  Try the following.

  First of all, disconnect all external devices.

  Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

  When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

  Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f9 to load the default values (sometimes it is f5, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

  Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  Left click 'Speakers and headphones' (or speakers/HP) once to highlight and then click set as default (if the option is grayed out, it is already set).

  Check if the audio & mic work now.

• Sound problem really very weird

  I have a really weird problem. I need to adjust the sound levels for a clip, so I export the sound to Cubase. The original sound has been left only lane, so I export it in mono to get into 2 channels. In Cubase, I do all the necessary balancing etc., then export it in stereo. (If I play this exported version, it plays in stereo). Then I import into Premiere Pro, but now he plays on the left channel.  Why?

  I'm glad you added this edition because that probably reveals the root of your problem.  I think that there is something you do not correctly in Cubase to export it in stereo.  I have reproduced your problem using a different DAW that allows 1) stereo, 2) Mono Split and 3) Mono exports.  You can also duplicate a stereo file L only at a second way Exchange channel and then select two channels and bounce audio since the two tracks to a stereo file.  With the swap of the second track, you get a stereo file R only, but this bouncing with the stereo file only L will produce a stereo L - R file that matter properly in first CS5.0.  I hope you can understand where the fold is in your export of Cubase.

• Satellite A100 - weird way to start up!

  Have just inherited a Toshiba Satellite A100, which is very well apart from a strange fact. When I received it the battery was flat and so I rebooted it, although it was not brimming with ability it hold a charge for about an hour. However, what I find is that I can't boot the pc, unless the charge lead is inserted in the back, even when the battery is fully charged.

  The lead has not to be connected to the power outlet, just inserted in the back. So I plug the wire into the rear load switch on and bingo that it starts up, I then remove the wire on the back and all is well. I'm sure it's not as it should be, but cannot find a way of simply by pressing the switch so he can start without inserting the wire in the back. Strange huh!

  I am facing a problem with path in my application that relies heavily on server Vi and I really appreciate your help. The situation is the following. I have a VI deamon (for simplicity let's call it deamon.vi). A few things and among others also demand LabVIEW loading classes implement plugins (plugin.lvclass). For this, I have a class Get LV default value VI fueled by the appropriate class path. To build this road, I use the constant path of the Application that is correctly pointing to the directory where the project file. It works very well.

  There is also a pitcher of daemon (deamon - launcher.vi) which is from all the necessary copies of the deamons and keeping an eye on their status. To start the deamons I use the open VI reference using the deamon.vi path built with the Application path that points again to the root folder of the project.

  For reference, it's the project folder structure:

  --> Folder Deamon

  ---> deamon.vi

  --> Plugin folder

  ---> plugin.lvclass

  --> Launcher

  ---> deamon - launcher.vi

  MyProject.lvproj

  Here it's the problem, as soon as the demon will attempt to load the pluging classes, the Application path will show (for reasons not included) in the directory where the deamon.vi and NOT to the root folder of the project, which, in my particular case, are not the same.
