Embeded Web Server is not responding

I wanted to use the scan to a network using this HowTo folder: http://h20628.www2.hp.com/km-ext/content-webapp/document?docId=emr_na-c03518544&dtd=default&locale=d... (German, but I suppose a similar site is available in English).

However, it seems that my HP LaserJet Pro 300 MFP M375nw color's built-in Web server no longer works. I know that it worked some time ago, but now when I enter the printer's IP in the browser the IP address is just extended by 10.0.0.8 to https://10.0.0.8/hp/device/ and what's. An error message is displayed that the site cannot be loaded. I can ping the printer on this IP address and can also print from different sources. In the HowTo is also a second method described by using a wizard program, but only after some then returned to a pop-up window with an error message that the communication with the printer is not working.

I tired to restart the printer with no improvement and I could not find information how to fix this.

I would be happy if anyone could give me any suggestions how to solve this problem.

Thank you

Hello xlr8. Using this method to see if you can configure the scan to network folder without going through the integrated Web server:

http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay/?sp4ts.oid=0&spf_p.tpst=kbDocDisplay&spf_p.prp_kbDocDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c03233046-2%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken

If this isn't an option, try the following steps to access the built-in Web server:

-Power cycle all devices, including the wireless router and try printing (this means turn off the printer, computer, device, router and modem, then turning them back on in reverse order.) Make sure the router and the modem are at least a minute before you turn on anything else).

-On the printer, restore the default settings of the network, then re - connect the printer to the wireless network. Check if the IP address will open the built-in Web server later. If you need help, restore the default values, and the printer connected to a wireless network, refer to the manual of your printer for details.

Please answer as soon as possible. I'm only here to help!

    Hello!

I perform a clean installation on the machine of my old mother. In fact, service of the only operation I can install is Windows XP Pro. I downloaded the sp1aexpress_usa.exe file to automatically perform the update.

After a few checks performed by the program, he prepared to download the Service Pack 1 files. A few seconds/minutes later, the following error message appears: "the server has not responded.

  • I am fully connected to the Internet, but my DNS server is not responding. How can I connect otherwise?

I am fully connected to the Internet, but when I click on my home page and even several other pages, including Windows Live Mail, I get an error message that my DNS server is not responding. How can I work around this problem and to connect to the Internet anyway?

You want to be sure that you use the right setting for your DNS server.  You can move this in your browser using the digital URL for the what you want to access web sites.  You will find them by using the PING command at the command prompt.  Hold the Windows key and press R.  Then type CMD and press ENTER.  Then enter for example to get the address of the web site of MS PING WWW.MICROSOFT.COM.

Unless otherwise directed by your Internet service provider, you want TCP/IP settings to "obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically".  To do this click Start-> Control Panel-> Network Center and sharing-> view status.

    Then click on properties.

From there, click on Internet Version 6 Protocol and properties.

Click on the two radio buttons to "obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically".  Click OK.

Then click Internet Version 4 Protocol and make the same changes in what concerns the version 6.

I hope this helps.  Good luck.

    Good luck.

  • While trying to install SP1a for Windows XP, the error is the following: server has not responded (Windows XP SP1a).

    Hello

Recently, I reformatted and reinstalled windows XP on my old laptop. Looking to obtain service packs for it, I read that you need to start with SP1a... I did some research autour and many people are having the same problem, but nobody responded to the real problem. According to Microsoft, I install SP1a to install any other. The error is as follows: the server did not respond. If the server has been taken down or refuses connections. My internet connection remained active all attempts to access the server.
Unless the information is wrong on the website, installation of SP3 won't fix it. All responses I've seen to this problem have been installing something you can't until you install first.
Here is the link, in that it tries to connect:
    Connection to
    http://xpSP1.Microsoft.com/ISAPI/pstream3.dll/XP/SP1.USA.1106a.
    Here's the exact error:
"The following error occurred during the installation of the Service Pack 1a attempted to download the files from the Service Pack 1 from the internet:
The server did not respond. »
    Thank you.

