  • Info transfer of Smartphones from blackBerry curve a Bold 9700

I'm trying to transfer my contacts from my old curve to my new Bold 9700 using the Blackberry Desktop Software (v. 6.0.0.40).  I have two questions: (1) I keep prompted for a password for each of the devices, but it does not recognize my device passwords and keep asking myself the passwords - what am I doing wrong? and (2) it is possible to transfer only the contacts and nothing else? (My boyfriend of systems already transferred my emails).

    Thank you

    Sorry, everybody.

I feel like a * beep *-the problem I have had with my device passwords was my fault.  The character that I kept thinking has a number (number on my Blackberry) was in fact a letter, and I needed to enter it as a letter on the keyboard of my computer.  For example, I thought, it was "5555" was actually "dddd".

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Torch 9800 my email does not work via wifi

I just sync my new torch of my old "BOLD". All information transferred perfectly including my 2 email accounts.

I have the misfortune to live in an area of 2G alone on a remote island. SMS, phone calls and wifi only. I had my old "BOLD", via wifi hotspots on my gmail account and send and receive emails fine, but just say the torch was ' activation failed. A service connection is not available "whenever I try to activate the account.

Seems that it won't work with wifi, I can surf the net without any problem

    Any ideas?

Turn off the WiFi connection and go to an area where you have a clear link with the 2G (EDGE) and follow these steps:

On your BlackBerry device, go to:

    1. options > advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register.

2 send your service from your carrier's BIS site books:
    Of your handheld: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402

Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and sign. Then under help!, select Service books and select send service books.

    Your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
North American carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
Carriers worldwide - find your operator from the list

    3. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart. This restart, even if you have already done this, is often necessary to install the service books.

Then, this should install it Service required to torch books, and you should be able to perform all data in WiFi services you have been in the past.

  • Configuration of e-mail of Smartphones from blackBerry - username and password

I got my BB for 3 weeks and I like... I'm a bit paranoid about excessive bills. (Will have to make sure that I understand what functions are covered by the contract and I pay through the nose for.) At least on my point of view.

I created my gmail email using the email configuration feature. Was actually very easy. However, I don't remember my user name or password to get back in. (all I wanted to do was to add a signature rather than the default "email sent using Blackberry on orange" at the end of emails).

Is anyway to reset it? If I could at least remember my user name I could recover my password - but I tried every username I can think and not joy. Anyone would be able to suggest something? If this isn't the case, Blackberry would be able to help me? It is not an earth shattering the problem I can get and send emails at the moment. However, I hate not having full access because of my own stupidity to not write the PW and UN and store them safely.

    Any help or advice welcome

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Curve 8330 - Email POP3 problems: Incorrect password

    Hello

I'm having a problem with the email on my Sprint Curve 8330... I had the camera for a week or two and email works fine, but I'm currently having a problem with one of my POP3 email accounts (I have 2 Configuration on the phone).

My Outlook suddenly wonder over and over again to enter my password, and I received an email on my camera, stating that E-mail was are more distributed, because my password/username must be updated. No e-mail password have been changed, but I followed the instructions and logged onto my email configuration and back my password. When I saved, he says that the update of my account was not.

This happened to me for a few hours last week and told me it was just because the BB/Sprint server has decreased, but it lasted about 7 hours HE and continues today. The server is really low? I do not understand exactly why I can't get my email on my PC either, but that's exactly what happened the last time. I find it also strange that only one of my accounts POP3 is affected.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hello HeroicDiva,

If your Outlook and BlackBerry Internet Service reject your password or asking you for the password, then your password has changed on this mail server. My advice would be to contact your host or IT admin who cares for it to reset the password to something you want so that you can update both places and get back up and functional.

    See you soon!

  • Yahoo of Smartphones from blackBerry email does not sync

I had to replace my first Storm 2 because it worked as expected. I had added my Yahoo email and I could read and delete email from my Blackberry and it would show as read or delete my account online when I logged in, so if I read or messages online that they would show as read or deleted on the Storm 2 deleted. Now, I added the same account on the new phone and I have to read and delete emails AND online on my Blackberry because the way 2 synchronization does not work anymore. Does anyone know how to fix this? I deleted the accounts, added them, wipe the whole device and began more multiple times and it still does not work. He has never worked for hotmail but if anyone knows how to work for hotmail that information would also be appreciated.

