Entrance to Smartphones Japenese blackBerry on the Bold 9790

Hi all

Talk soon

Sunny

Hello

I found the solution by going to the site to download software and then looking at Europe and then BT I downloaded the j package and then used Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.7 to install. I have had low grade the version on the blackberry, but managed to download the Japanese input

Kind regards

Trying to Exite of installation, the phone freezes. I can't move to cancel. The only way out is to remove the battery.

Do you have a data Plan BlackBerry enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?

You have to, to get the push RIM email functions you are looking for, as well as services of BlackBerry data such as the Web browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger and much more.

Then call your carrier and you learn about to have added to your account BlackBerry data Plan.

  • Upload Smartphones Photo blackBerry to the computer

I have a Blackberry "BOLD", a "handmedown" of my son. Recently took some pictures and I would like to download it to my computer, where I put all my photos. Do I need a particular 'cable' (USB type?) that will link phone/camera to the computer?

Hello and welcome to the community!

Not only do you need a suitable cable (one initially supplied with him would be preferable, otherwise, you will need to go shopping for a cable that fits on the USB port of your computer and the data on the device port, preferably a true native BB OEM cable rather than some substitute), but you will need the appropriate software installed on your PC (so that it can recognize and communicate with the device). • Smartphones to blackBerry after the Application update the only language chosen is English

    Hello

    I just bought a Bold 9700 today.

After installing the Desktop Manager (Mac) and hang the Blackberry to my Mac, I went to the Applications tab and installed a few additional applications. After the restarted blackberry the menu language is set to English (instead of German, like it was before), so I went into options to return to the German, but the only option is English.

Did someone knows how can I get German as a language?

    Matt

The problem ist that I don't have a PC, one a Mac, so updating the firmware etc does not work for me.

I actually had a Trial Version of Parallels + Windows lying around, installed that, installed Windows Desktop Manager and then just reinstall Applications, now I can use the German language again. I still have no idea why, if I use the Mac Desktop Manager, it removes the German language files and even though I have check boxes to install them, it is not actually install them. I guess I'll just try not to use the Application Setup and everything will be fine... It all sounds pretty weird, but I can't find another solution.

Thanks for your help guys if!

  • Language options of Smartphones from blackBerry in the firmware

    Hello

So I have a Bold 9700 user on a support. He wants to be able to have the possibility to type in Japanese.

I checked the carrier's Web site, and there are the following options:

    MultiLanguage
All languages - languages of East Asia included
    East Asia

    I'm confused, lol.

Which should I download on the device? Am I right in thinking that:

    (i) "EastAsia" means the far East fonts?

(II) "multilingual" is only the Western languages?

(III) what I want is 'All languages - languages of East Asia included' to offer the possibility to choose between English and Japanese?

Or I'm getting this all wrong

    Sheen says:

Or I'm getting this all wrong

    You are very close!

    Sheen says:

    (i) "EastAsia" means the far East fonts?

And English, all versions of BlackBerry operating system include English.

(II) "multilingual" is only the Western languages?

That's right, for the most part, Yes.

(III) what I want is 'All languages - languages of East Asia included' to offer the possibility to choose between English and Japanese?

Who should serve you as well, as well as #1 above. I'd go with #1, since it will include less languages, a smaller file.

  • Info transfer of Smartphones from blackBerry curve a Bold 9700

I'm trying to transfer my contacts from my old curve to my new Bold 9700 using the Blackberry Desktop Software (v. 6.0.0.40).  I have two questions: (1) I keep prompted for a password for each of the devices, but it does not recognize my device passwords and keep asking myself the passwords - what am I doing wrong? and (2) it is possible to transfer only the contacts and nothing else? (My boyfriend of systems already transferred my emails).

    Thank you

    Bob

    Sorry, everybody.

I feel like a * beep *-the problem I have had with my device passwords was my fault.  The character that I kept thinking has a number (number on my Blackberry) was in fact a letter, and I needed to enter it as a letter on the keyboard of my computer.  For example, I thought, it was "5555" was actually "dddd".

