ENVY 700-049: ASUS ROG STRIX 1080 in HP ENVY 700-049?

I was wondering if the oversized ASUS ROG STRIX 1080 will enter my DESIRE to 700-049. I measured the case and it seems that he could hardly suitable, but I don't know the exact shape of the card. I did the updates that should affect the way that the card fits.

@SlimmonShady, welcome to the forum.

Please see the map here.  You can go to the tab specifications for all what you need to know.  If the card you want to buy it is 11.73 "length.  I know that you said that you measured the case.  Measure again from the rear i/o on the front of the case where the card will be installed.  This will allow you to see if the other components will be in the way.  I know for certain that it will be extremely tight and could block the flow of air.  Also, there are additional power from the PSU.  Your power supply is perhaps not powerful enough to 460W or the appropriate cable.

  • Best disk for my nice new laptop Asus ROG Configuration

    Hey everybody!

I just bought an ASUS ROG G752VT-GC046D (German Web site link), which has a 1 to 7200 RPM HARD drive. The computer has two empty 2280 m2 slots for disks SSD NVMe. I wonder what is the best configuration of disk while keeping my low costs? I do 1080 p video editing in Premiere Pro (30 FPS and 60 fps) and do a job after effects. I hope that the 4K video editing will be possible on this machine. But 4K is not a must, I would like to keep in mind when selecting disks.

    Data sheet:

    I7-6700HQ

    GTX 970M 3 GB GDDR

    16 GB DDR4 (2 of 4)

    FHD LED 17.3 "display

Maniboard: Intel CM236 (Skylake PCH - H) (im not sure at 100%, I found this on another website for G752VT)

    3 x USB 3

    1 x USB 3.1 / Thunderbolt

1000 GB 7200 RPM HARD drive

2 empty slots for disks SSD NVMe M.2

Discs cannot be configured in RAID

I have a 250 GB SSD 850 EVO in my old computer I can use (currently I use only this disk to edit). Speed reading and writing od 540 MB/s and 520 MB/s, respectively

    Configuration 1

    1 drive: operating system, programs, Pagefile - 128 GB SSD PM951 NVMe M.2 2280 = €65

    2 disc: media, projects - 1 TB 7200 RPM 2.5 "HARD disc

    3 disc: overview, media Cache, exports: 256 GB SSD PM951 NVMe M.2 2280 = €145

250 GB SSD 2.5 "or sold laying around EVO 850

    Investment = €210

    Configuration 2

    1 drive: operating system, programs, Pagefile - 128 GB SSD PM951 NVMe M.2 2280 = €65

2 disc: media, projects - 250 GB EVO 850 SSD 2.5 "(slower than PM951) SATA connectors"

    3 disc: overview, media Cache, exports: 256 GB SSD PM951 NVMe M.2 2280 = €145

    4 disc: backups & old projects - 1 TB 7200 RPM 2.5 "HARD disc

    Investment = 210€

I read the Page Tweakers on the configuration of the hard drive, but I don't know how to apply the knowledge practically while keeping in mind that I am not a super pro user with a huge budget but rather someone who wants to get better, but has a limited budget.

What are your thoughts on my Configurations, do you recommend improvements? Is the Configuration 2 the best bang for the buck (or euro)?

    Looking forward to your answers.

    Best,

    Gorazd

If you already have the evo 250 GB and you want to use into the laptop

    Disc 1-250 GB samsung 850 evo = os/apps/pagefile/db cache

    Disc 2-512 GB samsung 950 pro = project/media/previews

Disc 3-1 TB 7200 RPM hard drive = enclosure external usb for backups

So just buy a disc, the samsung 950 pro and a box external usb 3 for the 1 TB hard drive.

If you want to keep the internal 1 TB drive, then I think you have to go with two readers of m2. a pm951 of 128 GB or a little better sm951 for os/apps can work.

Skylake was almost a flop for the gain in performance over the last generation cpu. If new portable computers skylake are good for features such as Thunderbolt, which is good for the expansion or upgrades, including egpu.

  • Effect of haze of heat as in Asus ROG Promo

    Hey!

I would like to reproduce this effect, it is the hot air that fate of the ducts of heat from the laptop, as can be seen form the 0032: in this video

Do you know guys how I should go all that actually myself, hopefully a frank, since I am new to AE?

