• Replacement cables SHC68-68-EPM?

  I have a PXI-6363.  The recommended cable is the SHC68-68-EPM cable.  I have one of these practices, but need 2.  I found a couple of unused cables carrying around (NI SHC68-68 - RMIO & SHC68 - 68 - RDIO).  Can I use one of these as a substitute for a cable EPM?

  I am not convinced that you can simply replace them and if they don't work it wouldn't be ideal. On the one hand, the SHC68-68-EPM cable specifies that it ends by a shift of VHDCI 68 pin, while others are just VHDCI, but I was not able to find information about the difference. In addition, they list compatibility for X and M series for RMIO or RDIO cable. While they are all 68 pin cables there are huge differences in grouping and shielding wire, and they are all optimized for different features/data acquisition cards. I found the mappings of wire for the EPM and RMIO which illustrates this.

• Size of fine thread SCSI SHC68-68-EPM

  Hi all

  Does anyone know what is the size of the thread of the screw of the end of the SHC68-68-EPM cable SCSI-68? I have a lot of connectors PCB SCSI couplings, but Jack positions provided to properly mate with this cable screw.

  This cable has three internal cables, as in the following diagram:

  

  The mutual capacity for cable has 75pF and mutual capacity for cables B and C is 47.6pF. Please let me know if that answers your question.

• Are compatible cable SHC68-68-EP and SHC68-68-EPM cable?

  I use a DAQ card 6062E with a chassis SC-2345.
  For now, to connect with each other, I use a SHC68-68-EP of 2 meter long cable.
   
  Now I need a longer cable, this cable is only 2 metres but I need 5 meters.
   
  My question is: are SHC68-68-EP and compatible SHC68-68-EPM cable (for M-series cards)? (the EPM cable exists in versions 5 m and 10 m)
   
  Tips: 
  1. I downloaded the two support cables wiring diagrams OR. The only difference is: the new cable (EMP) for M-series cards, a PIN which was formerly assigned to GND is now separated into a new pair twisted and assigned to a signal (PFI 15 / P2.7).
  According to this, it seems that 'new' EPM cable can be used on other maps than M-series of retro-compatible way (but of course 'old' EP cables cannot be used on M-series cards because a single signal would be connected to the MASS).
   
   
  2. The SHC68-68-EP cable, I bought 3 weeks ago had a big label "NI SHC68-68-EPM" on his bag when I got it... Maybe OR ships 'new' EMP cables when order us EP cables 'old '?

  Hi Fabrice,.

  It is possible to use the EPM cable with your E Series device. Changes to the MOU to create the EPM have no negative effect when used with the E series devices.

  The main difference between the two cables is the assignment of pins for PFI 15 (as you said). Cable EPM has also been optimized for digital extra lines on M Series devices to minimize noise and crosstalk on the PFI lines.

  Furthermore, it should be located on the server of the Foundation in \EPMSystem11R1\common\epmstatic\wspace\OfflinePlanning\Client

• IE11 of EPM 11.1.2.3

  Our team is currently working with IE9, but we think go to IE11. But we hear that many problems with workspace and view smart. Did oracle came up with a solution to this issue? . If Yes, what are the patches to be applied. It is good to move from IE9 to IE11. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me with this.

  This link is pour.500 and has no details sur.700 where IE11 is supported in standard mode.

  11.1.2.3.700 - "apply this hotfix to use Internet Explorer version 11 in Standard Mode. After you apply this hotfix, you can't use Internet Explorer Mode of business. You must apply the UPE 11.1.2.3.700 for all EPM system products in your deployment.

• EPM 11.1.2.2 in upgrade from Windows 2008R2 Standard and Enterprise of Windows 2008 R2 square

  We have Oracle EPM 11.1.2.2 installed on our servers running in Windows 2008R2 Standard.

  The Windows 2008 R2 Standard in place upgrade to Windows Enterprise 2008 R2 will be affect the current Oracle EPM 11.1.2.2 installation? Is the high risk in a procedure like this?

  It should not cause serious problems, but I don't know the installation and the products that you have, there will always be a risk with any changes to the operating system, if you want to go this route, make sure you have a recovery strategy and if possible test the procedure for a non-production environment first.

  Yes for POC, I used it and to note I installed only HSS, ESSBASE, PLANNING services only mannaged, what it's going to be a little slow but still I manage POC on this machine.

  And I have another machine where I have installed HSS, HFM, FDM, FDMEE.

