Envyh 5530: UPDATE @ SHUT DOWN PROBLEM

Whenever we CLOSE our computer, the following message is displayed.

If please do not turn off or unplug your machine

Update 1 of 1

This started after we tried to install a printer HP Envy 5530 [1]. Could not get the printer to work even with the help of HP. Eventually we returned to the printer, but we still have the problem of "update".

The snapshot of the update history that follows clearly shows that the problem is related to the HP Envy 5530.

Hewlett-Packard - Company WSD multifunction printer, other materials - Null Print - series HP ENVY 5530 failed

We spent hours and hours on several different days with HP Support (case # [personal information deleted]) trying to solve this problem. HP technician has been given access to our computer remotely, but as show update history, there's always.

Just as we ended the last session with HP, it was suggested that the problem may be with the Windows Update software.

Help

THIS "UPDATE" ISSUE SHOULD BE RESOLVED

[1] replacement for a HP 1210 psc who died.

Finally solved! Unfortunately we cannot tell someone how it was solved, because it took a Technical Support level 2 HP representative to fix it. Had to give him remote access to our computer, and even then it took quite some time to finally get rid of the problem 'Update'.

Although it took a long time, we appreciate the time and the HP effort put into it.

I have a Sony VGN-AR51SU laptop which has Vista Ultimate preloaded when it was purchased. The windows product key is noted on the underside of the computer.

The computer is configured to close, either by closing the lid or will the icon start then shut down. I don't remember which option I used to shut down the computer.
However when I press the power button the computer immediately emits three short beeps. The hard disk icon flashes as if it is starting, but the LCD display remains black and never even a blue screen comes. Devices powered by the computer the light upward.
Eventuallu the hard drive icon will stop blinking.

I tried all the options to remove lead AC and battery close and all devices, then re-boot just on AC power or battery or any combination of these options, etc etc etc and nothing makes a little difference.

  • Windows 10 sleep and shut down problem bootcamp

Hi can you please help me

I am running windows 10 pro 64-bit os, generation 10586.71 on my I mac end 2012 27 inches

When I stopped my connected USB device which has a led indicator remains steady. I think it means that it is not turned off properly. To stop it completely, I have to hold the power button after.

Also when I put my mac to sleep, when I move the mouse or press any key on the keyboard, the screen comes on. Do I have to do is press the power button. Also when I do this, I hear the fans turn on, but I'm not sure if this is normal or not.

However, when I click on restart, which normally occurs

    There is also another concern

When I turn on my mac, when it is activated at startup of windows by default, until I see the windows logo, I see a black screen and at the top left a flashing dashboard white, similar to when your terminal on windows. It then goes on the windows logo.

After that, he goes on the screen to login as usual, but even here, I have to wait for my mouse to connect, if I have no idea if this is a common problem

so once I have connected until I see the Office for a PIN second I see an orange please wait screen, I don't think color matters as it used to be blue when my windows theme was blue until I customized it to orange

even when I see the windows logo after the black screen with the dashboard, here the scroll wheel has lagged.

and when I turn on my computer it sometimes takes quite a long time to go in the logon menu. and a few days ago I received an error message saying that I had to restart.

I had windows 10 on boot camp on Monday, January 18, 2016, so about two weeks ago.

  • Windows 7 system crashes so that the installation of updates, not shut down

I've upgraded to Windows 7 using a disc of Microsoft; Windows Update started downloading the updates.  Now it will not shut without doing it manually.  If there are 5 updates, it may hang on the update 4.  Then, after much cleaning in safe mode, etc, it will work perfectly, but hang in there 'shutting down '.  even if left overnight.

You receive errors related to updates?

    1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button, all programs and then click Windows Update.
    2. In the left pane, click view update history.
    3. Find an update for Windows that has failed to install, and then double-click the update to view more information.
Updates that have failed to install will display failed under status, next to the name of update.
    4. In the Windows Update dialog box, next to the details of the error, review the error code for the update has failed.

Follow the links in the Windows Update dialog box under more information or help and Support to resolve the problem, then try to reinstall updates by using Windows Update in Control Panel or by mail with the error code and maybe someone may be able to help others.

  • Updates the window appear when shutting down, but do not set up the next time you start

The display shows 15 updates of Windows are loaded (installed?) when the machine is stopped.  To restart Windows, the screen indicates "wait" while the updates are being configured.  The icon indicates that the configuration is current, but the screen always said that "0% are completed.  Then, after a few minutes, the screen indicates something as "installation failed; Revenant.  After the message 'return', the machine moves to the usual Windows 7 start page and asking to connect you as usual (which allows me to work on the machine).   So, the next time I shut down Windows, the screen indicates that the installation of several updates continues and is completed in series.  Then, the next time I turn on the machine it asks to wait while updates are configured;  and finally, it "fails to complete the configuration" and "resets" as described above.  What happened several times in the last two days.  What should I do to get this resolved failure?

    Hi BonnieDoon,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. you receive error message during the update by installing the process?

    Method 1

See the Microsoft article below as well as try the steps mentioned and check if it works.

The update is not installed successfully, you receive a message, and the computer restarts when you try to install an update in Windows Vista and Windows 7

    Method 2

Restart the computer after you follow the steps above and check if the problem persists, if the problem persists then checks the update is not being properly installed on the computer and then install it manually.

View update history to know which update is not installing.

    (a) open Windows Update by clicking Start , all programsand then click Windows Update.

