  Apple only can answer such a question, and the terms of use for these forums discourage us discuss what Apple plans to do.

  I too have a MBP 2010.  I installed an SSD and that increased performance.  Consider that as an option.

  You may experience other problems that slows down your MBP.  Before commit you the important cash for a new MBP, examine the potential software problems that may be responsible for the poor performance.  With the SSD, my 2010 works better than the day he came out of the box.

Recently, it has become slow, especially when I click on 'my computer' and my c drive, it takes forever to open the window, especially when I try and do a right click on these icons.   I have a time Capsule airport of 5th generation 2 TB (802.11 AC) and a modem TP - LINK TD - 8816 ADSL2 (bridged) connected to the TC. In recent weeks, a very slow internet connection has been detected (get the go-ahead in TC and airport utility)

  I'm in the same boat... There is something seriously wrong with the TC in PPPOE mode. And nothing you can do that on it. Apple has all the controls available in the outside world.

  I got around it by using a modem router or other router between modem bridged and TC.

  In the end I put the TC in static IP mode, and it worked very well with another router.

  Windows XP has become slow or not responding more frequently because I downloaded from the Garmin site. I deleted the download of Garmin, but there was another program that downloaded (something net?) at the same time that Garmin cannot name so I could remove.   When I try to connect my laptop to this new router via wifi or ethernet, my internet speed is less than 5 Mbps.

  Shared folder from my laptop to the network is very good and the speed is good too.

  iOS and Android devices to the new road via wifi gets 30Mbps full internet speed.

  When I connect the laptop to the old router (not), my laptop is able to get internet 30Mbps speed.

  There could be various factors at the origin of the problem as a firewall router, firmware obsolete, obsolete network drivers, bandwidth, etc.

  If the problem persists, then try to update the firmware on the router in router configuration page. Given that the laptop works very well on old router, maybe the new router requires compatible firmware to allow an intense sound signal from the router again.

  I have Windows 7 Home installed in my HP laptop. Web brosing speed is too slow on the PC. I have a fiber optic internet connection which has max of 16 Mbps download speed. The internet speed is good and reaches sometimes up to 10 Mbit/s, while it barely reaches 2 Mbit/s in normal mode. Most of the programs I uninstalled, run the registry cleaner by Norton, Scanner Malware bytes, regularly updated Norton antivirus definitions. I also installed only a few program - MS Office 2010, Norton Antivirus, Real Networks, itunes and HP provided software preinstalled with the laptop. Internet activity is limited to a few Bank sites and youtube. Like all the anti virus scan, spyware scans were not able to detect any virus or spyware, I'm at a loss to find any reason for the slow internet speeds. The speed of the internet is amazing when I use my tab Thosibha or on my smart phone Sony. Any ideas please.
