  After analysie the memory dump, I found that the drivers above are originally the blue battery error message enable the hyper-v feature in my laptop Business 64-bit Win10.

  I download the "automatically detect and install your driver" in the link below http://support.amd.com/en-us/download who helped to get the latest drivers depending on the hardware, which is installed in my laptop.

  I have problem with my screen in Elitebook 745 (HD resolution +). It's strange pixels flickering on white background. I recorded a short video to introduce this issue: http://youtu.be/yRk643s59Eo

  It is only visible from certain angle. I have never seen this before on other laptops (even on the older). I tried to change the resolution and refresh rate, but it does not help. I checked the different systems (win 10 and Ubuntu).

  Would be - this technical problem or maybe a kind of "function of the screen? My eyes really hurt from that.

  I've updated the BIOS with the latest version (1.10) and fortunately flashing screen no longer exists.

  So this was a firmware issue, not hardware.

  I would like to know if the WWAN slot (I think it's a PCIE port) in the elitebook 745 g2 (see image) could be used to insert an ssd m2 as extra storage. The only information I have is this forum (http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/elitebook-700-series-elitebook-725-g2-elitebook-745-g2-and-e... where it says that this operation would be that the system recognizes not the module.) Can someone confirm that your experience?

  It's a shame I can't use this location for that purpose. Is there a way around the problem?

  Sorry, but you are operating under a misconception as laptops don't use cards "video" in the same sense as desktop computers.

  Some use video modules, others have video integrated with the CPU - but in both cases, these aren't replaceable parts by the customer.

  If you want a more powerful video, you must order a template already embedded.

• EliteBook 745 G2: Troubleshooting the AMD video driver

  Hi all!

  I have reported problems difficult to solve by myself, I found. I have a hp elitebook 745 G2 for my personal use. I've updated to windows 10 a week ago, but since I met many BSOD and PC freezes, so I did a clean Windows 10 operating system installation, using the built-in function to recovery my apps to keep my data intact and unistalling all installed system. After that, I discovered that windows has install AMD video drivers automatically. On windows, 8.1 I always used to run amd autodetect utility to update my video drivers and I have never ecountered the real problems. But with 10 windows, it seems that two compatible generic video drivers windows-10 and video drivers custom microsoft servers work properly, as I've always frozen and BSODed my PC after istalling them.

  Another detail: it seemed to me that the biggest problem comes from a streaming video, as my PC has always blocked himself after a few seconds of video streaming on you tube. Surely, this happened with the generic video drivers from AMD (I clean istalled not not using auto-detection utility).

  However, I was able to run my computer after installing video drivers for HP (and after the last clean istall of windows 10, I had to repeat several times to clarify this problem...). I noticed that Hp AMD video drivers are customized so that some functions do not work, such as stable video technology and fast flow techology. It is interesting when I tried to install fast flow Soft technology separately and to execute a video streaming on you tube, my PC freezes again. That won't happen if I broadcast without this app on my PC.

  So, I wouldn't change a thing, because I don't want to go into other incidents and other time, but let me ask you a few questions: why the generic video drivers does not work correctly if they worked then in windows 8.1? What I expect in the future of AMD video drivers or I can istall new generic?

  Ok. I solved by myself. The problem was really fast stream technology app that isn't compatible with windows 10. You can install either the video driver generic AMD or hp. The key is to NOT let the catalyst Installer to install this application on your computer.

  The latest BIOS for the HP EliteBook 745/755/725 G3 made reference to a 'restoration tool electronic Label' to remove a MESSAGE error after flashing the BIOS to 1.08.

  This tool can be found on the support Web site.

  If flashing the BIOS is causing this problem for systems shipped with a version of BIOS before 1.05 why is the tool not available to correct the problem?

  Better question is why was - this BIOS update published at all if it can cause a system to stop for 15 seconds during POST if you do not have the correction tool POST message as described in the release notes and the POST message?

  Version 1.01 of the electronic Label restore tool has fixed my problem.

  So, I'm a consultant in travel and I have the EliteBook 745 Gen2, and my battery is never long enough. I saw colleagues who have portable 840 have laptop HP CO06XL battery

• 9470M: How to escalate an issue Elitebook 9470 M was at the service of 5 times

  Someone at - it advice on obtaining this support of last year this laptop has been serving 5 times.

  This last time it took me a week to get a box to ship in return.  Total since I opened the ticket back has been 2 weeks and then he comes back not working!

  The battery light flashes orange/white and does not illuminate.

  I think this is the 3rd time they replaced the motherboard.

  I have taken battery and pressed the Start button / stop for 30 seconds (as it has resolved in the past but no go this time)

  I have a HP elitebook 8540w laptop with Windows 7. It is advisable to upgrade to windows 10?

  @Mrstenter, I don't think you understand the topic at hand.

  HP Support Assistant won't see 10 Windows is a viable OS for this laptop, so, it will not find something for her.

  While most of the components have in fact several updates, available from the OEM component, HP has been terrible to sustain this business 'quality' "Élite" mobile Workstation.

  The Support Site for the 8540w was a mess, and terribly inconsistent, almost all the time it was available, it's a big reason that when it was time for an update of the platform, I went for a Dell M4800 instead of the EliteBook/ZenBook/s comparible.

  Now, @Bredzy , insofar as Windows 10 is concerned; I leave the upgrade happens to mine:

  I tried 8 and 8.1 on it and went back to 7 times.

  10 has been good so far.

  All the drivers I have in place before the upgrade were still in place after the upgrade, which was nice, and same OneDrive is synchronization, despite the fact that I am not connect with my hotmail account.

  If you do not rely on the card mobile broadband, you'll be probably a bit stuck here.

  I have not tried the once again fingerprint reader, again, because even in 7, the weird mix of validity and ProtectTools jived never really for me, besides, PT integrated only with IE, which I almost never use, so it was pretty useless once the laptop is unlocked at the start.

  New EliteBook 840 G3 with discrete graphics and 2013 UltraSlim Dock using windows 10.

  I use 2 HP Z23n screen, there are connected with DisplayPort on Dock UltraSlim 2013 2.

  I have 1 questions with this

  (1) my 2 external displays connected to the 2 DisplayPort, started flashing then goes blank and returned once again without flickering. Very annoying. Seems that the graphics card a little reset on screen or the other from time to time. Tried to look at the logs without a bit of luck.

• EliteBook 8570p: replace the portable DVD player computer - HP DT80N

  Hi all, I recently bought a used Elitebook 8570p - big machine. To my surprise, when I went to burn it to a CD, I discovered the installed DVD ROM is a reader, not a writer. I didn't even know that those who exist more... Model is HP DVD ROM DT80N.

  I've never replaced a DVD player, but I feel comfortable doing the swap. However, I can't determine what player will agree and match the look of the laptop.