  • The computer hangs at "Shutting Down... "only after the installation of the updates for Vista Ultimate x 64 Windows

Hello.  Recently, I have reinstalled the 64 bit version of Windows Vista Ultimate on my computer.  I allow all automatic updates (worth about 450MO) and let it do its thing.  Afterwards, I had to reboot my computer.  He was going smooth until he hit the "Configuring updates... "or something like that.  The circle stopped going around smooth and pauses every second or two.  After about 30 minutes, he went to "Shutting down...". "and I let this go all night.  After 4 p.m., he was still at "Shutting down...". "therefore I kept the button and made a closed hard.  After that I started it up, it would get to the loading screen with the green bars that go everywhere.  It also was not smooth and stopping every second or two.

After about 10 minutes of this, I restarted my computer again, and it still wouldn't work.  I tried to start in safe mode, but it would also stop during the loading of some drivers and not continue.  So I reinstalled Vista again and, of course, was able to get without updates.  I thought it may have been a one time thing, so I did the windows updates again.  This problem repeated itself.  So I reinstalled Vista and am refraining from doing the updates of windows.

I restarted my computer without updates, and it goes well.  It is only after updates where it fails to turn it off and save.  No one knows what is the problem and if there is a solution to this?

  • "A problem has been detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer"... * STOP: 0x0000007e (0x805c49b8, 0xf7a172b4, 0 x 80000003, 0xf7a16fb0)... blue screen

    Hello!

For the life of me I can't figure out how to get my machine to boot successfully. Nothing changes when I choose Safe Mode, last known good Configuration, enable VGA Mode, booting, Directory Services Restore Mode or Debug Mode logging.

It's very stressful, because I'm right smack dab in the Middle a semester at the College. I have most of what I currently need access to supported illuminates... but not quite all :( It is also very reassuring to be able to take care of the school of work away from the library of the University. Yesterday, my computer was working fine... I think that Windows has completed an update, if I can't remember now. As I woke up this morning, I was not able to boot all the way to Windows only once.

My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv6000 running XP Media Center, and I have not installed new hardware since I bought the machine about 3 years ago.

Here are more details, where they can help in the diagnosis of my problem:

    • ID of the system board: 30BB
    • Type of processor: Genuine Intel(r) CPU T2250
    • Processor speed: 1730 MHz
    • Total memory: 1024 MB
    • Video memory up to: 128 MB
    • BIOS version: F.06

Here's the entire message to the blue screen:
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Make sure you have enough disk space. If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video cards.

Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS. Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select Safe Mode.

    Technical information:

    STOP: 0X0000007E (0X805C49B8, 0XF7A172B4, 0 X 80000003, 0XF7A16FB0)
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I also learned to a blue screen that says something about "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA". I think that this happens when I try to start safe mode.

Also, I never did much with computer problems beyond what could be repaired with the restoration of the system... so not being is not able to boot at all me has to stop. Please, I beg you! Help me?!

With great appreciation for your time,.

    Quick suggestion

Some HP partition the hard drive. have you tried to type F11 or F12 during startup (before that he go to the option mode start screen)? It might take you for a HP recovery program in that partition (because windows don't be loading not to use that recovery)

  • How to solve the problems of windows 10 shut down (power, lighting the keyboard is always on)?

    Nice day

How to solve the problems of windows 10 shut down (power, lighting the keyboard is always on)?

with regard to my question above. I need to hold the button of power for 5 seconds to completely shut down my laptop. even restart or sleep does not work well. I upgraded a real victory 8.1 to 10 free victory by that windows app reservation offered. IM using acer aspire v5 - 573 g i7, version gt750m, Finnish keyboard

solutions, I tried to random searches that did not work for me.
1 unchecking quick stop to power options
2 disabling hibernation in cmd (types a code forgot what I have)
    3. update all drivers and bios with sites acer official drivers, driver pack solution 15.8 and utility driver update intels
4 decommissioning intel management engine components driver 11 to 9.5
    5. go to the bios and reset to the default settings
    6 make a shortcut of "shutdown" with codes e.g. shutdown /s /t 0
    7. click Update stop

IM thinking of reinstalling windows 10 via recovery which removes applications, files, drivers, etc. and hope this solves. I can't roll back to win 8.1 because ive done this reset before you completely clean out my system of win random 8 and trashes the restore option was gone.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello/Hallo wuschel93,

exactly what I had. Stop number appears only after a certain time the laptop running.

The problem is INTEL MANAGEMENT ENGINE RELATED V.11!

I fixed it with uninstall Intel Management Engine Version 11. Windows will then install version 9.5 automatically. After that I turned off the automatic update of the driver for this device. You can also install 9.5 without uninstalling the old one, it wil crushed.

Other manufactures also have this problem, but while Acer is still asleep, they provide a solution (including download links):

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-operating-systems-and-software/sleep-and-shutdown-issues-after...

Maybe there are any other issues that result in the same problem. But in most cases, it's the answer. The thread Starter maybe forgotten to disable the automatic driver update or made installation of v9.5 evil?

    Hi jjackbcop,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are facing the issue with windows updates offer several times over and over again.

    Method 1:

I suggest you perform the clean boot and check.

Place the computer in a clean boot state, then check if it helps. You can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow these steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup of the link report section to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfig and click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    (e) when you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

    Method 2:

I suggest you send the link and check (this also applies to windows XP).
