I scanned yesterday. I am running Mozilla 3.6.6 both places and or ID has administrator privileges - I'm afraid to try Firefox on my administrator ID.

I think it started after that Norton Internet Security had me restart due to an unidentified security problem, but Firefox is the only thing that seems to be affected. I had to switch to Internet Explorer to write it, or get something else does.

    This has happened

    Each time Firefox opened

Is after that Norton Internet Security had me restart because of security problem

After working a bit on a XP machine, I discovered that uninstall / reinstall erased the problem on all machines. I guess something must have been corrupted.

  • Obtain printer drivers for Windows 7 and 8

If you have a new Windows 8 PC and you want to connect it to your printer, you may need to install a print driver. You may also need to install a printer driver if you just got a new printer.

While many drivers are integrated in the Windows operating system, you may obtain the latest printer driver for the printer works correctly with your version of Windows.

HP makes it easy to find and install the correct driver with the printer Installation Wizard. Printer Installation Wizard works in Windows 7 and Windows 8. Printer Installation Wizard works by downloading and installing the newest and most appropriate HP software available for your HP printer. All you have to do is download the tool, run it and follow the instructions on the screen. For the tool, go here: HP printer install wizard for Windows.

    NOTES

HP printer Installation Wizard will install a driver of long for your Windows 7 and Windows 8 active product (s). If a long driver is not available, the wizard will direct you to the site HP.com support for the alternative driver options and instructions.

Remember that HP printer Installation Wizard does not support the version of Windows 8 RT for computers or the ARM-based tablets. Installation of additional printing software is not required on that version and HP recommends users use printing features that are already included in Windows 8 RT.
