  • DVD player stopped working after the installation of 12 items

First, I loaded the disc DVD in the drive and tried several times to install 12 elements.  Whenever the program has been installed the computer would start flashing and the dvd drive may stop working. Every time I had to use a PIN to eject the DVD because it would not eject.  It worked well before its installation to 12 items. After that the program was finally installed dvd player worked.  But the program would be closed when you use it too often.  I finally just deleted the program of 12 items on my computer and install it on another system.  It's been a while since the abolition of the program from my computer. Tonight, I reinstalled the program Adobe 12 elements with the dvd drive works fine.  Trying to install the program, all loaded fine.  Then once more, the dvd drive eject nor does any work.  What happened several times with 12 elements of loading on my computer.  It is a real pain.  Now the DVD drive doesn't work, or eject.  Can someone help me out here?  It sucks. The other computer works fine.  It is a HP Pavilion, Windows 7 Home Premium system.

Computer was off all night. Turned on this morning and the system works now.  I rebooted the system, at least six times last night with no result. I don't know what was different this morning, but everything seems to work.  So if it's not broken I will not try to fix it.  Thanks for posting. Dan

  • DVD player not recognized after starting in windows server 2003 r2

I installed Windows Server 2003 R2 Std on my HP DL180 G6 by using the internal DVD player, but after booting into windows, the DVD drive could not be recognized and it's showing in the 'PCI device' Device Manager under "Unknown device" with a yellow question mark. I googled and tried some of the solutions, also tried to reformat and reinstall Windows, but still facing the same problem. HP support gave me some solutions like updated BIOS, erasing the CMOS memory, unplug and plug back the sata cable, but always without success.

  • DVD player falls down after that each fix and the film played

Error display says decoder need and the file cannot be found / this problem is not repairable

    Hi J.G. Sanchez,.

-What is the brand and model of your DVD player?
-What's the fix you're talking about?
-What, exactly, is a transcript of the error message that you receive?

A DVD decoder is another name for a MPEG-2 decoder. The content on DVD-Video discs is encoded in MPEG-2 format, as is the content of the files DVR - MS (Microsoft recorded TV Shows) and some AVI files. To read these articles in the drive, you need a compatible DVD decoder installed on your computer.

If your computer has a DVD drive, it probably already has a DVD decoder installed on it. However, if you encounter an error message that indicates that you are missing a compatible DVD decoder, click Web help on the error message dialog box to determine how to obtain one.

Step 1: If you are not sure which decoder is installed on your computer, install the Windows XP DVD Decoder Checkup Utility from the link given below. You can use this utility to:

    • Identify the MPEG-2 decoders that are installed on your computer.
    • Determine whether the decoders are compatible with Windows Media Player 10.
    • Choose which installed decoder you want Windows Media Player 10 to use when synchronizing DVR - MS files to a mobile device.

To check if the decoder is present on your computer, see:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=DE1491AC-0AB6-4990-943D-627E6ADE9FCB&displaylang=en

Step 2: In some cases, the utility offers a Web site where an updated decoder might be available.

If the program indicates that you do not have a MPEG-2 decoder installed, consider purchasing one.

You can download the DVD decoder from the link below:

  • DVD player not recognized after the upgrade to windows 8

I write this to document some odd behavior, that I lived after the upgrade to Windows 8 in the hope that it might save some grief for others.  Of course, if someone could explain why this problem occurs, I'd be very interested/grateful for an answer.

I recently updated my computer from Vista Ultimate to Windows 8.  I did a clean install of Windows 8, because there is nothing special about the machine I wanted to preserve.  In all cases, the upgrade went without a hitch and I was soon back up with Windows 8 as my OS (I really like, btw).

The only oddity I noticed after the upgrade is that my DVD drive was not recognized by the operating system.  Remember, this is the same DVD player that was used to install the OS, so I found it rather peculiar.  After a bit of lost time, try software solutions theoretical I started to play with the equipment.

My motherboard is an ASUS M3A78-EM.  My hard drive is attached to the SATA1 port and my DVD player is plugged into the SATA2 port.  I removed the DVD drive from SATA2, plugged into SATA3, restart Windows 8 (from HDD on SATA1) and Windows 8 now recognizes the drive!

I thought it was really weird, so I stop, put the DVD on SATA2 drive, rebooted, and the drive was no longer available in Windows 8.

OK, so I thought that maybe the SATA2 channel was bad (even if he had worked at the Windows 8 DVD installation, just an hour or two before), so I put my HDD on SATA2 and the DVD drive on SATA1.  After doing this, Windows 8 start very well (so there is nothing wrong with SATA2), and it recognizes the DVD on the SATA1 drive.

OK, so I did that for a while, and virtually all combinations I tried worked as long as the DVD player is not plugged in SATA2.

I cannot live with that, but thought it was really strange.  Also, I note that the old operating system (Vista) was acknowledging the same DVD player while it was plugged on SATA2.  This leads me to believe that the problem has something to do with Windows 8, but I can't imagine what could be the cause.

Thanks dude.  After you create this registry key/value and restart Windows 8 was able to finally see my DVD drive on SATA2.  =)

  • Unable to add data to the Virgin DVD + RW double layer after having ejected backup problem.

Did a backup using DVD + R double layer, and after having ejected the last media due to clerical error, I can no longer continue the backup due to the error: insert a disc - it seems that my hardware is no longer detect dual layer blank media. Works great on regular blank media 4.7 GB.

    Hi sal69,

This problem is caused by physical limitations in DL (Double Layer) media. These limitations prevent any real use multisession. When the media is ejected, the disc session may be closed for DVD-ROM compatibility. On these discs, DVD-ROM compatibility is achieved only when the disc is complete. When the disc is finished, it is closed forever. The physical characteristics of the media require two layers will be burned so that the disc can be played in a DVD player. The two layers can be burned only by closing the disc. As soon as the disc is closed, no additional data can be added to him.

  • DVD player freezes when audio editing

My application DVD player recently started crashing every time that trying to change the volume of the silent era. The laptop is a MacBook 12 "retina 2015, using an external DVD drive that has worked very well for a year. Have tried on many different DVDs and they all load fine, DVD player auto-commence, but they all open with no sound. If I try to increase the volume of 0 on the slider, the player crashes. If I try to access audio via the menu 'Options' menu does load not for Audio and audio disk configuration is similarly frozen to corruption. Other audio works fine on the machine. Any idea on what could be the problem? Thank you.

    Greetings bhan001,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It seems you want to play a dvd on the MacBook connected via an external dvd drive. Given that the application crashes using each dvd that you tried it may be a problem with the application itself. There are a few things that we can try to isolate and solve the problem.  I would recommend you read these articles, starting in safe mode disables the 3rd party applications that may interfere with the DVD player application. If the problem persists, we can try a new user to test to see if it's a matter of profile or the scale of the system.

    Hello

I think it s just a software problem.
There must be something wrong with your operating system, because in my case everything works correctly.

To be honest I n don't know what's wrong with your Toshiba drive preinstalled and I think that most people can provide only a few suggestions, so here's my suggestion.

First update the BONE to this early time.
Then remove the old Toshiba DVD player applications.
Reboot the laptop and then clean the BONES and the registry using CCleaner (free tool).
Download the most recent DVD Toshiba drive tool (at that time v 1.40.20), then install again.

    Usually, this should help
