Enable SNMP to send blocked due to the loop network interface

Dear community,

We had a customer who has created a loop on his layer access and STP blocked some interfaces in order to protect the network.

Normal behaviour until now, but we would like to receive the device, when these events occur, usually when an interface is set to err - disable or close (I guess it's more err - disable).

We noticed that somehow the concerned interface was sometimes stay down without checking back and maybe change her status.

I tried a few commands such as:

Server enable SNMP traps stpx root-incompatibility incompatibility loop-inconsistent

Enable SNMP-Server intercepts the port security (this is probably more for quantity of excess on the interface MAC)

I also found a nice MIB called Cisco-Err-disable

But I have the feeling that I missed something on the side of the device,

Any help in setting this up would be greatly appreciated,

Thank you

STP will not put the port in err-disable mode.   The mib, CISCO-ERR-DISABLE report when the port is placed in a State of err - disable one of these events published in the MIB:

    I can't print due to the "wireless network connection" doesn't have a valid IP address.  How can I fix this problem myself (an absolute non-techie)?

    Hello

    -Did you change your computer, after which the question began?
    -Check if you are connected to the network?

    The question seems more like a network connection problem. I would like you to do the following.

    Method 1: run the Network Troubleshooter utility and see if the problem persists.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

    Method 2: release and renew the IP (Internet Protocol) address and see if the problem persists.

    has. click Start. Type cmd in the search box and press ENTER.
    b. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
    ipconfig/all (there is a space between ipconfig and /)
    The command ipconfig/all command displays for all your network adapters, TCP/IP in Windows settings.

    If your IP address of your Local network connection is 0.0.0.0 or 169.x.x.x (where x is a number any), then your computer is not getting an IP address from the router.
    If this is the case, try this:
    ·        enough ipconfig at the command prompt and press ENTER
    ·        ipconfig / renew in the command prompt and press ENTER

    Method 3:

    Network printer problems

    Note: The steps also apply to Windows 7.

  • Photoshop distorted due to the gpu error interface

    last week I received an error message but thought it wasn't something important and would recover after a reboot. But today, when I launched PS, instantly noticed that the INTERFACE looked quite awkward. It's very annoying and absolutely unrealistic to use.

    I remember the error was on a problem with the gpu - GPU acceleration, I guess. all other adobe software is works very well. Here are a few screenshots;

    Maybe someone can help me to make Cisco to allow ports outside LAN using a NAT?

    I did this on Mikrotik easily = |

    It is due to the fact that they do not allow "hair pinning" by default, once this is configured, it will work.

  • How to configure the private network interface between two VMS os invited using red hat linux

    Hello:

    I'm trying to set up a Real Application Cluster on my home office so that I can install Oracle 11 g RAC which is a facility where you have two servers accessing the same shared of storage (chipboard).

    In addition they will have a network interface private and a public network interface, so it will be for public interface eth0 and eth1 for interconnection of private networks.

    I read that I can set up using VMWare server, create Virtual Machines and install the operating system invited to them.

    I intend to install Red Hat Linux guest OS.

    My question is basically, how can I do for the establishment of the private network eth1, will be the guest OS to automatically install the sense (do I need to have 2 NIC cards for this), or where and how can this be configured?

    Also, how these two speeches of Virtual Machines to another on the private interconnect?

    And is it possible to use DHCP or do I need to add the IP addresses manually?

    Very grateful for your contribution to this topic, thank you.

    Kind regards

    Sam

    You can have network private without assigning a NIC cards (adapt).

    Hope this helps

  • My Lotus iNotes will no longer send emails due to the update of windows

    My Lotus iNotes is no longer send emails, however still receives. I keep getting error messages. It's already happened and my work, IT supports the Office told me that it was due to a Windows security update, but my computer has recently updated its self, does anyone know what update would it?

    Hello

    1. What is the full/exact error message?

    2 were there any hardware or software changes made on the computer before this problem?

    3 is specific to the program the issue?

    Initially check updates have recently been installed on the computer.

    See the Windows updates are installed

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/see-which-Windows-updates-are-installed

    Follow the steps and check if that helps.