    Best

You need a displacement map. Which is easily generated with fractal noise. Then you nest (pre dial) the fractal noise later and use that as a source for the movement, card effect. To understand how to use one of these effects simply type "moving map" or "fractal noise" in the search field help in the upper right of After Effects and learn about the resources of the community.

Your publication would need a minimum of two layers. A layer is the layer of fractal noise nested animation. The other layer would be your original film. The trickiest part of the whole equation is the demo of the fractal noise works as it should in order to produce the distortion you want.  The values of color in the displacement map control to what extent the pixels move. 50% amounts to no movement, nothing more that moves in one direction, whatever this either under that moves the other.

    Hello!

This laptop would agree with After Effects, Photoshop, and first again?

    It has a processor i7-4710mq

    1 TB harddrive

    8 GB RAM

I intend to move the RAM to 32 GB and add an SDD 510-512.

    Thanx.

It's a great unit.  The first thing I would do is put in a Samsung 850 Pro drive and clone the OS and Applications for the SSD and exchange it with the hard drive and then because it has two slits through all of the 32 GB memory...  If you want to help with these two options to update let me know, it is very simple

  • Release of Lightroom CC 2015.6 VERY SLOW!

    Hi guys,.

I use Lightroom CC 2015.6 contacted Camera RAW 9.6 out of 10 Pro 64 bit and I have pretty decent rig: i7 6950 X (10 carrots), Asus Radeon Strix 1080 GTX, 64 GB 3200 RAM, SSD on PCI.  'Use the graphics processor' is enabled in my preferences of LR, but I don't see an important when different it is turned off.

First of all it takes LR about 3-4 seconds per image to build 1:1 previews, which means several hours if I have thousands of images from a shoot.

When I try to get a glimpse of some of the images at 100%, and to quickly move between them it works fine for maybe 5 minutes and then it starts to slow down: it takes LR seconds to create each preview and also from seconds to move between images. Furthermore, the previews are 3840px in size and average quality.

In Manager tasks I can see that at the start after start LR uses only 5-10% of my CPU resources and about 2 to 5 GB of RAM, but after a few minutes the use of RAM increases 15-20 GB and that's when LR becomes very slow. It seems he keeps each image previewed in memory and not release to the system when I close the preview.

I also tried another software to compare and other programs were significantly faster (Aftershot Pro is the fastest, followed by DXO Optics Pro and Capture One).

So it seems that this problem is strictly linked to the software and not to my material at all. Also, I noticed that after the recent updates, so I wonder if relling until one of the earlier versions might help.

Ideas to improve my experience with the latest edition of LR?

I'm really scared, because I don't really have time to wait for the software when working on thousands of images each week.

Your response will be appreciated. Thank you!

You have your system configured to save all 1:1 previews in your catalog for ever? I set mine to delete every 30 days, so I don't have all that stored somewhere in a cache with LR.

Because it goes so slow down anyway I don't think you have much to lose by trying to clear your cache. But read up on it before making this decision.

In addition, if your photos are stored on an external I wonder if there is a problem with this external hard drive bus speed?

Or if it's all beings stored on your local disk with the OS and applications, maybe it's having a shape any conflict with something the OS or a partner app? Do you think these performance issues when other applications are turned off? Just think-tanking with you here because it seems to have no else responded yet.
Hope of those is the solution.

  • Reboot Loop/No Boot - Alienware 17R3 - amplifier with Asus GTX 1080 Turbo graphics

I have a new graphics card this week, a Turbo of Asus GTX 1080, but I have questions about the use with the amplifier of graphics.

My laptop is a 17R3 of Alienware.

The Board fits perfectly, there is only a single power connector and it is fastened to the GPU.

When I connect the graphic amplifier and power the laptop it keep turning on/off as an infinite reboot cycle.

Maybe this specific version of 1080 GTX (Asus GTX 1080 Turbo) is not compatible with the graphics amplifier?

My previous video, a 980Ti ACX 2.0 EVGA card works just fine and if I plug this GPU to another computer also works.

I do not think that associates the PSU of GA, but who knows?

Everyone knows who? Has anyone tried this GPU with GA?

    Hi Chris!

Well, I traded Turbo 1080 GTX from Asus to a 1080 GTX from MSI, and now everything works perfectly!

