Email of Smartphones blackBerry post software update problems

Morning

I'm having problems to make my mails to work as a result of the last update of software 6.0 Bundle 2949 - my passwords, which I enter correctly request the implementation of e-mail and all I get is sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again.

I tried a hard reboot and still no joy.

Thanks in advance for your help

OK... so I suggest that the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

(1) registry HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

(2) remove and return Service directories

  • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

(3) restart to take batt

  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your provider of wireless services for formal support.

Good luck!

  • Email of Smartphones blackBerry after software update issues

First of all, I want to express my displeasure of RIM or AT & T to not notify me that all my settings, emails and messages text would be handed over to zero/erased with the software update.  I am more than now, but I still have an annoying problem.  I created my email account, once again, but I seem to be getting twice my messages.  Once in the folder of my personal e-mail address, and then also in the folder marked as messages.  The messages folder is where my text messages are placed.  Before the update, the files were exclusive to their own types of messages.  Y at - it a setting that I missed or what I can do so that I only have my back emails in a folder?  Thank you very much for your help in advance.

It is the only way to work around the problem.

  • Smartphones blackBerry for software update option is not available

I bought a blackberry bold 9900 last year.  I want to update the software. When I go to options---> device I don't see an option like 'software update' which is there in other models. I want to know is - not just in my handsets or other "BOLD" 9900 s as well.

I get what you're saying here. But what exactly my problem is that I don't have the option that checks for updates. In other models when you choose
Menu--> options--> device there is a link/option that reads "software updates". I have that in my device. I think that it is incorporated and has nothing to with the carrier. Can you help me with this, please?

  • Smartphones blackBerry device software upgrade problem

    Hi all

I have a Blackberry 8310. He was originally AT & T service, but he now has the T-Mobile. It is unlocked and currently leads the software 4.2.2.170.

I'm moving to 4.5. I downloaded the software from T-mobile, here for the 8320. They have no 8310 software, and told me that it shouldn't make a difference:

    http://www.t-mobile.com/bbupgrade/

    I followed the instructions here:

    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/How_do_I_upgrade_the_OS_on_my_BlackBerry%3F

    (I tried method 1 and method 2)

However, it will not install little matter what I do. I even tried using CrackMem.

Get to step 6 of method 2 for example, I'm never invited to install the upgrade. When I look into the application loader on BB Desktop under applications to update or install new applications, the software update is never there.

No idea why the upgrade won't install? Is it because the phone's ex - AT & T?

One last thing - it was originally hooked up to BES and so had a top COMPUTER policy. I wiped by using method 2 here:

    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/Remove_IT_Policy

    Any help would be appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

One that you said that the software and the model doesn't matter, said you bad.

Well, software loading 8320 in to a 8310 photo an accident of room StarTrek carrier... same results.

Go to the AT & T software download site and get the right device OS for the 8310.

When you go to install it, you need to remove the provider. XML file. This step is listed in your procedure

I have the number of site and the version to download for you at the bottom of the post.

When you start the download of software peripheral BONES of AT & T, save the file to disk, do not run.

When the download is complete, then go to the directory on the PC you have loaded to and run the

self-extracting file. The software will be installed in the directories in the files of the Office Manager

If the application loader will find it.

Follow each step exactly as written now from the first step of the procedure of FAQ.

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Desktop Software installation problem

I had a problem with Roxio Media Manager constantly want to reinstall.  So I corrected this problem and and uninstalled the Blackberry software. Then I tried to re - install Blackberry Desktop software so that I can sync my contacts on my computer at home.  I tried this from a downloaded version 4.6 and with the version on my Blackberry CD.  Same problem with both.

The installation starts and claims of language, then installation starts for a few seconds.  Then I get this message:

Error opening installation log file.  Verify that the specified log file location exists and is writable.

I can't get past this message.  He didn't tell where is the location of the log file.  Other installations of software, it's only the Blackberry software that will not be installed.  I tried to rename CProgram Files\Common InstallShield and make it read/write, but this install always fails with the same message.

Any ideas to try?  Nowhere else can I ask for help?

    Andy

    Thanks, that worked.

I unzipped the file, then I opened a cmd window and manually run msiexec with your Blackberry msi file.  I have added a flag/l to set the log file to a local file FichierJournal.txt and everything went well.

Maybe you specify a problematic log file name, at least for my computer?

Anyway, this new version of the Blackberry software works very well to keep my home contacts updated with my work contacts.  I'm glad that I was able to install without the Roxio media manager.  This program made me mad.

  • Question of Smartphones blackBerry after software update

    Phone model: Curve 8530

So, after weeks and weeks of terrible trouble with my phone spontaneously reset I finally upgrade my phone software.