  • Contacts transfer Smartphones BB blackBerry to the computer at home

Hi - I have a new Blackberry Curve 8900, which is loaded with contacts. I backed up the files on the handheld PC via Desktop Manager 4.7.

How can I read/use the Contacts on my PC at home? Can I open the file with DM4.7? If not can I fill out an address book in Outlook Express? I don't want to "sync" my address book Outlook Express this with BB contacts. I wish I had the contacts of BB as a stand-alone resource on my PC. I think that I could create a new (empty) address book in Outlook Express, but I can't understand how to transfer from your cell phone to the PC.

Thank you for any light on this question.

    -Frank

Frank, Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

Yes, you can use Outlook Express (and I'm not very familiar with OE), but yes as you can.

Understand how to create the second profile of OE, as in OE.

Then using BlackBerry Desktop Manager, click SYNC and open it. In the clock > configuration you can find options to set the program in which the sync function connects... together this and you will be ready to go.

  • Icon timer of Smartphones from blackBerry in the middle of the screen

Hey hope someone can help me with this. These days my phone has like a little black box which one could say is like a small clock, because it has a white line that goes around it, as it is counting the time. Anyway the problem is happening constantly if the phone is used or not, and uses my battery. I completely loaded before I went to sleep last night and woke up and the battery has been drained. I removed the battery several times to reset but it did not help. Someone at - it ideas?

You certainly have applications that run in the background, maps, an active web browser page or something of the sort.

Also, make sure that you have disabled memory Cleaner (Options > Security > garbage collection). You don't need it.

To avoid a freezing response development or late / slow on any BlackBerry, most important practice that you can adopt is to ensure applications CLOSE when you are finished using them.

If you simply press the Red "end call" key to return to the home screen application is actually open and running in the background. If you do this several times, you will have many apps open and therefore your memory will get used. Lack of memory is the main reason for your BlackBerry slows to a crawl or crashes. If you make a habit of actually use the menu button to close the applications that will at least slow this process memory-clogging. You may still do a battery pull or using the "Quickpull" app from time to time when things get slow.

To check what applications run on your device in the background, press the Menu key, and then click switching Applications. You will see icons for each application it.

So now, check your applications running in the background. There are four or five applications that will always run fluently (Messages, Call Logs/phone, BlackBerry Messenger, home screen and the browser; there are other third-party applications such as BeeJive and alerts of BlackBerry that will work also in the bottom that you can not close if you want they work). Ensure that the browser is NOT on an active Web page (open the browser and select the Menu > close). Close all other applications that do not need to be running (the camera or a game you were playing or Google Maps).

  • Option of 'Options' of the Smartphones from blackBerry in the BB Menu button doesn't work is not on the Torch 9800

Whenever I select 'Options' from the drop of the BB Menu button on my Torch 9800, the screen flashes, then back to my home screen. It has been so for a long time (almost a year) and I think that there is a permission that has been disabled inadverdently. It does work if I use the theme BB6 native or other that I downloaded. Anyone know how to make 'Options' to the option to start working again?

    Hi randynjaimie,

Try to back up your data using the BlackBerry® Desktop Software and perform a clean reload of your BlackBerry® Device Software.

For more information, see the following article. How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device Software for Windows. www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/kb11320
Please test to make sure that the problem has been resolved before restoring all the data from your backup file.

    I hope this helps.

  • Speaker icon of Smartphones from blackBerry in the upper left corner is gone

Yes, this may be a stupid question, but this is my first blackberry and after a few weeks I don't get all the fuss. I keep reading all these great things about it, but I can't. In fact I currently hate mine. The accompanying cd was no help that's right on by with the instruction book. Nothing happens with my phone, as it is supposed too. I realize that maybe I don't know what I'm doing, but before you return to the store and lose my mind on a poor unexpecting, I'm trying to fix it myself. When I have a trackball in the upper left corner all I get is a black white square, even if I push the trackball, nothing happens. I used to be able to take of loud, silent, vibrate, etc. Now, I have no options. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Whenever random strange behaviors creep, the best thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, this one suffers memory leaks and other... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.
