DVD players dual layer works do not correctly under Windows 7 64-bit

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I have a LIte on double layer DVD writer which has the latest firmware. Unfortunately, while all software can see it's a double layer capable drive, time that I try to use it, it fails. The drive itself is good because if I put in a system using Windows 7 32-bit, it burns discs double layer perfectly. I've been all over the internet for the last 2 days looking for solutions, and I have tried everything that I've heard of. Uninstalling drivers, ensuring that there is no upper or lower filters showing, uninstall and then reinstall the drive, edit the registry. Again, the drive WILL burn discs double layer in 32-bit Windows 7, but it burns ONLY of single layer DVD in Windows 7 64 bit.

I hope that someone here has found a solution to this. Especially since I'm wanting to upgrade to a Blu - Ray dual layer burner so that I can use fewer disks to make backups of the system. I know Bu-Ray discs are more expensive, but I prefer to use 2 or 3 Blu ray discs to backup my system than 10 or 15 DVD. However, if discs double layer Blu Ray do not work under 64-bit Windows 7, then there is no need to upgrade.

OK, 1. The drive works PERFECTLY under Windows 7 32 bit, which has all the same drivers / software that is running the 64-bit system.

2 features of fine player like a DVD of SINGLE LAYER burner (it burns fine of the simple DVD layer), but not as a burner double layer (doesn't even recognize a DVD double layer is still in the drive, he MADE on the 32-bit system and burn them without any problem.)

I have contacted LITE-ON and am running the latest firmware. Similarly all other drivers on the system (a new system just built 2 weeks ago). Basically, all the material on the 32 bit WINDOWS 7 are cloned on the 64 bit system. Everything is the same. Only change is the operating system.

I've seen other forums that have been linked and tried everything suggested... which most have not even apply it. Still refuses to acknowledge that a DL disk is in the drive.

So at this point, I'm simply not worry more. Going to buy the Blu - Ray burner and only single layer Blu - ray discs.

Thank you all for trying to help. I guess the answer to this is that no one really knows what that really is the issue, and even less how to fix.

  • Solution Center does not correctly install Windows 7 64 bit

I've looked everywhere on the forum about this but still do not have a resolution.

I have a HP Photosmart C7280, I've had two or three years.  When it is connected to an XP machine it worked fine.  I have since bought a new PC running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit, and although I tried over and over, install, uninstall and reinstall the software from the HP Solution Center, I can't work.  I really need to have the feature analysis of the Cluster Solution that I need to scan documents up to 100 pages.

Is it possible that this software is not compatible with Windows 7 64 bit?  I downloaded the software later on the site of HP and my PC works always the latest updates of Windows 7.

If I can't get this resolved, I'll have to buy a new printer all-in-one and believe me it will not be a HP this time.  Help, please.

Well I'm done chasing my tail.  It is clear that this is never going to work.  I tried to do the installation on another machine in 64-bit Windows 7 (gateway GT5228) which was a clean install and never had a HP product installed on it before and she's not exactly the same way.  I also tried a XP operating system installation and it works beautifully.  So my conclusion is that developers at HP simply no interest to this provision on Windows 7 64 bit, or they are simply too incompetent to make it work properly.  I am a software consultant in real life, and I do installations on servers is not as if I'm inexperienced.  I decided to buy another printer, but after this experience, it will not be a HP.  It is not just that a printer that works very well mechanically must be thrown on the junk-pile because the software cannot be upgraded successfully.  HP is not very favourable to the environment, creation of garbage where it could be avoided.  Sad and disappointed.

I have a Thrustmaster Top Gun Fox 2 Pro and it will not install in Windows 7 64 bit, Windows reports it cannot find a driver.  The manufacturer says not all newer than Windows XP drivers.

    I thought about it:

    1. Download ftp://ftp.thrustmaster.com/accessories/pc/hotas/exe/HOTASCOUGAR/2007_HCO_VISTA_64_RC1.exe (Vista for their Cougar Joystick driver)
    2. Make a click on the file and choose Run as Vista Sp2 compat mode and run as admin.
    3. Run the installation program and the joystick connection when you are invited (and installed).
    4. End task on the Setup (it is always waiting for the cougar to be plugged).

  • Firefox doesn't work does not correctly on Windows 10

Well, I've upgraded to Windows 10 and since then, Firefox is not working properly (not not display graphics, google sites won't load do not, etc.), I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, I even waited for the new update... None of them worked. I read something about security certificates, saying I had to import them to Firefox, but the certificate that he mentioned did not exist in my computer. I have also disabled hardware acceleration, cleared my cache, even deleted my profile from my computer, all to nothing does not. It is sad to see the attached screen. (A text-only screen saying: "Firefox + Windows 10.) Perfect set")

I hope you guys can resolve this problem as soon as possible. If this is happening to me, it happens to a lot of people.

Did you secure yourself certificate errors? If Yes, do you use Avast, BitDefender, ESET or Kaspersky?

If you do, we can give specific suggestions.*

    * For Avast, you can disable the part numerical analysis of Web Shield. I saw these steps in another post:

    1. Open the Avast dashboard on an affected system.
    2. Select settings in the left side menu.
    3. Adopt a Protection Active.
    4. Click on customize next to the Web Shield.
    5. Uncheck the option "Enable HTTPS analysis", and then click ok.
  • D - Link USB Hub DUB - H7 works do not correctly with Windows 8

I am also having the same problems.

Very recently, I went from 7 to 8.1 and with the operation of the steam, the sound of connect/disconnect repeats about every 10 seconds. If I disconnect the D - Link DUB - H7 sound no longer appears.

I could live with it for the time being cut just sounds system, but unfortunately the problems don't stop there.

If I have my USB DAC (sound card) connected via the hub, pilots always crashes in a few minutes in Spotify or any multimedia player. It means that I actually listen to music at all.

Hardware troubleshooting does not detect any problems at all. For now I'll connect my USB DAC separately and cut system sounds, but it is not a solution. Never had any problems with this hub in Windows 7 and I don't really feel like buying another usb hub since it fits my needs perfectly.

  • A Lexmark E210 Laser printer is not recognized under Windows 7 64-bit

We have a Lexmark E210 laser printer and also a driver CD provided with it by Lexmark. This printer works well with windows Vista, but we cannot load this on one of our computers from Dell with Windows 7, 64 bit OS.   Windows 7 is unable to acknowledge this fact. Can someone tell us how to add/load this printer?

According to the Lexmark E210 Windows 7 Compatibility Center , the printer is compatible with Windows 7 32-bit but is not compatible with 64 - bit.  However, the following link shows a way that someone was able to make it work by using a driver from Samsung: http://www.vistax64.com/drivers/268205-lexmark-e210-samsung-ml-1210-a-2.html

Is anyone else having problems with PS6 after switching to Windows 10?  Every bit of controls results in my image go black or the area outside the image to transform "into white" (checkerboard showing empty rather than dark grey which is usually the backdrop for the image I work with).  At first I thought that I could live with it, but now it's extremely annoying.
