    Hi @JNBLanocha

My stomach says mt that perhaps you have the printer USB cable connected to a USB 3.0 port on your computer instead of a 2.0 port. The image below is some examples of 3.0 ports.

3.0 ports are supposed to be backwards compatible, but I've seen questions arise.

    I wonder if the cable you are using is the computer and causing problems pulling power. All I can do at this stage is to assume and to gather information. Please post back with the answers to the following questions;

    1. You have a USB connection
    2. If the USB is connected, you use a 2.0 port or 3.0?
    3. Again, if you use a USB connection type, have you tried another USB cable? It could be a cable problem.
    4. You put XP or you remove XP and install Windows 7?
    5. You have your printer connected directly to a power outlet, or you are using a power strip/bar, or a surge protector?
    6. Now this may sound silly, but you have a timer on your computer, such as the hibernate after so many minutes and maybe the computer and the printer are set at the same, it is possible the moment closures / sleep coincide.

I look forward to hear from you and to work towards a solution.

  • ALL-IN-ONE PHOTOSMART HP 5510 WILL NOT PRINT AFTER GO 'SLEEP' MODE

    My printer model:

    HP PHOTOSMART ALL-IN-ONE 5510 B111A

    Problem:

Printer goes into sleep mode. After 25-30 minutes breaks the connection between the PC and the printer wireless. Beacon wireless is the same fashionable "sleep" and I see that the printer is connected to my router and there is internet connection. HP Print and Scan doctor sees the printer, but I can't wake the printer unless I restart it.

    What I've tried so far:

I tried all the solutions offered hp.com; Reinstall driver, updating the printer software, setting static IP on the printer, static DNS servers, using HP print and Scan doctor.

I've seen people questioned on this issue before and there is no solution. I really need help from HP!

After days of research, the problem was finally solved! I applied the following steps below. Some steps may be unnecessary, I didn't waste my time knowing who.

    1. find your PC's DNS servers by typing ipconfig/all in CMD.
    2. assign a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For my Linksys router him between 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.150. So I put my static IP address as 192.168.1.20.

To do this, click the button on your printer wireless. This will show the IP address of your printer. This type of your browser. Go/network/network address. Choose manual IP and write 192.168.1.20

3 now come to section of the manual DNS server, and then type your DNS servers, you found before.

    4. open your HP printer program that must be installed with your driver. Utilities hit and update the IP address. Update your address with your static IP address.

    5. now go to your router settings. Find the wireless settings and change your not automatic standard 20 MHz radio band.

    6. change your standard channel to 6.

7 find the wireless security and replace your WPA-personal security mode.

    8 disable UPnP

    9. This is the part of the KEY. Change the renewal of your key to 36000 seconds. (10 hours)

10 go to the Windows Advanced Firewall. Enable all the disabled printer and share, entrants and outbond rules.
I believe that the most important parts are affecting a static IP address outside your DHCP-range and change the key renewal time. I hope this works for you too

  • My email ePrint works but the printer is not visible from my account management

I have not used the management related to my Photosmart B110a recently. When I need to adjust the settings today my connection attempt was intercepted and I was moved to the 'new' system. I was asked to create a new password that allows me to connect, but my printer is not related to the account.

This means that I can't manage it. The e-mail address accepts documents for printing and prints on the printer, but I now need to add new addresses of e-mail senders.

How can I regain control of the management of my printer?

I deleted my print printer wireless settings and added. Disappointed but time is too important. In general a superstar HP - thank you.

  • HP OfficeJet 3830: 3830 HP wireless printer is offline in "sleep mode" and don't wake up to print

I've just set up a HP OfficeJet 3830 as a printer connected to my network wireless domestic (Airport Extreme Base Station router 802.11ac wireless). I was able to print-out of my MacBook, but when the printer goes into sleep mode, it appears offline and unresponsive to print. I have to restart the printer for her to appear online and respond. The printer will be in the basement, so it would be very inconvenient down to reboot just to print it. Kind of defeated the purpose of a wireless printer. I tried to disable the sleep mode to see if it works, but sleep mode settings cannot be disabled in the printer preferences. I already spent 3 hours to solve this problem.

I contacted HP technical support to solve the problem. The person told me restore default settings and then unplug the power to the printer and the router wireless for 30 seconds. After restarting the router, then the printer, we have connected the printer to the network with a static IP address. Who did the trick. Even if the printer is in "sleep" for several hours, it has not disappeared in offline mode, as it is done before. Problem solved for now. Hope this helps others.

  • Re: Officejet 6500 has more - printer goes to sleep, wakes.

    Hello

Location: HP Officejet6500A more - new iMac 27 "with Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) - new driver installed OK HP - printer is connected via USB and I turned off the power on the printer wireless.

After that full power on the work of the printer scans well, work, fax work - but what printer goes to sleep "indicated by the power LED flashes slow" I can't wake him again when sending a new print job - I need to do a full power off/on power by removing the power cable.

