DVD writer problem

Hello.
When I try to burn a DVD, it's an error "Power Calibration Area". The only DVD I can burn DVD + RW 1-4 x speed but those are slow and expensive. In any case, the point is that I can not burn normal DVD. The error appears when he writes not 'leds-in '. I tried it on 4 DVDs and all do the same, devirted power of the burner, try'ed 4 different programs to burn with (all the Power Calibration Area). I use windows 7, but when I had windows XP it worked well. I have new hardware and I think that's the problem.
Keyboard: G15, which has lights inside her and a LCD monitor
Wireless Headset: Logitech
Wireless mouse: Logitech
Neon lights in my PC
6 fans to cool
2 DVD-ROM
And other things...
Although the porridge to take some powers and it seems that all this stuff, drains, too much energy so that the burners can work properly. This box, as soupply' are the PC with power has only 240 VOLTS. The main question is, I need more power, or do I need to buy new burners? Burners are old 1 year and ahould be ok.
Goodbye =)

    Hello Sir/Madam

Please help me I have a problem in my DVD - RW drive when I insert a blank dvd shows 1.31 1.31 GB instead of 4.7 GB GB. What I can do. How can I solve this problem?

    As for kinglord55

I contacted Princo technical engineer and I described the problem to him and provide him with my laptop model and other info, so he found the idea... their message for me is the following:

"We have investigated your problem and summarized our end as follows:
    * Our DVD Slim 24 X is very thin, so that your computer laptop DVD - RW burner is recognizing our DVD Slim Mini DVD-R (8 cm 1.5 GB).

    * This can be happen because of the incompatibility of firmware DVD - RW writer or ancient writers of DVD - RW model.

DELL N5010 is little bit old model, we tested with DELL N5110 and most of the writers for laptop / desktop model DVD - RW and it gives excellent performance. Already said some model PC computer and other portable computers, he's working with a capacity of 4.7 GB. It's the same reason.

We recommend to contact your laptop vendor to update the firmware of your DVD - RW burner or try to use the new template writers. Reference DELL always have their latest firmware. »

I think that my DVD - RW is old as he said and will never recognize the slim DVD-R that I updated its firmware, but nothing happens.

Add I used another brand of discs that are not thin and it gives me the full capacity of 4.7 GB with no problems and that make sense and confirms the notion of engineering technique.

  • Inspiron 600 - DVD writer problem

My author/reader of DVD of NEC decided that it won't write on DVDs. It will record on a CD but not a DVD.  The software is Sonic record now.  The software recognizes the DVD in the drive and begins as it will make the data copy, but then stops and tells me to clean the DVD or try another brand.  So far, I'm on my 3rd brand and no results.  In the error box down there is an "Advanced" button which shows:

    Sense: 05 ASC: ASCQ 30: 05 (command 2A)

    .............................

    PX.dll: 3.6.36.500

and a lot more than this guy below...

I've updated the NEC driver on the Dell website and I removed and reloaded the more Sonic a Sonic DLA update from the web site of Dell and still no results.

  • Satellite A75: Problem external USB 2.0 DVD writer

I have Toshiba Satellite A75 and try to connect external DVD writer in USB 2.0. The writer is recognized without problems. She can read and erase CD and DVD but when trying to save in Nero 6.6 I received the error message: "abandoned scsi command.

    Hi Arek

In my opinion, there are many reasons that may be responsible for this problem.

One of them is a conflict with other software of CD burning, that is currently or was once installed on the system. These other recording programs registry changes is the normal cause and only for cleaning the registry after removing the software will solve the problem.

You have some other burning software installed on your device?

  • DVD writer stopped writing - Vista missing files

My dvd writer just stopped working. It crashes 5 dry (50%) and then told me that I don't have a recordable disc. I just noticed, but he COULD have started right after my daughter installed the latest version of itunes. Certainly miss me my IMAPI service cmd = sc query ImapiService returns "the Service does not exist. I have also no controller of ata/atapi IDE showing in my device manager, although my SATA dvd writer appear.

I'm running Vista 64 HP SP2 on a HP 8430f mediacenter. I swapped the device and tried different disks without result. What deleted my files? Two of them are the source of my problem? Can an 'upgrade' of Vista with my old discs to reinstall them?

The Itunes software has caused your problem. Not knowing your daughters age and sensitivities, I can only offer this Advisor, from the season. (Look at my photo for a clue).

You will find a hand for her computer or you share the computer with different accounts.

Now, to solve your problem for now.

    (1) have you tried a "system restore point". Vista has written a just restore point before the installation of applications (ie itunes).

    (2) HP troubleshooting utility:http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00817052&tmp_task=solveCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&os=4062&rule=3540&product=3686668&sw_lang=#c00817052_dm

    (3) can do an "upgrade" to Vista with my old discs to reinstall them? Please, do not use this wording, I get a terrible cold. What your actually implying to use your "recovery discs DVDs" to solve the problem.  This is not an upgrade, it is a destructive formatting your drive, reinstall the original Vista operating system. Have you started shaking? (Any OS) reinstall erases the hard drive. You willlose all your photos, music, documents and all theinstalled programs that you added to the system.