    Method 1: To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    Note: follow step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

    Method 2: The problem can also be caused by your security such as anti-virus program that can have conflicting parameters as to not not to perform certain tasks. I suggest you temporary disable the anti-virus and check the result again. You must activate new security that you was disabled programs.
    Disable the antivirus software:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

    Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you should reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 3: System Restore -it takes the computer to the point when the problem did not exist. See if you can find a restore point right where the problem had not demonstrated upward.
    Reference http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084

    What is system restore?
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-is-system-restore

    After restoring the computer to a previous point, you need to install the update, one at a time to verify the update is the cause of the problem.

    Let us know the status of the issue.

    The CME version is 9.1

    Version of the IOS is 15.3 (1) T (also tested in 15.2 - the same issue)

    All ip phones have the last firware (9-2-2-0), also I have already spent some of them (9-2-1-0) - the problem persists.

    Hello

    I think the best is to capture a trace of sniffer on the phone directly, we will be able to see if the phone itself sends the numbers.

    You can also enable some debugs:

    Deb voice ccapi inout

    messages ccsip deb

    Media ccsip deb

    That should be enough to isolate the problem

  • DSL connection to the integrated NETWORK interface

    I have a brand new Dell Poweredge T310 with two NICs in it. I can't understand how to connect my DSL modem to my main vm. My main vm is CentOS5 and I do not see mto managed to raise dsl connection by plugging in port 1. Port 0 is my main ethernet port connected to my switch 24 ports.

    Am I missing something simple to the initial installation to make it work? I chose two nic in my CentOS installation, but I wonder if they are just a virtual connection of my physical port 0.

    I can't find an answer by searching.

    I want the CentOS vm to bring DSL connection up to amd mark it as ppp0.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    As shown in the screen, the network is ready, just install your operating system and for sure, connect your DSL for vmNIC1.

    Its better to config of your storage space (if available), network and your host, then continue to your guests.

    May I ask the purpose of this CentOS? It would be something like Firewall/cache or not only a virtual machine with access to the Internet?

    If you want that this VM to communicate with the internet and NOT with your network, just connect to vSwitch1 and he do not connect vSwitch0.

    If she would share internet access to other computers, networks and virtual or you want to connect from your network (via vmNIC0), then you must connect it to two vSwitch.

  • Cannot send e-mail to the server... get alerts of demand... except on a local wireless connection

    This had led me batty since I got the phone.  My mail server is on my local network.  If I send an email from the local network without wire of the pre to my mail server quite well.  If I try to send an email via the network of sprint - or actually on the network wireless anyone, he's going through.  I can sit here a my firewall monitor and the see through and I can also see it connect to my email server, so I know not that there is a good connection there.  I don't have any problems with imap works in any situation with the pre, so I'm sure something happens.

    My firewall rules are the same for IMAP/IMAP-SSL/ESMTP/ESMTP-SSL (with just the ports change.)  I am able to send an email from my client of the laptop to my mail... Server and able to send an email from my Treo 755 p using snappermail on the network of sprint very well.

    The firewall is PFSense 1.2

    Mail server is Courier 0.62.1 running on Centos 4.7 (no firewall running ip)

    Really confused!

    Thank you

    Done this, and it still doesn't get me anywhere.

    But I end up finally solve the problem...

    It seems that my server ident checks had to timeout... who was taking too long for the final customer... so needless to say I said to my server does not perform a check ident and email send accelerated time.  good thing is this speeds also send other things too.

    It seems that the timeout for sending electronic mail of the pre is 'short' as< 30="" seconds="" or="" so..="" i'm="" not="" sure="" what="" the="" standard="" timeout="" should="" be..="" but="" my="" issue="" appears="" to="" be="">

    Thanks halula for trying to direct me towards some additional info, but that debug information was not useful... I ended up doing some pre openssl commands and synchronization between local and remote have been, well... huge... once I passed this point... a moment of work helped google in the right direction.

