• HP G62 fan not working not not :/

  Hi, I have a hp laptop g62-454TU that has worked very hot lately. Recently when I was using my laptop on a desk the screen went black. I assumed it was overheated just as usual except when I rebooted it, there was no fan noise and there was a message saying that the cooling fan is not working and ask if I wanted to continue. I pressed on enter and it boots into windows. 10 minutes after if overheated and shut down again. When I rebooted, it came with the same fan not work message so I let it close. I can't use it. I will buy a dm4 soon but I would like to know what the problem is and if I can do anything. I don't know much about computers. At the moment I am using a Samsung 7 years so I need a solution. Should I buy a new computer? My HP is 2 years old and frequently overheated before. Thanks for your time.

  Replacing the fan may be the answer with a good cleaning & radiator Setup review.

  You may be able to get a light use out of it in it now raised about 25 mm & having a table fan boy blowing through it to help remove some heat & cool just run.

  Unfortunately high that running time & bad thermal design & components is a standard feature of HP, a leading cause of poor life of laptops & of common failures such as hdd death in 18 months or less.

  my battery was showing that it should be replaced. I diddnt get piles of origin so could not replace. before moving in this replace screen battery would come. but the system used to start but now it shows fan is not running and system does not get. what I would do... ?

  Somehow, that the battery is not good.  You will need to get a different battery or you have a failure in the internal circuit of notebooks for the battery.

  Well, after a few hours, that I've upgraded to the new version my mac started having several issues.
  All first of all Fans. Without any reason after 1 or 2 hours after the upgrade (I was just looking the open web to 2 pages in safari, especially facebook and youtube)
  Fans have started to run really crazy and loud for 3 to 4 minutes... so strong that I thought that the computer was a blast and I closed all applications and waited for slow racing fans. The aluminium of the mac was not warm to the touch... Room temperature.
  This problem happened only the first day, I upgraded. But to be honest I sometimes feel the fans that sometimes short fast and loud without no reason.

  Last but not the least... GEL! Strangely also this problem showed the same day I upgraded my macbook pro to the 11.10.4 version and this happened to me about 5 times now! and it becomes a nightmare!
  When you use the mac computer just freeze the screen (mouse is stuck without the wheel is completely freeze) and after 4/5 seconds the screen is blocked as the work stoppage trackpad haptic vibration. I tried to let the mac like that for about 10 minutes, but nothing... only a hard reset can fix this...

  The last time that happened about an hour ago, and that's why I'm here...

  In my opinion, Alienware laptop computers are skewed when it comes to their fan profiles. It's just like that, I'm afraid, but there is a way around.   54sec at 01:17 minutes this video shows the CPU fan and the orientation of the blade. In regards to the rear case fan, fan shroud has an arrow showing the flow. The fan is a fan, so he blows on the back.

  I agree with you on L300. Of my friends has this model laptop and we changed the method to the minimum level of cooling and cooling fan runs quiet and not so often. Unfortunately, more than that can be done.

  Akuma is also right. Each laptop model has clean and different cooling system and to compare it with other models is not so relevant.
  I recommend you to use the power plan balanced with the minimum level of cooling method. That's all I can say about it.

  If the fan on my HP dv6z-6100 died recently, and I plan to replace it myself.  I'm a bit confused as to who fan should I buy.  From what I can tell, I need the part designated fan 650848-001