So, I can confirm that the MSI GeForce 1080 Aero 8 G works perfectly with the AGM!

    Thanks for all your support.

    Kind regards

I also tried to connect more love at first sight with an HDMI adapter and that no longer works.

    Anyone else having this problem?

Well Yes. Exactly the same problem you described. In light of this + problems with drivers for my Performance MX Logitech mouse (restless as hell scroll), immediately restored to El Capitan.

Will be held off the coast of the upgrade until this issue is resolved.

  • Problem with MSINFO32. EXE and Total/available vs Page file space virtual memory reported

I am running Windows XP Professional SP3 with all installed updates, latest hardware drivers, etc.. It is a CLEAN installation on a material brand new, completed a week ago.
The "/ PAE" switch is enabled in the boot.ini file.

When I run MSINFO32. EXE, the summary of the system is the following:
    System model: System product name
    System type: X 86-based PC
    Processor: x 86 family 16 model 4 Stepping 3 Mhz-AuthenticAMD ~ 3515

    Total virtual memory: 2.00 GB
    Available virtual memory: 1.96 GB
    Page file space: 7.07 GB
    File: E:\pagefile.sys

Right click on 'my computer' and selecting 'Properties' shows exact needs to be visible to a 32 bit OS... 3.24 GB of RAM. So, how MSINFO32. EXE is able to detect all of 8 GB is totally beyond me. But this isn't my problem.

My BIG PROBLEM is the virtual memory. If I open the root of my drive E:\, it shows the swap file to size: 4 096 MB. And that's how it is in 'my computer' > 'Advanced' > 'Performance' > 'Advanced' > 'virtual memory' > 'change'.
    Custom size:
    -Initial size (MB): 4096
    -Maximum size (MB): 4096
Total size of file for all readers:
    -Minimum authorized: 2 MB
    -Recommended: 4978 MB
    -Currently allocated: 4080 MB

Why is-MSINFO32. EXE, statement my total virtual memory 2 GB and the size of pagefile 7.07 GB? Neither is correct! Can someone explain just what the heck happens here? My research on Google, many other people report the same total/available virtual memory amounts, with wildly different hardware configurations. I changed the size manually and rebooted several times, without result. I had the pagefile, sitting in a 5 GB partition, and then he moved on to another drive with plenty of space and assign "System managed". Divergence still existed.

    The material is as follows:
    [|] ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 BIOS v1702 [|] AMD PhenomII x 4 (970 Black Edition) [|] Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8 (x 2) mode modules together ~ 800 Mhz & calendar 8-8-8-24 [|] Integrated graphics card Radeon HD 4250 with 128 MB + 512 MB memory [|] ASUS VE248H 24 "1080 p HD LED monitor [|] Drives from Maxtor 6V250F0 (x 4) 250 GB SATAII 1.5 Gbps [|] LG BD - DL Optical Drive WH10LS30 [|] Creative Labs X - Fi Platinum Sound Card [|] Logitech LX 700 keyboard/mouse wireless [|]

I changed the speed / "timing" on the RAM to run ~ 666 Mhz @ 9-9-9-24, and the problem persists. As far as I know, he is not actually detrimental to the system; that is, it does not regularly, crash or anything. But the fact that MSINFO32. EXE cannot obtain such a right basis is VERY disturbing for me. There is no state what operating system says it is, then what fundamental problem may arise at some point in the future? Or is already there, hidden and wait a moment when the system load is high until it rears its ugly head and denounces all?
I wonder if I should completely eliminate virtual memory? Or at least reduce the pagefile to 2 GB or close? After all, I can't imagine many running programs as long as 3.24 GB (RAM available for the operating system) is not sufficient to contain all this. I guess only he pourrait happen, however, is why I'm reluctant to totally renounce virtual memory.

Anyway. Responses of all appreciated. Gimme a solutionand I will give my first-born. Or at least the neighbors...

    Hi VesanusTempestatum,

Your question is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for the IT Pro TechNet public. Please ask your question in the following forum.

  • Developed Adobe Premiere

    Hello

After a bad experience with my laptop, I decided to use a more powerful computer for my video editing.