• EPM 11.1.2.3 Startall Installation issue

  Hi Experts,
  We have faced a strange problem after installation and configure 11.1.2.3 version Hyperion. The question is, we have installed the EPM system in environment distributed as Foundation (all the web) in a server, EN to the server B, HFM in Server C. After the configuration, everything works fine, but when we start system EPM (StartAll) b, C server it starts all services in the B & C servers, but if we manually start the services it is departure and able to access everything. -That someone faced this kind of situation. Please, share your ideas.

  I ran into this issue today.  Any new installation of EMP 11.1.2.4 on new servers (Windows Server 2012).  EPM start (and stop EPM) scripts ran fine yesterday.  Impossible to start/stop today.

  SOLUTION:

  Change the advanced properties of the shortcuts system EPM Start/Stop "Run as Administrator".

  SUSPECTED cause:

  The IT Department has run an update of Windows on computers at night.  I don't know what patches have been charged, but something changed behavior of the machine.  This has happened to both of my servers (Foundation & Essbase) at the same time.  Both had applied for operating system updates.  Both have the same problem the next morning.  Note that the services are running under the same domain account that I used to run start/stop scripts.

  We plan to install EAL for HFM on EMP 11.1.2.4 environment.

  AFAIK, there is no installation of EAL on delivery for EMP 11.1.2.4 files.

  "as per Mead Rittman Consulting" install Essbase Analytics link for HFM 11.1.2.3

  It seems that we can use for HFM 11.1.2.2 for EMP 11.1.2.3 EAL.

  I wonder if we can use the same version of EAL of EPM 11.1.2.4?

• How to disable the users to log in EPM

  Hello

  You are not sure if any of you has done this before, is there a simpler way to disable all users access to EPM (HFM, planning, Essbase, reports, SmartView)?

  I thought stop OHS for Worskpace and service provider for SmartView. Any ideas?

  If you are using groups to provide access to users, I recommend you remove the provisioning of roles of includes itself. If you don't need to worry about remembering which users belong to which groups and you can bring all users live whenever you want by providing roles to users again.

  It depends on your security model for applications.

• New Installation on EPM Exalytics

  Hello everyone.

  I had installed EMP 11.1.2.3 with my Exalytics. I want to install version 11.1.2.4 on exalytics.

  There are two ways I can go, either upgrade the output or make a new installation. What do you guys recommend?

  Oracle says you should be vanila EMP 11.1.2.4 on exalytics installation (they also said you can go with upgradation but to avoid any upgradation problem go for vanila installation).

  The main issue I am facing is when I run the installtool.sh I don't get an optin to upgrade the version. I tried to remove files BASH EPM_HOME entries, but still get the same options of upgratation; I can only think of renaming the previous installation.

  I'll rename the preinstalled EPM 11.1.2.3? It will affect my system? or its settings etc.?

  Is there another way I can install the new version of PMC 11.1.2.4?

  If you want to go down the road of the new facility and just uninstall 11.1.2.3 and then clean and restart with 11.1.2.4

• EPM 11.1.2.4 - IIS on Windows R2 2012 configuration problem

  Hi all

  I'm done installing Hyperion 11.1.2.4 on 2012 R2 in Windows version, while the configuration, I get the error below.

  

  Windows 2012 R2 comes with version 8.5 of IIS. I checked in IIS, there is 'Default Web site' and open the IIS to the Internet Explorer browser without any problem.

  I checked the matrix certification for Hyperion 11.1.2.4, that they have specified only IIS 6 and IIS 7.x for the Web and applications, server and Windows 2012 R2 for the OS but there is no exception "Server EPMA Dimension".

  Note: The configuration of IIS 7.x specify up to Windows 2008 R2.

  No someone came across the question above? Please suggest

  The following products require IIS must be installed with ASP.NET support is enabled before installing the EPM system product:

  • Performance Management architect Service (Server Dimension)
  • Strategic Finance
  • Data relationship management

  Notes on IIS:

  • In the Windows Server Manager, make sure that the following options are selected for the roles for the Web server (IIS):
    • ASP.NET Application developing
    • Compatibility with IIS 6 management under administrative tools (for IIS 7 and IIS 8 only)
  • If .NET is not detected, EPM System Installer installs the version required by your version of Windows.
  • On Windows 2008 and 2012 of Windows, if you configure the products requiring IIS, EPM System Configurator automatically configures the Windows Server roles required for IIS if they are not already installed.
  • If IIS is chosen as the web server during the configuration, you must allow all unknown ISAPI extensions through the Internet Information Services Manager.

  (1) OHS(Oracle HTTP Server) as web layer

  (2) Weblogic Server as an application server

  (3) If you use ODI designed integration

  All web applications java PMC, for example, application of hfm, planning an application etc. on top of it.