However, when he returned finally to the top and I had backed up my contacts and protect the texts of blackberry, I realized that I had to add my e-mails via email, set up. When I tried to connect with my information for blackberry app world / protect, he said

"User namewhite." Type a valid user name. »

I had used my blackberry ID / e-mail that was associated with my phone for two years and who came. When I put in place in shelb896 (which is the username associated with my blackberry ID..) and password and he said it was a combination not valid.

    .

My question is this: why is it say that? Any tips?

    Hi all!

So I solved the problem, hurrah!

Here are the steps I took:

    1. I tried to open a session my Blackberry Internet service account, it says my name of user and password is incorrect.

    2. I tried to send the password to my phone, but because the e-mails did not come through I obviously couldn't do this.

    3. I called the technical support - the man told me that in this case, it is quite necessary that you must call in order to reset the pin code, it gave me my log in information and reset my emails. I was told to take out the battery while what was going on and then about 5 minutes later I put it in still on the phone, as everything reset.

After a few minutes that I had put all my emails and my text messages, which had been in the queue have also crossed Hooray!

Basically, if you have a problem of this kind give your service provider a call. I couldn't be happier with the service I received from them today!

  • Activation of Smartphone blackBerry after software update

I use a BB 9700 "BOLD". When I try to update the BB to BB Desktop Manager software, I am presented with a notice saying that after the update has been performed, that I need to activate my wireless handset to continue to receive e-mails, etc.

I'm not using the Enterprise version.

Does anyone know what it means this activation? I am likely to face problems because of a few details that are required (and that I might not know immediately)?

    Thank you

    Wolf

Wolf, if you don't use BES, the company, the warning does not apply. Ignore it and continue.

  • Smartphones blackBerry desktop software installation problems

    Hi all!

Just got my first BB - the Curve 8330.

I am trying to install the Desktop Manager software (version 4.5) from the CD included with the phone (Sprint).  I tried twice with no success and the same result - it hangs or freezes towards the end of the installation.  It is said it should "take several minutes", but an hour?  I didn't know that it would take too long.

I would try to cancel the installation, but nothing would happen and I would end up having to force its closure with the Manager tasks.  The icons would display, but the program itself would not do much.  Due to the partial installation, I couldn't uninstall it or restart the installation.  You had to do system restore to get rid of it.

I did it twice!  So now, I am currently downloading version 5.0 from this site (without Media Manager which seems to cause a problem) and see how it goes.

Has anyone else has this problem?  Should I have waited longer?

After much frustration, I tried one more thing.  After having been suspended for three hours, I restarted my computer (using the power button on the machine, because no matter what other way would not have worked).  I rebooted with the progress of installation still bar top and "running".

Then I ran the software disc and tried to install again.  He acknowledged that I had partially installed the DM software and he gave me the ability to edit, repair and another thing (don't remember).  I chose to fix it.  This completed the installation process!

When I made this installation, I did it without the Media Manager.  After the "repair", I could go back install Manager media without any problem.

What a relief to be able to back up my BB!

  • Smartphones blackBerry 8310 Software Update interrupted

So I was updating to 4.5 today after I got this message from the red color of the RIM, given how long it took on step 10/11 and since then it has been just start it (which means that all critical update was full) I decided to unplug it for reasons of time.  What I forgot was that all my personal information was never restored.  The installation program spoke and said that I could restore it somehow, but after an hour of waiting for him to start, I don't know where to go for the saved data.

Long story short, I need my directory back and shouldn't be disconnected at the end of the update without her finish and I'm stupid for it.

Thanks in advance for any help

No, should not have disconnected the USB, I don't fight for that.

Search your hard drive c:\ everything for all the "*.ipd" files... file backup charger will be the final extension of "pi".

I hope that you will find that will be day today.

You have all backups of your device?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Software update problem with new tour

I got my wife a tour yesterday. When I connected it to my laptop to add music, it says that there is a software update (OS 4.7 and other files). So I updated the device (took about 45 minutes or more). Then I clickd'autant Media Manager to see, I had not installed it yet (I use Media Sync with my Storm). So I installed Media Manager and said to reboot my PC. So I restart and reload the desktop software and low, and here I thought I should do the exact same device update that I had done a few hours ago!

The unit works fine as far as I can tell. Would it be a bug in the desktop software? A glitch in the OS device? Or should I re - update the tour just to be sure (where he actually has not worked right the first time)?

If you need more info, let me know what you need.

OK, well... Sorry, the operating system is not updated. The Tour launched with OS.40 and, last week, Verizon started pushing notificiatons for update of Os.53, so what is updated to the device, the operating system was NOT.

so... my recommendation - do a full backup in the first place with the Director of office and then allow the upgrade of operating system continue.