You should be able to download the Service Packs as a standalone installer at the following addresses:

    SP1a: <> http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=19751 >
    SP2 <> http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=28 >
    SP3 <> http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=24 >

If you can not download to your computer, then use another machine to download the installation file and move it to your computer.

You don't need to install SP1A.  XP Gold, you must install SP1A or SP2 before installing SP3.  I recommend that you start with SP2 and then SP3.

Were you recently doing a Clean Install? I ask because you are implying in your installation of Windows XP is in 'gold' or SP0 (i.e., pre - SP1) level. Well sure, automatic updates will not work!
You can use this path to level – says in passing:
Gold XP to XP SP2 to XP SP3.
Note that installing SP1a is TOTALLY USELESS!
    Here are the detailed instructions:

    1. download the installation of SP2, SP3 and IE8 files. I prefer to keep these on a USB key, but this is optional. Here are the links to all the installation of three files:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=28 (for SP2)

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=24 (for SP3)

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=43 (for IE8)

And if you wish, download the Setup file of a good anti-virus program. I recommend Avira free Antivirus:

    http://www.Avira.com/en/Avira-free-antivirus

    2. disconnect Internet.

    3. temporarily disable the automatic updates.

    4. install SP2. Reset.

    5 install the SP3. Reset.

6 switch to IE8. Restart TWICE.

    7 install an Antivirus software.

(What happens very often is that someone has their software antivirus running as they try to install SP3, which often translates into chaos! "This is why it must be done after installing SP3 and IE).

8 make sure that firewall Windows is activated (it should be).

(Now you can physically reconnect to the Internet.)

9 visit Windows Update to download and install only the critical security updates.

10 re - enable automatic updates.

After the back if you need guidance.

  • Server did not respond error when you try to install Service Pack 1 for Windows XP.

I had to do a restore system with xp home edition. Trying to update from sp1 which has been downloaded to the thumb drive and sent to my office at the top of the page. starts to load, and then tells me that the server did not respond. I am connected

You do not start with a service pack earlier and go to the top. You only download the latest service pack. The latest service pack for Windows XP Home Edition is Service Pack 3.

Go to Windows Update and see if you can find it there.

If this isn't the case, then you can manually download it here:

It is a CD image file that requires you to burn to a CD or use a virtual CD/DVD software like Virtual CloneDrive. This allows you to open the ISO file as if it was a real CD inserted into your DVD drive. All you have to do is double-click the ISO file, once you have installed this program. Run the configuration file.

Tell me why when shut down my PC , I got a "DDE SERVER WINDOW NOT RESPONDING... END message NOW? ' I've never had before, and the only way I could stop my PC was to finish the task.
I am running Windows XP SP3

I uninstalled a program called iLike Sidebar & it seems that the DDE server window does not come up during a re-start and or close. I think it was the cause of it occurring first, because now that I remember I never had it happen before you install the Sidebar iLke. I think it was the cause of the problem, and am keeping an eye on, just in case it happens again. I hope I'm right about my prognosis.

  • The DNS server is not responding.

Just bought this WRT160N a few days ago, I implemented and no problems now, randomly, I can't the internet to work, every once in awhile, he will work for a few minutes, then it will return new.  When I troubleshoot Windows, I have "the DNS server is not responding" * detected * this computer is located on a wired connection to my router, and is currently the only computer connected to my router.  The connection works fine when I run the cable directly from my modem to the computer (which im doing now) any help would be greatly appreciated!

To upgrade the firmware of your router, you don't need to be connected to Internet... Just connect the Modem to the computer and download the firmware on your router... Once you have downloaded the firmware on your router... Connect the Modem to the router on the Internet Port and connect the computer to the router Linksys on Port n ° 1... Follow the instructions I mentioned in my previous post, how to upgrade the firmware on your router... Once the firmware is upgraded successfully... Press and hold the button of reset for 30 seconds... Release the reset button... Unplug the power cable from your router, wait 30 seconds and reconnect the power cable... Now re - configure your router...
