  I did a post a few days ago and received some tips very precise and full of hope.

  So where have I wrong...

  I ordered the screen (number 690405-001) from there , but it does not work...?

  First boot of the system (BIOS) screen appears whitened with lime and pixelated - the original screen works very well of course (this is the original image of poor quality below, the new screen was almost unreadable).

  To compound my confusion ofI also tried this HD screen + (that I had to order at the time of posting the thread above) - and the results are the same... whitewashed appearance and very similar to the Panel, FHD pixelation.

  Y at - it something more, that I have to do (how to replace the video cable? (current part number: 35040AB00-GY0-G 690403 - 001)...?  I hate to ask, but... are we SURE this model A1L15AV with an Intel HD 4000 GT2 will support FHD?

  The original HD display is the "LG Display" brand and is part LP156WH4 (TL) (R1) number if that helps... ?

  I am very happy to say that I'm now running a beautiful full HD, glossy Panel at 1920 x 1080.  The cable worked!

  I bought for £14 on eBay and the editing was a bit tedious (30 minutes) to unscrew a screw bllion and put it back together but it's worth the effort.

  We can ask the question... Why HP would cripple a cell lower spec upgrade screen easily in order to a bad cable? It is not as if the cost of the cable could be important! In fact, it would be easier for HP to just a cable manufacturing...

  Anyway - I hope this helps someone.  Thanks again for the tips of greta from the previous post mentioned above.

  I can't say for sure, but if two laptop computers supports the same screen size then you have a good chance to get the screen M40 working with L30 Series notebook.
  But if you want to be 100% sure, then I'd take a screen which has been published for the L30 series.