I currently have the following specifications:

    • OS: Windows 10
    • Edit: Latest version Adobe Premiere
    • CPU: i7-2600 3.40 GHz
    • RAM: 32 gb
    • HD: SanDisk UItra | 480 (a single partition of currency)
    • VIDEO: ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB ROG STRIX graphics card (STRIX-GTX1070 - 8 G-GAMING)

I thought that this was sufficient to have the perfect video editing system, but I have experience lag and not soon found when I fast scrolling (left / right) to find the good footage.

    Please find below the screenshots.

The thumbnails will scroll (mouse over show a prescription with the scrolling options) but the rendering will not fast, this way I can use this function and the same experience I have with the source (top left) monitor, when I scroll does not go as planned.  The screenshot below is just an example, I also tried to put the videos in a new BIN etc etc nothing changed the rendering.

    12.PNG

When I use the OS default media player and scroll left to right, rendering goes as planned, fast and perfect for quickly find the range of right sequences in movies:

    13.PNG

    Video card (to manage big?)

    18.PNG

I also try to stimulate all the parameters of the application of the video card, as this not changed anything.

    14.PNG

    Perhaps I'm doing something wrong?

    19.PNG

Finally some of the system features:

    15.PNG16.PNG17.PNG

After some testing with Adobe Media Encoder, I also find it have the same problem here. Altroug I have to say

that videos have less lag then than others. Below you can see a video I selected, scroll left/right went not fast

    a lot of delay.

    20.PNG

Below the video details related to the above screenshot:

    22.PNG

I also know when to use Adobe Media Encoder, can I reduce file sizes and tear (the problem is resolved) a file of 4 GB is 800MB, which leads to a smooth roll of experience (in Adobe applications). But I was not planned (each time) to encode my videos before you can start editing.

Hope so here a solution to this problem, I hope someone can help me with this.

Thank you for your attention and support.

the reason why you can get good reading and move quickly in the video in vlc and other players of windows media, it is that they use the gtx 1070 to decode the file video h264. site Web of first says that he cannot do so with the graphics card intel iris and will not use your gtx 1070. to change/stimulate all 1070 gtx settings will not change anything with h264 decoding first. You should try to switch the hardware h264 decoding power on and off in settings of first, to see if there is a difference in performance. even if the first could use your HD Graphics 2000 in your i7-2600, it can not work properly as 4 k resolution h264 decoding has been added somewhere around 6th generation intel cpu. so you may need to have the h264 hardware decode setting off to avoid problems of compatibility and performance.

Since you can get good video performance on the single ssd with media players apart from the first, he suggests that the ssd is fast enough to play the video file and storage is not necessarily the problem. Depending on the workload and readers, a single ssd is 2-4 + times faster than a hard drive. so moving video files on a hard drive 7200 RPM can be a downgrade. you don't mention that you have converted the file to 4 GB, for the new size of 800 GB, but I guess it works better because of the format media, rather than reduced file size. people are used to having 3 to 5 drives for different tasks with first, but being much faster than the hdd, ssd, so it has reduced the number of disks required. a single sata ssd can be used for the os/pagefile/apps/cache and a second ssd for media projects.

You should compare the CPU and disk activity Manager tasks windows while playing and seeking / sail with the various files in the first. If the speed of the cpu tries to stick to 1.63 ghz instead of stay at 3.4 ghz, while playing and seeking media, you can change the power windows to high performance profile. If the CPU usage is high, it would not be able to decode h264 k 4 fast enough and transcoding can be better than the upgrade of the mbd/cpu/ram. You can use the new premiere pro ingest/proxy system for either new media make transcoded such as media cineform and/or agents in order to reduce the demand for the cpu in first. CineForm media should be able to use the gtx 1070 to help compensate for the cpu load. 32 GB of ram is plenty.

  • First laptop upgrade considerations.

I am considering a new laptop of not more than $1500 for w/color correction effects, if some first Pro CC video editing effects. I'll upgrade my current laptop that is about 5 years old, a Sony Vaio laptop, VPCF215FX, 6 GB of RAM, 16 "display, NVIDIA GeForce GT 540 M w/1 GB. A couple of years, I've replaced the internal HD with a Samsung 850 PRO 1 TB SSD. Here's what I'm thinking...

    1. Get a new system with minimal cost for SSD or HD and simply swap my existing owned 1 TB SSD when arrives the new system. This will save on the cost of SSD.

    1. As I get with 6 GB of RAM today, it is normal for me to go for only 8 GB or 16 GB maybe. Maybe if I get 8 GB, be sure that I can add 8 later if you wish.

