Envy of HP TouchSmart m6-k125dx: Hp envy m6-k125dx replacement (PXO3XL) 715050-001 battery
Hi, I had recently a problem with my PC laptop battery.
What's happened is that someone fell by mistake an empty can of Insecticide on the PC, then stop any computer laptop. Now, the laptop will not charge and only works on current alternative.
"plugged in, not charging 0 per cent.
I tried many solutions I found in this forum, but none seem to work. I ran a check of the battery.
Primary Battery: Charge Capacity: 75% Warranty Type: 1 year Cycle Count: 58 Manufacturer: 13-42 Battery Age: 728 days Serial Number: 00119 12/04/2013 Temperature: 25 °C Design Capacity: 4450 mAh Full Charge Capacity: 3364 mAh Remaining Capacity: 0 mAh (0%) Current: 0 mA Battery Status: Peplace(42) FAILURE ID: PGC46J-6SJ7SG-PXL161-COBF03 Terminal Voltage: 10076 mV Design Voltage: 11400 mV Cell Voltage 1: 3608 mV Cell Voltage 2: 3231 mV Cell Voltage 3: 3237 mV Cell Voltage 4: 0 mV Status: 4ADO AC Power: Yes CT Number: 6DHSBN1RY5S1DX Secondary Battery: Unsupported
After a week now, the laptop doesn't recognize the battery.
I have now decided to buy a replacement for the battery and I can't seem to find a point of sale down here in Bayero University Kano (BUK) new, Kano, Nigeria.
I really need your help guys... It's really frustrating when your laptop runs only on current alternative.
Hey @sH4d0w41k3r,
This means that HP is out of stock for this part. But if you're looking for part number 715050-001 and include new, you should get something in your area.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.

Hello! I use this 15 t for a subject like a year-and-a-half. The corner of the battery holder (I don't know what you call... I can upload a photo if possible) is broken, which makes the battery rather loose. I wanted to know if you sell this as an accessory, or if there is a way to solve this problem.
Yes, they are called "base box plugs", and they are listed on page 46 of the manual here:

wrong display resolution ENVY of HP TouchSmart m6-k125dx Sleekbook
I just got a refurbished TouchSmart HP ENVY m6-k125dx Sleekbook. I can't put a 1366 x 768 resolution, but according to specifications, the native resolution is 1920 x 1080. I updated the graphic driver Intel HD and BIOS, but that did not help. Don't have HP possibly reinstall display incorrectly as part of the renovation?
Hello:
Yes, it is very possible events.
There are 3 display panels that can be used in the m6 series according to the maintenance manual, one of them having the resolution of 1366 x 768 is the production of your laptop.
See Chapter 1, page 1.
http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03935332.PDF
I suggest you contact the vendor that you bought the laptop from, or HP (if you got it directly from HP) and see what repair can be made.

Envy TouchSmart m6-k125dx: envy Touchsmart m6-k125dx msata support
I am wanting to install a 250 gb msata 200 mx crucial SSD but cannot know if this laptop supports an msata disc or not. I removed the bottom plate and I see an msata slot, but am not sure which will support the slot and the bios. Any suggestions? Thank you!
Here is the Service Manual:
See page 35. This model was sold with a mechanical hard drive a WSSD 24 concert as Accelerator Intel Rapid Storage or only with a hard drive of the WSSD 128 gigabytes. If there is a regular SATA in place, you cannot start the mssd, but you can start the mssd, if it's the only drive.
You could install the MSSD you chose, but it needs to be the only drive to the laptop to be used as boot drive. It also requires the oldest type of WSSD not type m2. There is no size limit practical other than what you can afford.

I ran all the standard tests. Black printing will produce only on cartridge color if used singularly. Print heads have been cleaned. Printer has updated its auto preset and no analysis of a printed item will be printed nor will be a printed document or the other. All prints have tried so far were in black ink. All worked perfectly until the change of the ink cartridge. Replacement cartridge used was a standard 301 HP black cartridge.

