Envy 15 laptop: laptop computer will be turned off completely

I have installed a number of patches recommended by HP Support Assistant.  Now when my notebooks stops or goes into standby/sleep mode extended, the shutdown does not complete.  The power light turns on but the screen is blank and keys do not respond.  If I hold down the power button, nothing happens.  I have to remove the battery before I can restart the computer with the power button.

I think it was due to the installation SP72045 (driver Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI)) or SP72853 (HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI), the last installed.  I had recently installed 6 other corrections - tedious copy Wizard help screen unless it's necessary.

Apparently saved by Windows troubleshooting of power 10!

Followed by ch from the support page instructions - convenience store said there was a problem with the screen saver - I said fix.  Now, the system will stop completely and released the previous day.

    I had some of the same problem. I am working on a friends N5010 (1545) laptop and no matter what I did the laptop would not be stopped and the CPU constantly fan would go right from the beginning to the top. I click the button 'Start' and close as usual. However the laptop continues to operate even if the hard drive light was off. Only the power led remained. I even installed different versions of the operating system in the hope that the backup image of the disks I was using was corrupt and cause a problem. I searched other forums and have found an answer to a similar survey that says to remove the CMOS battery and reinstall it. I have disassembled the laptop, removed the battery (which I might add was down, I had to remove the motherboard and flip it over) and then reinsert the battery. Since I got everything disassembled, I changed the battery, just in case where instead of just re - install. After reassembly and re - install the original from backup, disk image works well. This worked for me and can work for you, if you do not already solved your problem.

    When I shutdown/hibernate/standby/resume my laptop, it will die completely.

    All programs will be closed (when stop or restart) and I think that OS will also close. But the laptop will not turn off. Power LIGHT and fan will stay on.

    And when I try to Hibernate, everything is ok, but I have the same problem.

    Whenever I have to turn it off by holding the power button, otherwise the battery will be discharged.

    After manual turn off, when I turn it on again, everything works correctly:

    -If hibernation: OS will continue to last situation.

    -If start/stop: OS works normally without error or warning.

    After sleep, OS works from the beginning. Because the data stored in RAM and will be deleted after power off.

    Perhaps a portable automatic perevent equipment turned off. All the drivers are up to date.

    Is there a parameter/software to check and fix my problem?

    On some machines, the pilot for 11 series IMEI has been known to cause that kind of question of the judgment, so it may be worth trying an earlier version.

    You can use the following method to install an earlier version of the driver IMEI.

    Download driver IMEI on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    Disable your wireless card (should be f12 ).

    Open your download folder and run the installer - it warns you that it is an earlier version, but simply continue.

    When finished, restart the laptop.

    If the computer shuts down correctly, turn on your wireless adapter and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to update automatically the driver IMEI again.

    I recommend that you make sure you have your license key for webroot. Uninstall the software and reboot. If that solves the problem, it's time to go to the Webroot support and ask their tech support that it.

    Help, please! I love and need my laptop! I have a Pavillion G6-2200.  In December I started having overheating problems. I was able to clean a very dirty fan and for the last three months, that it worked perfectly, well except that I couldn't use my wireless. Then on Friday he just stopped. I could not turn it back on for several hours and then it turns off again. I cleaned and replaced the thermal paste on the heat sync. I cleaned the fan and low load cpuid. Now I can turn it on and it will work for about 10 minutes before his arrest. It turns but obly after I remove and replace the battery.  Here is a screenshot of the newspaper of cpuid.     I wouldn't use anything done by Uniblue, it does not work. It will make things worse.

    I would like to uninstall Mcafee, and then use the removal tool to remove it completely. Install rather program AV from Microsoft.

    normally, the battery should always charge until it is full when the power is connected.
    If you have an orange light flashes, it means that something is wrong. Maybe your battery is faulty or something else. This should be checked by a technician.

    I use a Windows XP SP3 & my os of Intel D915GVWB motherboard. I use AVG free antivirus & my windows all updates are only on the date.

    What I've been finding that after a few days, my network (LAN) turns off completely, I can not connect to the Internet. I can't see anything with the yellow question mark in device under network adapter Manager. In fact the branch of network adapter is totally absent here. So I check the hidden items, but the Intel Pro 100 n/w adapter is missing. It shows that some in the list but all irrelevant.

    Also, when I try to reinstall the driver through my CD of intel, nothing works. Infact the CD intel don't watch not the driver LAN on menu autorun. It shows just the audio, the graphics accelerator and the chipset. No LAN driver doesn't show at all!

    I tried would continue the XP using my original CD but its does not work. Finally, I have to reinstall my XP again. It takes a lot of time & I'm losing all my data on the C drive.

    Can anyone suggest me what can be the issue. Why this network drivers go off & why.

    Have you tried running "sfc/scannow"?

    To use the tool Checker (SFC) system files (described in:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310747 ):

    You must have your Windows XP installation CD and the CD of Service Pack 3.

    If you do not have the SP3 CD, or order it (U.S. / Canada , Europe, Africa , Asia or South America ) from Microsoft or download the ISO (here ) and burn it.  You will need the installation CD and the SP3 CD.  Type:

    sfc/scannow

    It will ask for the installation CD, insert it and take a break.  After a while he also want the Service Pack 3 CD.  Occasionally, SFC may want to replace things; Let him.

    SFC can also, say that you have bad CD SP3.  I don't have a definitive answer to this problem.  You may be able to overcome by removing SP3 that you installed and re-setup from the SP3 CD then run SFC again.  (I think that it is because there are different language versions of service packs (include Multilingual).) ( Be sure to select the language appropriate for your ISO ).
