ENVY of HP dv6-7307tx: replacement of the HP ENVY dv6-7307tx laptop computer screen.
My HP ENVY dv6-7307tx laptop screen must be replaced because it has 3 vertical lines on the left side of the screen.
I need to know, what I'll be able to fix a screen full hd 1080 p instead of 720 p hd screen. I think its possible because both screens the 40pin connector.
I found a screen full hd with a connector 40pin here is the link (http://www.laptopscreen.com/English/model/HP-Compaq/ENVY~DV6-7202EG/)
And here's the 720 p screen which entered the laptop (http://www.laptopscreen.com/English/model/HP-Compaq/ENVY~DV6-7307TX/)
Please let know me if what im trying to do is possible or not.

Replace drive HARD system with Samsung EVO SSD 1 TB of HP ENVY 17 - j005tx laptop computer
Hi all
Wanting just a few tips on how to migrate and replace the system drive without having to reinstall everything again.
The Migration of Samsung tool work? When I check my HDD in the laptop there 5 partitions...
The HARD drive, I would like to replace a the following Partitions:
400 MB (Recover Parition)
260MO (EFI Partition)
904 GB (drive c :) - NTFS)
350 MB (recover Partition)
25.5 GB (drive D: Recover - NTFS drive)
According to the Samsung User Guide data Migration tool, he mentions the following:
http://www.Samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/MZ-7TE1T0BW
6 recovery OEM partitions, at the plant by computer makers, cannot be replicated. However, if the PC is manufactured by Samsung and SRS (Samsung Recovery Solution) 5 or 6 is installed, the recovery partition is automatically cloned. (Not supported in versions prior to SRS 5)
How can I migrate all recovery OEM as well as partitions C: and D: partitions?
Thanks in advance
Jim

I try the clone on the new drive and see if it works. If it isn't then you still have the original drive and nothing has been lost. Reported problems with the migration of Samsung software. Personally, I use Acronis True Image Home for cloning, and it is not.

Hi all, when I connect my HP DV6-3019wm laptop to my LCD TV Via HDMI and watch a movie, or stream Netflix, etc.
How to turn off the screen of the laptop, or close the lid on the laptop? Without arresting him. Is it possible to do it on the laptop, easy enough for watching movies on the TV, without spoiling all the other parameters? Parts perfect TV, but the picture is still on the laptop too, at the same time.
Also, when windows 7 on the laptop has all these popups down in the lower right corner, windows updates, screensavers of updates, HP Advisor, Hp etc. This will affect the movie as it is being read? or do I have to cut this kind of things? It would be a pain if I had to turn off all, in order to avoid the film interrupted by a reminder that there are available windows updates.
Thanks for any advice, help, etc.on this.
Ok thank you. Fixed

Can I replace HHD with SSD in G570 4334 laptop computer 43344JU
I have a laptop of Lenovo G570 4334 43344JU. It has a Pentium Intel B940 2.0 GHz processor,
Conditioning LGA1155, Chipset ID 1 49. And the HARD drive is a HITACHI 320 GB SATA II 2.5 INCH HTS543232A7A384.
Windows 7 Ultimate is installed on this computer.
I want to replace the HARD drive by an Intel SSD 240 GB. Is it possible to replace only the current with HARD drive
for example, an Intel 530 240 GB internal 2.5 inch Solid State Drive without changing the other hardware components such as the drive controller?
Hi lor1cal,
Welcome to the Forums.
Yes, it is possible to replace the stock 2.5 "SATA HDD to a 2.5" SATA SSD.
To put you on the SSD, you can:
1 clone stock HDD to the SSD with Paragon Backup & Recovery Home 12 (free trial) or:
2. perform a clean installation on the SSD using a Windows 7 bootable disc. If you do not have a bootable media and you only have a license key, you can get a Windows 7 ISO on this Web site. To create a bootable USB key, see this guide.
Hope this helps

Hello
This laptop is sold already with 12 GB of RAM. An upgrade to 16 GB is useless and that there should be a 128 SSD GB probably for the operating system. I don't think he needs any upgrade. However, memory module is compatible with your laptop.
Page 43 of this manual shows how to replace the module / remove the bottom cover.

Replacement screen for laptop computer screen HP 2000-240 ca
My laptop (HP 2000-240 ca) LED display screen was damaged, must be replaced by a new one. I checked at Amazon.ca, they sell a product like title, (new HD LED WXGA glossy 15.6 "replacement Laptop LCD screen for HP 2000-219DX 2000-239DX, 2000-355DX, 2000-365DX), which is priced at $ 59.97 with FREE shipping.
They also sell a product called (new HD LED WXGA glossy 15.6 "replacement Laptop LCD screen for HP 2000-240 CA, 2000 - 320CA, 2000 - 340CA, 2000 - 375CA), it would cost CA$ 94,12 more shipping (almost the double the previous).
I wonder, what is the difference between these two products?
Can I use the previous (priced at $59.97 with FREE shipping) for my laptop?
Thank you.

From what I understand is that all HP 2000 series have the same characteristics of Billboard and HP part number.
We are looking for a spare part with the part number of HP partsurfer Web site or online stores, so that we get the exact compatible part - ideal if we get a provided exactly HP - including stock with them online sellers.
No one can say if the part is actually authentic without you contacting the seller directly and confirms with the record and the part number.

f you have an LCD monitor you will need to know what is the native resolution (recommended); see the monitor documentation or visit the site of the manufacturer of the monitor to the specifications.
To change your screen resolution

Visit the computer manufacturer support site, and then search for updated video drivers for your specific computer model and version of Windows XP (family or professional edition) and for professionals either 32-bit or 64-bit (Windows XP Home Edition was available in 32 - bit).
If you have a dedicated graphics card 'map', visit the support site of manufacturers of card drivers for this specific video card and your version of Windows and so on.

Hard drive test failed on HP Pavilion dv6-1100eo laptop computer
I have a HP Pavilion dv6-1100eo Entertainment Notebook PC (P/N: NR597EA) with Vista 32 bit. Unfortunately no guarantees left in, and in general I was very satisfied with this laptop.
But suddenly Wondows would not start up - and it has yet to start Recovery hard disk partition. As I didn't know if this start was on hard drive or not - I ordered the DVD of recovery system for this version of Scandinavian language.
These discs didn't work - so I thought that I probably did not my homework before ordering these disks.
So I ran Diagnostics System (even if I have an older version of BIOS F.03). On the diagnostics - test hard drive fast and complete failed during the first 1% analysis.
Is there something that can be done - or is the only option new hard drive? In the case - the what hard drive is recommended is too cheap - because I don't want to invest too much in a book soon 3 year.
Recently I have bougth an external hard drive (1 TB) based on the USB connection. That allows bypassing the HD internal. In this way I would increase HD capacity and not invest more in this notebook - since I already have the recovery DVDs
It's probably a matter of time before I go buy a new HP laptop - that is why I don't want any long standing patch this problem.
Hello
Sorry to say, but you won't be able to install or boot from external HARD disk Vista, so if you need to get the workbook, you will have to replace the internal drive.
The player at the link below is an example of one that would be perfect for your laptop.
The procedure to replace the hard drive begins on Page 57 of your maintenance & Service Guide.
Once this is done, simply use your recovery DVD to reinstall the operating system on the new drive.
Kind regards