When the printer is "asleep" utility printer HP cannot connect until I do a power full printer deactivation / activation.

While the printer is in standby, pressing the flashing slow power switch / light has no effect to wake up the printer, only a full power/turn off works.

I could not find info on the led slow blinking power manual?

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you

    Hello

Thanks for the post.  With this one, I recommend following the steps listed in the link below.  Make sure you are plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a power strip or conditioner.  Good luck!

  • Sound stops working after sleep mode in Windows 7

I just installed Windows 7, map its Xonar HDAV 1.3 Slim, ASUS M4a78 Pro motherboard with processor image ASUS.  Works fine until it goes into sleep mode.  When he wakes up, the sound does not work.  When I test different devices, the sound bar saves the output, but no sound appears.  Update BIOS and drivers and that didn't help.  All system sounds and sounds MCE or anything like that do not work until I restart.  I saw the patches for this problem in Vista, but it will not yet install in my computer because I have Windows 7.  Thanks for any help!

Install the latest Windows 7 compatible sound and display drivers.

  • Photosmart 7520: Sleep Mode failure

I have connected my 7520 Fax item and run the report of Test of Fax with Pass at each event.  The printer goes into Sleep Mode it almost immediately turns back.   When I disconnect the telephone line from the printer, the problem goes away and Sleep Mode works correctly.  Any ideas?

Resolved - traded filter broadband ADSL with another taken.

  • Monitor intermittently do not wake from sleep mode

I have a new Pavilion 500 - 205t Windows 7 Desktop (two weeks).  Two days earlier, after the computer is in mode 'sleep', the computer would wake up, but the screen would not.  I contacted HP Support and they said not to put the computer in mode 'sleep', but to turn it off instead.  They said that the computer could accumulate a static charge which could prevent the monitor to wake up from sleep mode.  Their solution was to force a shutdown by pressing the power switch, unplug at the back of the Tower, by pressing the power switch for 20 seconds, plug everything back in and then turn on the computer.  The monitor worked correctly then wake up from sleep mode.  For the last two days, the computer would wake properly from sleep mode.  Today, the same thing happens again.  This time, I turned off the computer and then he turned back to (without unplugging everything) and the monitor worked correctly.

    Here's my question:

Is it really a static problem? (It has been cold and dry here for several weeks and static is high)  Or I have a hardware problem or software that needs to be fixed?  Thank you for your time.

I think I found the solution to this problem for my computer.  I changed the settings for sleep or sleep 'Hybrid' or 'Hibernate' is allowed.  Since then, I have not experienced the problem.  I also changed what does the power button, so that when I press the power button, the computer shuts down normally.  This prevents a "forced" shutdown if the problem happens again.

Thanks again Bill, for your time.  I mark this problem is resolved.

  • Re: Disable sleep mode

Hi I have the same problem.

My printer always goes to sleep and not wake up when printing.

Touch the power button then triggers a stop after which I have to restart the printer.

Accordingly, I am close and turn on my printer every 20 minutes!

My printer is a HP Officejet Pro 6830 and configured as a printer network via an ethernet cable.

The printer belongs to an Active Directory domain with a fixed IP address.

So, it seems that this configuration matches your previous answer to which the initiator of this discussion seems to not have answered.

Hope you can provide a solution

I see that you are connected to the network via a wired connection. There is a problem with the settings or firmware. Follow the steps below to see if we can determine the cause.

Disable IPV6 in front panel of the printer menu:

    1. Configuration menu
    2. Network configuration
    3. Advanced settings
    4. IPv6, select Disable.
    5. Restart the router and the printer.
    6. Enable the printer to go to sleep.
    7. Once the printer is in sleep mode, tap the screen to wake up the printer.
    8. What were the results?

NOTE: If you receive an error message that wireless is disabled when you use a wired connection, temporarily, unplug the ethernet cable and repeat the steps above.

    If the problem persists, continue.

Restore the original network the printer settings

    1. In the printer control panel, press Setup.
    2. Select Network Configuration.
    3. Support on restore network settings.
    4. A message appears indicating that the default values of the network will be restored. Tap Yes. Disconnect the ethernet cable.
    5. Print the network configuration page and check the network settings have been reset.
    6. Now, let the printer go to sleep.
    7. Tap the screen to wake up the printer.
    8. What were the results?

If the problem persists, try this reset and wait for sleep mode kick.

Restore the printer to the original configuration of the constructor

    1. In the printer control panel, press Setup.
    2. Touch the printer Maintenance.
    3. Support on restore.
    4. Support on restore defaults.
    5. A message appears indicating that the default values will be restored.
    6. A message appears indicating that the default values of the network have been restored. Support on restore.
    7. What were the results?

If the problem is resolved, there was a glitch or Eco setting interfere.

If the problem persists, upgrade the firmware of the printer.
What operating system do you use?