    1. I currently have a 16 "display which is tight... should I therefore avoid 15" game systems, such as the Dell laptops... great prices their but they are only 15 "poster. The 17 "Dell Inspiron with processors that have less cache of what I see. ASUS has two systems of 17 "I found, noted below.

    I don't do 4K today, just 1080 p.

For the 17 "options, I see the following systems from ASUS...

    ASUS ROG GL752VW- DH74

    http://store.ASUS.com/us/item/201510AM170008067/A18486

(with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 M 4 GB)

    ASUS ROG G751JY- VS71 (WX)

    http://store.ASUS.com/us/item/201603AM300000146/A18486

(with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 M 4 GB)

I think that this last above G751JY allows a second HD so I can add the SSD. I don't think that the GL752VW has a second option of storage.

Is the NVIDIA 980 M good for first? I can't find it on any official Adobe recommended lists of GPUS.

I'm curious to know if you think I'm doing good considerations here? Don't forget, I'm not a pro, yet in any case user and 4K is not necessary... I have no 4 k doesn't equip, no plans for everything.  Thank you.

the gtx 980 m is overkill for your HD projects and the gtx 960 territory m is quite slow. the gtx 965 m would be nice, or the gtx 970 m if you plan to use a large number of gpu fx and lumetri color. the new series of 1000 gtx for laptops should be out in a month or two. they will be exaggerated to HD as well, but can help to reduce prices on the gtx 900 series mobile phones.

as you shop around to watch carefully for the i7 processor, it's the HQ model and not the u. the model U is half the speed, but is sometimes almost the same price as some of the cheaper models of HQ. I would try to get one with 16 GB of memory. If you get one with 8 GB with upgrade plans, you may need to check if the laptop comes with 1 stick of memory of 8 GB or 2 sticks of 4 GB. some laptops asus and msi have signs of fast to easily upgrade memory access and storage. You can download and watch manuals or videos of youtube for notebook computers that you plan to see what types of upgrades are possible.

I'd also look for a laptop that can hold two storage drives. one for os/apps and other media projects. some laptops have a small 128-256 GB ssd + hdd 1 TB, which would be good for the program installation and you would just swap hard disk of 1 TB for your ssd pro 850. You can also get a usb external 2.5 box "disc to activate the 1 TB hard drive in a storage/backup usb drive. You can use newegg for laptops of filter specifications as the processor i7, 16 GB of memory, screen size, models 965 m and 970 m, to quickly refine your search for laptop computers.

  • Can't get bitrate over 10 Mbit/s, please help!

Here's my question: exporting your video bitrate to the depends on the machine you use to export it. And this bitrate may vary depending on the performance of your machine (if it worked for a while, etc.) I explain the full situation below, but it is my main question.

I'm working on a video of a customer who has a second 30 and 60 second version. They submit you for a program that requires the video to have a throughput of at least 10 Mbps. When I export the 30 second version, we get about 10 400 kbit/s that works very well (the target bit rate is set at 11 Mbps). However, the 60-second version of the video (which is exact same video files like the 30 seconds, just longer), ends at a rate of 9 100 at the end of exporters (with a flow target 11).

Here are all my export settings:

Adobe first Pro 6 (not CC)

    H.264 format.

    1920 x 1080 demensions

    30 frames per second, progressive

    VBR 2 pass

    Target bitrate: 11 Mbps

Maximum flow: 11 Mbps (although I tried 15 and he always ended up about 9100 Kbps)

The audio is ACC, 430 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo.

Video files real, we are all created in AfterEffects, so I don't think that the problem of bitrate is on their part. Especially because it's the same files as the second version 30.

Almost looks like my computer can't handle that high of a bitrate for the rendering of 60 second so it goes down it. Is it possible? I use an ASUS ROG with a core i5 laptop and a Geforce GTX 660 M graphics card.

If anyone has any idea how I can get this 60 second video until at least 10 Mbps, that be great. I know the real quality between 9 Mbps and 10 Mbps per second important not that much, but the program literally won't let me download unless 10 Mbps.

Oh, quick update. I just tried to another 30 seconds video identical to that made to 10 Mbps before. This time, it reached only 7 Mbps. Is - it maybe my computer just needs to cool off?