HP ENVY - m7-k211dx: replaced HD with SSD again, impossible to install network drivers
Hello
HD on HP ENVY m7-k211dx not dead, no recoverable data. Figured why not install an SSD so replaced by a new Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB.
Note: I have built many computers to office since the Pentium 4 days, consider myself as an amateur
Installed Windows 7 Pro 64 bit without any problems (after activating the suport inherited in BIOS)
Downloaded all the drivers from the HP site and copied on DVD
Record fell with drivers on the desktop
installed the chipset driver sp73543.exe, restarted everything is fine
Installed USB driver sp70645.exe, restarted everything is fine
Then tried to install two network drivers downloaded for this laptop specific to HP for LAN and Wireless support Web site:
RTL8723BE/RTL8188EE Realtek 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Drivers -sp69888.exe
Realtek LAN (LAN) driver -sp68120.exe
First tried to LAN, Ran exe, checked the license agreements, etc. and it started to install, after a few seconds and error message pops up:
"FindFile failed.
After the closure of this pop-up a new error message:
"Realtek network controller is not found. If deep sleep Mode is activated Please cable.
Then tried wireless installation, after that starting exe command winow popped up a few seconds showing:
"Please wait for the installation.
close the window after a few seconds, nothing after that
After trying several times to install drivers with the same exact results I went by the process of reinstalling Windows and go thru the pilot again installation process with the exact same reslts. Downlaoed new drivers with same accurate results
Clues as to what may happen?
Thank you and my apologies for the wall of text
Hello:
Normally the ethernet driver will install if you do not first install the chipset driver. Since you've done, it's a good question, why you notification of deep sleep.
Try the driver ethernet directly from Realtek and see if it works... 3rd driver on the list.
Wireless should be easier to correct... parts list indicates that your laptop comes with an Intel 7260 AC wireless network adapter.
I see no W7 wireless or bluetooth drivers listed for this card on the HP website for your laptop, so use the latest Intel.
Wireless: 64-bit is the 2nd file on the left side of the Web page.

Envy 15 K2T37AV: Replace digitizer for Envy 15-Instructions and void the warranty?
I dropped my computer a few days ago from cracking of the digitizer, but not the LCD screen. The display still works, and I'm debating whether to pay to fix it or just do it myself or ask at a local store to do. My questions are:
(1) do I have to dissect your laptop to replace the digitizer, or y at - it a simple way to just pull the digitizer off the LCD display and replace it?
(2) in doing so void my warranty? Especially if I don't really have to unscrew anything, and given that the display is not covered by the warranty anyway, if it voids the warranty on everything else?
(3) if I go with it, what is the model number of the digitizer and are there instructions I could follow?

HP ENVY 14-2054se replacement hard drive recommendations
Hello
I have a HP ENVY 14-2054se Beats edition laptop and I get the error message 'Abstract DST impossible' to start test. I was about to ring HP but I checked my Bill and my warranty expired 3 weeks ago!
I am myself kicking because he always had a guarantee of the week on this subject when I got the error "Short DST Failed". (I took pictures of the screen to save the ID of failure, what do I know! ), But he was completely frozen and took me days so he could get up, saved everything, reloaded windows twice and still does not solve the problem AND NOW I AM out of WARRANTY! Other messages here, I see that I need a new HD.
I was wondering if someone could recommend a replacement HD for it (make and model)?
* the current (which is a failure) is a 1 TB SAMSUNG-HN-M101MBB (I'm not the same because it's a failure in less than a year);
* I need at least a replacement for 750Go
Thank you!
HP Envy 14-2054se
Product #: LW400UA
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel Core i7-2820QM
8GB memory
1 TB HD - SAMSUNG-HN-M101MBBHello
No problem
The advantage is that you will get a little better performance of a disk of 7200 RPM, the downside, is a little more heat produced (although minimal) and a little less time when running on the battery.
Kind regards