Just to test if you replace the Delete on the letter box and handheld can send you yourself a new email and test?

  • Problems of Smartphones from blackBerry using Desktop Manager

Thanks to all those of you who are trying to help us with problems. I just spent 2-3 hours reading through different positions, work on my list of questions, etc. I'm not a fast reader, unfortunately. And even glancing to the area of my specific questions, I learned some things. Unfortunately, I have so many questions, it is difficult to imagine how I can find the time to follow along. I have one of those jobs that usually takes much of my time, so sometimes, I may not able to check my personal email for several days.

But this message because he talks to set up the Office Manager, which I had trouble with. But I can't figure out how to get the answers I need. A major problem that I find irritating, it's when I start the DM he always tries to set up the e-mail... I've set up 3 emails that are sent to my BBy, and I am happy with that. One of them is MS Outlook since one of my jobs. But I can't seem to set up something that works to prevent this return each time I start up. I don't know what I'm doing when I'm trying to configure... all the choices that I don't understand, I'm afraid I'll mess up something that works well.

I was interrupted now, so cannot continue my investigation.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Bold9700 e-mail settings

    Hi all

I need to know if the (Blackberry 9700) phone will download previous (old) e-mail when you set up a Yahoo mailbox, either manually or through the Blackberry ID or it will begin to receive messages from the moment where the account has been set up?

I know Yahoo is not an Exchange mailbox so it shouldn't get old messages, right?

As much I know Blackberry ID saves only the mailbox, not the emails content settings, right?

    Thank you!

Hello and welcome to the community!

    Your assumptions are almost correct.

By default, BBs start to receive only nine points from the time of the integration of this email account for the BB... old items that are in the mailbox of the server are not translated to the BB. This in fact is true also for BES... Although there are a few tricks that can be done with BES (pre-population of) who can bring a few old items email a BB, but not all (unless "all the" elements within the period of pre-population of). But for your Yahoo, old items will not be brought to your BB.

As a further clarification, your BB ID technically does not maintain anything on your email configurations. Instead, it maintains a link with your BIS account, that is which contains your email credentials. But you're right in that BIS maintains that your e-mail settings, but not the contents of the mailbox.

    Good luck!

  • E-mail blackBerry Smartphones from BlackBerry regarding "update my password by e-mail"

Hi, I received an email supposedly from BlackBerry to my phone at 01:04 titled Action required: update password.

The message told me that I had to update my password on one of my email accounts in the BlackBerry internet service. HE said that Email from that address were not distributed to my phone (I only noticed at this point that they were not because this isn't used much e-mail) and to resume the service, I needed to update my passwsord.

He went on to give me instructions on how to do it. He said to open my BlackBerry Internet service account is by opening the configuration of email on my device application or visiting the BlackBerry Internet Service site then to go to the page e-mail accounts, choose the option change the correct email address, update the password field and then save.

Depending on my device, the message has been received using the email as needed update account and has been in my Inbox and came from "[email protected]."

It may seem silly, but I'm always a little kept when I get emails about passwords, I still did nothing, but I connect to my e-mail account online and there are 3 messages in my Inbox that indeed did not come to my phone, but no messages from blackberry. I didn't have a problem with my existing password.

Is it current for BlackBerry to ask me to do this?

Thank you very much for any help received

It happens from time to time. Fear not:
it you don't trust that, just go to your carrier's BIS site and edit the passwd file.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager "Connection" infinitely...

    Hello everyone,

I've been a BB user for a while through my place of work, and so when it came time to own a personal device I naturally gravitate to Blackberry. Now, I own a 9870 and can say that it is a smooth device and not had any problems with any of the configuration of the device itself.