  • Output of MatlabScript in the matter of the loop

    Hello everyone, but long time reader first time poster, and I was wondering if I could get help to a little problem here, or... Well, more like a question and not a problem.

    I don't download the .vi because I don't think it will be necessary, in addition, ignore the rest of the image (I just play with image processing like I taught him) and go to the location of the matlab script.

    My goal is to represent the image (taken from image data) bit and in the end, it must look like to... a table of 8 columns and all the lines she might need (can't see all of the lines of course) so it will look like a matrix.

    For example, it should look a bit like this on the user Panel
    | 1. 0 | 1. 1. 0 | 1. 0 | 1. (first 8 bit value)

    | 1. 0 | 1. 1. 1. 0 | 1. 0 | (8-bit second value)

    etc...

    So for that, I use the matlab de2bi function and the release of this part is where my problem is, im putting out 8 columns representing each number comes from the image and well, im confused as to what is going out of the matlab function and the loop, as you can see in the picture I have uploaded, I put a flag in the output of 'bin '. , was automatically called Real, inside the loop and the other digital, outdoors, also, I disabled the index of the tunnel in this output. (if I activate the index, it comes out as a table)

    I thought that Real and Numeric to be showing the same thing, but when I run it, which doesn't seem to be the case, you Real shows the 1 and 0 (I guess it shows the 8 bits because it shows figures but I saw in the matlab command window and there are 8 bits stored in 'bin') and digital remains just at 0 its almost as if nothing were happening out of the loop, and because I'm not sure what it is falling I can't really find a way to show the bits as in the example, I said before.

    Read the help of de2bi, it is said that his exit is a matrix if the input is a vector, but I don't think it's a vector since due to the loop, it takes value by value, then it must go to the default (in binary) value too...

    Thanks for the help in advance, in addition, whether something else to better understand my problem please say so and I will do my best to make it easier to understand.

    I don't know why you're so obsessed on matlab, LabVIEW can do all this much simpler directly. Here's a possible solution. (LabVIEW 8.5. For other possible outputs you could reverse the Boolean array, so modify them.).

    (Your main mistake under matlab is that your output of matlab is defined as a scalar value, then it should be a vector. Your tunnel to exit of the matlab node has the wrong data type.)

  • Can I use VM 2nd NIC to access target on the storage network?

    I'm running ESXi 4.1 on an isolated network iSCSI network storage with 1 NIC physical on the management network, 4 physical network connected to the Production network interface cards, and 4 NIC physical and all my VM is Server 2008 x 64. Until the budget will allow, without my actually are Dell PE 2900 of servers running Windows Server 2008r2 and Microsoft iSCSI Software Target 3.3 with various sizes of PowerVault DAS, which is 15 to. Here's my question regarding this configuration. The environment in which I work in requires the use of an application that needs the access card to a server that has more than 10 TB of structured of maps and images. For the sake of future growth, I decided to go the normal way of iSCSI target as opposed to sharing/server configuration, so I created a 14.5 TB iSCSI Target .vhd and all my data have moved to this location. In addition, I have one of my servers iSCSI Initiator pointing to the target VM (exported snapshot)... through my network of production... where it is mounted as a read-only disc, configured as I need to be and spread my desktop map. This configuration works well, but the fact that my VM accesses the target via my production network is certainly not the way I need it to be installed, I really need to access the network storage iSCSI initiator. Confused yet? I really need to keep my out of the Production Network iSCSI traffic, but so far I have not been able to find a method to add a second NETWORK card on my virtual computer and put it on anything other than the VM network. I have no problem at all with my host ESXi accessing iSCSI target data warehouses that I created on my other AD, but obviously, there are enormous obstacles to the creation of a 14.5 TB data store, while a 14.5 to SAN target is very flexible and easy... now how can I shoot by the storage network team.

    I appreciate the answers really, but I'm composing this House as VMWare communities are blocked on my work network. However, given that the responses are also sent to my email... I will receive them as text and therefore all references to added images etc will have to wait until I get to watch. Answers appreciated text.

    Thank you

    Confused yet?