HP ENVY 15-k009ne: replacement of SSD for ENVY 15-k009ne
Hey there everyone.
I would like to know if it is possible to replace the hard drive installed SSD (8 GB) on my Hp envy 15-k009ne. The problem is that he is very much in quality and appear to be limited to the default files of hp. I have a few questions:
1. is it possible to replace? If not, is it possible to replace the other hard drive (1 TB, 5400 RPM)?
2. What size (actual size and capacity, I mean) or number/model should I buy?
Thank you.
PS sorry if this is a recurring question. I must be sure before that I could buy another SSD drive which is quite expensive!
The specifications of your laptop do not indicate that you have an SSD. You may have a hybrid drive that has a cache of flash 8 GB built-in player for faster access, but this isn't a separate volume that holds its own files, just a different part of the reader. HP sold never, to my knowledge, laptops with an 8 GB SSD. You probably also a HP recovery partition on your hard drive. According to the specifications, the hard drive only your machine is a 1 to 5400 RPM mechanical hard drive standard.
See p. 66 of the manual here:
Unfortunately, access to the hard drive Bay is very difficult and forbidden to an end user. In other words, it will jeopardize the warranty. If you are past the warranty and want to remedy let us know. You can replace the mechanical drive with a 2.5 inch SATA SSD and your laptop will be much faster if you do. There is also a slot of the WSSD m2 on the laptop, to complicate things more, but use it to add a SSD and boot of it is even more difficult. Have any kind of SSD in laptop computer that is not the boot drive make not much sense. However, if you want to explore the option of WSSD m2 we are here to help.

HP ENVY 17-j101ex - replace the SSD HARD drive
Hello
I have HP ENVY 17-j101ex, with the standard configuration: 2 x 1 TB drive HARD 5400 RPM SATA. I want to buy 1 SSD drive and replace the first (boot) hard disk drive. I don't know if it works or not.
I want to buy a SSD Samsung 840 EVO 250 GB SATA III (MZ-7TE250BW), 2.5 ", dimensions: 100 x 69 x 7 mm
I have to: 1 x 1 TB HARD drive (as a secondary drive) + 1 x 250 GB SSD SATA3 (as your startup with system disk)
Is this ok?
I found some info, that:
Supports a 6.35 cm (2.5 in) 300 GB or 160 GB SSD (SSD) drive in 7, 0 - mm (. 28 - in.) thick
Supports 6.35 cm (2.5 in) hard disks to 12.7 mm (. 50-in) and a height of 9.5 mm (. 37 - in)
Is it not this Samsung SSD too big?
I also found information on envy 17 series, which:
Supports the following single hard drive/solid-state drive combination configurations: ● 1-TB, 5400-rpm, 12.7-mm hard drive × 1 + 300-GB solid-state drive
and also:
NOTE: Supports RAID-0 as default for all dual hard drive/solid-state drive combination configurations.
So, first of all should I disable RAID-0?
Thank you for your help and sorry for my English
In fact, I have the same model laptop PC series. You will have no problem replacing the mechanical main hard drive with an SSD. The Evo to Samsung 250 Gig is a very good choice. I suggest you get cloning software, put the SSD in the second slot, start from cloning software and copy (clone) the startup disk for the SSD. You'll slim down the contenst of the diskette of starting less than 250 concerts to achieve, but you can store files off to the second disk of 1 TB in the process. There are other ways to do this post if you have any questions.
Here is a video showing how to install the hard drive.
https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=wx3dMGXrGCc
RAID-0 is supported, but you wouldn't want as a second hard drive with an SSD. If your readers are appearing as volumes of letters separated in 'the PC' or 'Computer' then RAID-0 does not exist and you shouldn't have to do any disorder in the BIOS.

HP ENVY x 2 CTO 11 t-g100: HP ENVY x 2 replacing the WiFi card
Hi, I want to improve my HP ENVY x 2 CTO 11 t-g100 Wi-Fi card «Intel wireless 7620-N"to «Intel wireless 7620-AC»
"Intel wireless 7620-AC" will be acceptable to use, or should I try a new?
I have improved my Split X 2 map of 7260-ac and it works perfectly. No problem with WiFi or Bluetooth. I guess that the envy of X 2 will be fine with the upgrade as well.