My problems began when I installed the Desktop Manager on my PC at home. I have the latest version of the Office Manager v6.0.2 B45 and installed. Next I went to connect my device (selection only, load the information says the correct setting for the Desktop Manager but I also tried other Media Sync and USB Mode), which BB device detected correctly, after pilots themselves management and could see the number of PINS and a time of 'Connected' count to.

Desktop Manager launches, without error, and displays the green USB icon beside the name of the device. In the lower right corner of the software, it says "Connection" with a rotation of wheel environmental activities, although slowly. It remains in this State indefinitely. (At the end of my ordeal I left all night and woke up to 5 hours later to find in the same State with Device Manager the show after having been logged all the time)

I tried to reinstall the desktop software, reboot, do battery pull, disable the power management for the USB port (a port directly on the PC, not a hub) and try other ports on the PC, running for Desktop software compatibility mode, forcing 'run as administrator '. I have probably forgotten some of the things I've tried that as I spent many hours of grinding.

I KNOW that the device is functional, as is the cable I have to connect it to my work laptop and it works perfectly as works my Blackberry. I'm hoping that I have missed a few minor details or overlooked some obvious parameters like "good mode on" I can't think just not what else could be the problem.

I throw myself on your mercy that I don't know what else to try to solve this problem. Any help would be appreciated!

For the sake of reference, my PC specs are:

    Windows 7 64-bit, home

    4 GB OF DDR3 MEMORY

    Intel I7 860

    (Lots of free disk space)

I don't know if I did something wrong to post my topic and so it has been neglected or if there is simply not one that has experienced this problem. I know that their must be some people who use Bluetooth to synchronize their devices, and help on that would have been great.

For the sake of posterity, I bought an ASUS BT211 adapter and installed using drivers from the chipset manufacturer (Atheros) so that Windows can use it's native stack of BT and be detected by Device Manager.  I was able to pair it using this method and the management office IMMEDIATELY detected the connection and allowed me to sync and backup the device.

On a whim, I connected the USB cable I had so much trouble with and noted with a certain degree of exaltation that he detected and connected almost instantly. I've disconnected BT and can now connect and sync with USB with no problems whatsoever.

I don't know what the specific problem was, but there is clearly something in the initialization process, which did not work well USB which has not been met through BT, and now that it's at this point, is no longer hangs it past.

I hope that this information will be useful to some tortured soul who comes through it, or maybe some staff of the QA of RIM, as I was able to benefit from other experiences.

    Good luck!

  • Blackberry Bold 9700 Smartphones from blackBerry backup

    Hello!

I was able to backup data from my phone to the computer before it broke down. (Shows a white screen, I think the problem is the display screen)

    The questions are:

1 is easy to fix the problem?

    2. how to open the data stored on my computer? I need to check some contacts and text messages.

    3. How can I transfer all the data again to a new phone? Should this phone be a Blackberry in order for contacts/messages/photos to be transferred?

Thanks in advance for answering my questions.

    Hello

    ateliermd2003 wrote:

In my view, that can be firmly answered by a technician with the device by hand. If the problem is not a hardware problem, you might be able to recover it with this:

    • KB27956 How to recover a BlackBerry smartphone from any State

    ateliermd2003 wrote:

    2. how to open the data stored on my computer? I need to check some contacts and text messages.

Natively, the backup file (BBB or RPI, depending on the version of the Desktop software you used) is intended for a single purpose... as the source of restoration to a BlackBerry. But there are several 3rd PC-based 3rd party there apps that can analyze the file backup, some even to do something else with the resulting data. I've never needed, but I heard good things about MagicBerry. Search for a few seconds (for example, on Google) and I'm sure you will find plenty of candidates for your needs.

    ateliermd2003 wrote:

To transfer to another BB, simply perform the restore:

    • KB10339 How to use BlackBerry Desktop Software to restore data from a BlackBerry smartphone from a backup file

To transfer to another device, these 3 save game file analysis applications (from your point 2 above) would be your source... you would have to understand what requires this device non - BB and then manipulate the data in the required format and then use whatever of this non - BB device has to load the data on this device.

    Good luck!
