Enterprise activation status

We can detect programmatically if a BlackBerry smart phone has been activated? The issue includes 2 cases:

1. a company not BlackBerry (connected to a BES & BIS)

2. a business device that has not yet been activated.

I know for the devices of the company, the user can manually go in Options::Advanced Options::Enterprise Activation and read the State from there. But I'm looking for a way to get the same information by programming.

Thanks in advance,

Mitch

You can check the availability of MDS using (independent of the real network coverage) service books.

the code is a bit complex, you can extract it from this demo application:

    Hello

Enterprise activation can be done through the BAA, it must take over the device. If you are looking for a code to set the EA password then please refer to the Interface of BAADispatcher the reference documents API BAA for the code examples:

You do not have a policy.

If you have a notification that is displayed, I don't know the reason or solution.

In the e-mail configuration, you will see the option of the company, but that shouldn't be a gene.

See what others say. I'm not there is something I'm missing or do not know to ask.

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

I'd say create the user to communicate with its mobile service provider to verify that they are configured to BlackBerry Enterprise Service.

    Thank you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Bold 9900 and 9720 cannot find the enterprise activation

    Hi all

I'm trying to set up an Enterprise Activation for one of our users overseas. She has two phones 'BB Bold 9900 and BB 9720'.  It doesn't have the enterprise activation option.  I asked him to download the activation request to company "App World", but after downloading, he said that the software is not supported. Here, I'm puzzled.

Currently I set him up with Exchange Activesync, but it is my understanding that will not synchronize calendars and contacts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated here.

First of all, ActiveSync will not work on a Bold 9900 or 9720. You need BES to use Activation of the company.

Second, service of many plans you need for a BES plan for Enterprise Activation menu. You will need to make sure that his wireless service plan supports BES. Many are personal plans only, and EA is not supported.

    Hope that helps.

  • BlackBerry tour Smartphones Enterprise activation

On a new tour from Verizon yesterday, bought Options > Advanced Options > Enterprise Activation is missing.

Download the User Guide and getting started Guide, and there is no reference to 'The Enterprise Activation' moved.

Any ideas on what menu, this feature is?

Which package do you w / the tour?  If you do not have the BES (business) data plan, the service book for the EA will be not sent down to your device.  If you have received data from the company, give Verizon a call, they will be able to take care of it for you...

All seems normal - except for the last command, where it seems to have been no output (we usually expect an error 'Cannot find' similar to the one above)

This makes me wonder if there is something...

However, before we address that, please try this...

This can result from the setting by mistake the folder Windows and its contents to "read only".
    status.

    Open Windows Explorer (computer)

    Navigate to the folder C:\

Find the Windows folder and right click on it

    Select Properties

Clear the "blob" in box "read-only (applies only to files in the folder)" by clicking on it until it is white.

    Click on apply.

Make sure the radio button for "Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files" is defined, and then click OK.

Accept the administrator command prompt. After a few seconds, you will be told there is an error - click on the button "ignore all".

Wait for it to finish - it might take a few minutes.

Once completed, the "blob" will reappear. This is normal, and you can ignore it

Out OK and exit Windows Explorer.

    Reboot twice

I just updated the hard drive on my laptop using Windows system image utility, and now I am unable to activate Windows 7 Enterprise 64.

In theory a VPN updates your remote location on the network of universities then you should not make any difference however to remove a level of uncertainty, it may help.

    The important line is here:

"Please use slmgr.vbs /ato to activate and update information on KMS clients to update values."

You cannot authenticate a KMS license on any server, he'll need allow sort.

  • Enterprise activation Smartphones blackBerry 8900

I can't activate my Curve 8900 (new) to synchronize wirelessly with Outlook.

We have a Blackberry Enterprise Server and I was delivered with the (new) password.

I entered my e-mail address and password, but it gives an error message that says "contact your administrator" which is not really intuitive. I also tried adding the details of the server but had the same problem.

The first time I synchronized via my laptop and it worked, then when I removed the cable and experienced what precedes, I even if I did something wrong during installation so I wiped the blackberry and tried again. Same problem as above and I have not connected to the laptop yet.

I checked with our company, which has confirmed that my SIM card is enabled for data. The collection starts when I put it in an old Blackberry device.

Any advice will be really welcome.

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) books of forwarding Service

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Good luck!