  • DVD writer prob

I have a dvd writer what tray comes out sometime sometimes not it crashes any solution to free up the movement of the status bar.

    Hello

    ·        Who is the manufacturer of your DVD drive and what model?

    ·        Since when are you facing this problem?

    ·        Remember to make changes to the system?

It could be a hardware problem, I suggest opening the case and try to clean the disc.

It may happen if the grease on the rails DVD transport becomes difficult. Cleaning that can help you.

    Thanks and regards.

  • DVD writer is recognized but cannot burn files

I am working on a friends computer and had to do a restore point to fix another problem.  After the restore point, everything works except the DVD/CD burner.  I can install a blank DVD or CD and Windows recognizes it and says I need to format it.  I have format it and give it a name and he accepts it. I put this drive on another computer, and it displays the name, I gave and I can use the disc in another computer.  I put the disc into his computer and it shows the disc with the name I gave to him, but I can't copy all of the files for it.  It does not show the ability to burn files when I select the files and if I try to copy or drag them to the DVD writer, nothing happens.  Paste function is grayed out when I select the DVD burner.  I can read files off other disks.  I tried to uninstall the DVD/CD player and reinstall the driver.  I uninstalled the IDE controller and reinstalled the driver.  Nothing seems to fix this.  The computer is an HP Pavilion Slimline s3200t with a built-in DVD/CD burner model HL-DT-ST DVD - RW GSA-H60L.  It runs Windows Vista Edition Home Premium with Service Pack 2. This drive was working properly before using the Restore Point.  I have not found any similar to this problem in the help forums.  Help, please.  Thank you.

Work Yes, but does not properly. Visit the forums to Evan and try the above methods
as sometimes running across these kick will begin a CD/DVD to work properly. As I said
a CD/DVD is 4 disks 1 and one or several parts can fail separately from the rest.

Have you recently added any software CD/DVD? What antivirus/antispyware/securiy programs have
NEVER been on the system - these and the remains of those installed since may cause strange problems.

  • Win 7 and DVD writer LG GP50Nb40 USB - device unknown

    Hello

I bought the DVD external USB GP50Nb40 LG burner and I'm under Win 7 64 bit.  I have connected the device with the supplied cable and windows says that there is already a device and refused to play the DVD.

I have a HP DVD writer internal.  so I assumed that there was a conflict and disabled the HP device.  Windows has always refused to recognize the device.

then I activated the HP and put the LG inside installation disk and copied it on my hard drive.

then I opened my office case and disconnect the power cable and sata internal DVD HP.

then I turned the computer back on and the LG software installed disk.

then I downloaded an update from LG as directed by their software.

He failed because he said that I didn't have the specified device from LG.

but I have the LG connected via USB 2.0 hub, but I can't use it all.

    Windows displays an unknown device.

is there anyway to get my external LG to work or do I have to return to electronic Fry?

I've already spent more than 2.5 hours on what should have been a very simple installation, that's why I bought a USB device instead of an internal procedure.

Assuming that you tried to connect to USB ports - preferably a USB port on the back plane of the computer and not through a hub - I assume that the device is defective and return.

From what I can tell, this external hard drive does not have its own power supply and relies on the USB for power.  This can cause problems if you have other devices drawing power.  Try that it connected directly to the computer with no other USB devices connected other than the keyboard and mouse.

  • LightScribe dvd writer/burner does not

I have a PC HP Pavilion Media Center with windows 64 Bit the CDRom 8Pro OS, it works very well, but the dvd burner does not work. Massage appears asking me to put a cd in the unit, even if there is already in the drive.  Device Manager acknowledges the two discs and a convenience store can not detect potential failures. Information System also recognizes readers.  The names of drive information dvd writer the C:\windows\system32\drivers\cdrom.sys drive as my system is 64 bit, this could be the problem and if so, how do I fix it?

Sorry, but the last I knew the Lightscribe technology was not Compatible with Windows 8.0/8.1. I don't know of anyone who has managed to get this working. Hope this helps and if you need any additional aid station and we will be happy to help you.

    Hello

Yes, I think that it is possible, because the L10-189 has a DVD Super Multi drive installed.
Go to a service partner, they can build in the player for you. Otherwise, you will lose your warranty.

  • Satellite P100 - cannot get the CD/DVD writer to work under WXP Pro

    Hello

I recently updated my Satellite P100 - 188 (PSPA3E) to run Windows XP Pro SP2.

I can't have the CD/DVD writer to work well. I looked on the downloads page, but there seems to be nothing. It reads the CD/dvd, but allow me to write to them. If I put a blank CD in nothing happens.

Someone has ideas how to get this working again?

    Thanks in advance...

    Kind regards

    Hi Matt

Maybe you should install like Nero burning software. Original Toshiba image (WXP MCE) it was an engraving Sonic RecordNow software pre-installed.