I thank very you much for any help.

    Hi Curtis,.

You do not get your flow desired is because you export a VBR (variable bit rate) file. You are him giving a target of 11 Mbps bit rate, but you're saying the encoder to choose how to compress the images based on what analysis it is necessary. So a few things to note here:

    (1) 2-pass VBR means that your encoding will take twice as long as a VBR 1 pass. This is because the first pass is not encode anything. It analyzes the video and looking for frames that are more complex than others. This means that during the second pass encoding occurs actually, the encoder will know where to make a request for additional data / a sampling rate to executives who need it because it seemed to come already. So if you don't have a video with complex images that change or have a lot of fast moving, you should make 1 VBR passes a test, he'll cut your coding time in half.

    (2) which goes back to your problem... it isn't really a problem. The encoder is to do what asked you it to do, he compressed the frames to the desired target. Compression is all about the compromise of quality and file size (and encoding time). If you want a rate on a VBR file, then you need to increase your target and max. You can have a flow target of 10 Mbps and a maximum rate of 15 Mbps and the encoder will aim for an average of 10 Mbps, but go to 15 Mbps for more complex images.

    (3) another option is to spend your CBR (constant bit rate) encoding and give him a target of 10 or 11 Mbps. This means that each image will be encoded with the same amount of data. The drawback here is that your file will be larger, because your solid black frames, which require very little information to be displayed, will be exactly the same size frames with your 10,000 particles, polygons, layers or other form. The advantage of the VBR encoding is that the encoder will consider the black frames and say "hmm, this frame doesn't have a lot of things in it, so it shouldn't have as much data. But hey, this particle system has of course a lot of moving parts, I'd better throw some extra bits to him. »

And Yes, that is exactly how to talk the encoders.

  • Best laptop for Premiere Pro CC 2015?

    Hello

I have a good system in my homeoffice, but now I need a laptop too, for when I m working in another office in the city. I m in a bit of a hurry and have not caught up to lately on all new laptops and things, so I hope that some of you guys are going to give it a try and help me with this one ;-)

I already have a laptop old 4 year with only 4 GB of RAM and even if it was reasonable employment years in Photoshop CS4 etc it really doesn´t work for anything other than Word, and internetbrowsing more.

So I need a laptop that will be good, but not a portable workstation $ 10,000...

I mainly edit AVCHD files and nothing above 1080 50 p, but who knows if I have to deal with 4 K less than a year. The 4K is not a real dealbreaker - 1080 will be fine for a while, but I guess, as I mainly edit videos for use online. In addition, first, I use Indesign, Photoshop. Illustrator and Lightroom a lot.

As I have VM will be sitting in a small office with two other people, I really need a laptop computer that is not a lot of noise when idle or normal use (like photoshop, etc.) I can live with a little bit of noise during video encoding/export, but not while I'm edditing in first...

I thought about the ASUS ROG G751JT-T7018H - wich comes with 16 GB of RAM, 256 GB SSD + 1 TB of HARD drive / 7200 RPM,.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M - 3 GB of GDDR5 memory and love at first sight...

So the pricetag would be about $2500 I guess - Don t want to spend more. Anyone with experiences with this laptop - including noiselevel?

My question is (and these question are general issues - not only on the the ASUS mentioned above):

1 is 16 GB enough RAM - or 32 will make a huge difference? I don't see much improvements when I upgraded my office from 24 to 64 GB of RAM...

2 Geforce Wich xxxM cards should be avoided - if any? The 970M is supported?

3 wouldn't be better with a 1 TB drive SSD instead of 256 GB SSD + 1 TB HARD drive? Heat - and noisewise?

4 think I read somewhere that an external drive (RAID) with crush could speed up things - do smooth editing - any thoughts on love at first sight?

If you have any suggestions or experiences with Adobe CC running on any of the latest laptops from 2014/2015, please share them.

THX in advance - and sorry for the long post...

    See you soon

Well I'm not at all shocking in my family room with it when using the GPU or CPU for the full load running during benchmark PPBM very, but I would not compare to an office altogether.  But then how many times you'd see these extremes during a real edition session.when this is true almost completely silent and my use is current alternative 100% and I'm running the GPU for 50% memory overclocked clock.  It is a G750, I've not seen a G751 but I doubt they changed this aspect of the design.