    Yes, absolutely

    I don't know if your configuration iSCSI in detail, please consider my suggestion carefully. Access the iSCSI virtual machine network directly should be as simple as adding a group of ports 'Virtual Machine' to iSCSI vSwitch and adding another virtual NETWORK card on the computer virtual - attached to the newly swanky group harbour - with an IP address in the range of iSCSI.

    Suggestions for the apps for failing to launch due to the loop 'renew your membership '?

    When I run the application Id, AI, Pr, Ps, Pl, most of the apps I get a renew your subscription window popping up from the adobe Application Manager.  Telling me to go to the subscription manager to renew my subscription.  My subsrtion is up to date and requires no renewal for 6 months.  I click try again, and the window confirms that my Creative Subsctioption Cloud is active and he is asking me to click Coontinue.  When I do loops me back to renew your Subsction window and not all apps will launch.

    They have only the ambiguity is that this month for a reason, Adobe only charged me $1.29 for my subscription, but not all.  I guess that's the problem, but there is no way for me to pay it in full from the Web site.  Does

  • a problem in passing multiple values in the loop settings for

    Hi all

    I am facing a problem in passing multiple values in the loop settings for.

    EX:

    CREATE or REPLACE PROCEDURE (pr_id OUT NUMBER) HAVE

    tab type is table of NUMBER;

    TEMP_TAB TAB;

    BEGIN

    Select the COLLECT LOOSE pr temp_tab pr_id;

    I'm in 1.TEMP_TAB. loop of COUNTING

    PR_ID: = temp_tab (i);

    end loop;

    END TEST;

    OUTPUT:-

    pr_id = 234578

    in the example above, I'm only a value as an out parameter. but I send you PR_ID of the loop.
    why I don't get all the values that the parameters.please offer a solution for me.

    Thank you my friend.

    More clarification, let's look at your code...

    -- create a procedure and have a single numeric out variable
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE TEST ( pr_id OUT NUMBER ) AS
      -- declare a type as an array of numbers
      type tab is table of NUMBER;
      -- declare a varianble of that array type
      TEMP_TAB TAB;
    BEGIN
      -- query all the values from the table into the array
      select pr_id BULK COLLECT INTO temp_tab from pr;
      -- loop through each value in the array
      for i in 1..TEMP_TAB.COUNT loop
        -- set the value of the single OUT parameter, OVERWRITING any previous value it has
        PR_ID := temp_tab(i);
        -- loop around to the next value
      end loop;
      -- end the procedure with the final value of PR_ID
    END TEST;

  • Time Machine backs up only on the local network connection

    Hello

    I have a LAN Ethernet and a wireless connection to the same network. Is it possible to force the backup Machien time to use only the ethernet LAN connection in all cases? I want to warn the TMB to limit the bandwidth of my wireless network.

    Ethernet to be the highest network interface ordered to force, and as long as you're connected Ethernet, it be the interface for all traffic.

    System-> network preferences

    If you want seamless switching between WiFi and Ethernet, then your router book the same IP address for the interface Ethernet and WiFi connections.  This is done differently by the router of different brands and models.  For an Airport Extreme/Time Capsule, it would be done by giving your Ethernet and TCP/IP WiFi of the same name from DHCP reservations settings, and then associate the DHCP reservation name with an IP address in Airport Extreme network settings.

  • CMS OVA, adding the second NETWORK card breaks the first NETWORK card

    I'm testing CMS 2.0 and when I try to add a second NETWORK card in VMware, he immediately interrupts the first network card.  As soon as the loading of the image, the first NIC fails.  Even if I disable iface b, it will allow all traffic where iface one.  If I stop the application, remove the NETWORK adapter and run it back again, it works very well to the iface one.

    I want to test the public face with box feature, but I can't if I can't add a second network card.

    How do you add the second network interface and interface you add?

    You should add 'VMXNET3' type if you use VMWare, if you chose something else, you invalidate your license, see section 3.3 of the virtualized CMS 2.0 Setup Guide for deployments.

    If you need assistance, you must move this thread to the section of telepresence of forums, where this device is actively discussed.  You can change your question and change the categories at the bottom of the page.