Depending on what operating system you run, click here to find the update of the firmware.

If all else fails, I recommend that we do semi full Reset. I can send you this information in a private message. In the forum next to your handle name simply click on the envelope to see.

  • Continue to application play when the device goes into sleep mode

    Hey guys,.

wondering if anyone knows how to maintain an active application when the unit goes into fashion watches?

My application needs continue to work when the device goes into sleep mode if he went in that State by itself, or if the user put it to sleep.

Yes I tried it on a physical device. It works, I promise you

To clarify, here is what you will see when using KEEP_AWAKE:

1 device shall not sleep when the application is currently active

    2. the device shall not sleep if the application is reduced, and you are in mode carousel

3 device WILL sleep if the user switches to another application and full screen.

In addition, another thing to know, if the unit is not assigned to the showcase mode, which is not by default, the audio stops when the user leaves your app. This is not related to sleep and is totally out of our control, but could be a good thing to add to your product details.

  • Communication between HP eprint and Google Cloud Print

    Hello

communication between HP eprint and Google Cloud Print seems to be broken. At least for me.

Documents to print when I print vio Chrome browser or Cloud Print dashboard - but the State in the clouds print remains "submitted". It seems that somehow the HP eprint status doen't get referred to cloud print. In HP eprintcenter paper says "printed".

Well, I wonder who will take care of this problem...  (Hope this does not lead to fingerpointing only...)

    Thanks for your support!

    Best,

    George

Started more work, a few weeks ago. All is well now. Don't know who that sets well.

  • How can I get the ePrint android app to print on the correct printer?

My home network is a HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909 connected to the network wired (not wireless), and which is NOT active ePrint (I understand it does not support ePrint).

The network also has a HP OfficeJet 7500 has yet once connected to the network by wire (not wireless) and what ePrint IS activated.

Both printers are on my network 192.168.1.x behind a router, but not a proxy with separate IP addresses.

If I send a print by the 7500 ePrint a email address, he goes out on the printer correct (7500).

But If I print using the HP ePrint home & Biz Android app that shows to the 7500 a print out immediately on the 8500 - the incorrect printer. The app shows the type of printer as 8500, although she still bears the name of 7500 a correct.

    So I have 3 questions:

    1. How could I get the ePrint initiated by app printed to reach the 7500 a?

I like the idea that it is possible to reach the 8500 and 7500 a remotely (when I discovered ePrint after buying the 7500 a I checked if the 8500 supported that to find it does not work). But, if I wanted to keep accidental remote printing to the 8500 then...

    1. How can I print on the 8500 email? (Remember, emailed still prints go to the 7500).
    2. How can I add the 7500 a the ePrint application so that I can print to the 7500 a still without disturbing the current app ePrint printer that prints to the 8500?

Thanks for the tips you may have.

    Kevin

Hi, I would like to try and answer your questions to the best of my ability:

    1. How could I get the ePrint initiated by app printed to reach the 7500 a?

With the printed file you want displayed in the app, you must see the details of the printer at the bottom of the screen on your device. If the printer you want to print to is not presented, you can press the arrow to the right of the name of the printer and then select the printer at the top of the next screen. It will automatically search and find printers available on your network. Choose the printer you wish to print and it will update the printer selected at the time of printing. I've included a few screen shots of what it will look like

    1. How can I print on the 8500 email? (Remember, emailed still prints go to the 7500).

Unfortunately, it is not possible to print on the 8500 email. The printer must have the ability of ePrint in order to be able to do this.

    1. How can I add the 7500 a the ePrint application so that I can print to the 7500 a still without disturbing the current app ePrint printer that prints to the 8500?

See the answer to the first question

If this does not solve your problem you can try to install the HP Home Network Diagnostic Utility tool to check that nothing is wrong with your network printers

  • LaserJet 4250 iOS Android: Eprint works from iOS, but not Android for 4250.

    Here's the scenario.

I have an ipad and and 4 Galaxy both attached to the wireless company. There are 2 ethernet attached on the same local network printers. 1 is a 4250 and the all-in-one and another 8600. Two mobile devices have installed eprint.

The iPad print two printers simply by specifying the IP address.

The Android device prints to the 8600, but give an "Oops!" -The printer does not exist or you do not have access to this "message after the IP specification.

The printer firmware is updated to the most recent and all protocols are enabled. There is no set of security.

I'm trying to print at 4015 returns the same error opps in the Galaxy.

There must be a difference in application between Apple and Google, or I forget something.

    Hello

The Laserjet 4250 is not supported by the HP ePrint app, although it can run on iOS to make it work for any printer that is not officially suipported by the app there is no guarantees.

The application is completely different and work differently on iOS compating Android app.

You can find any printer supported below:

    http://support.HP.com/lt-en/document/c03722645

If you have a Kitkat or a later version, you can try to use the Android build in solution, install the Plugin from HP Service of the store and check whether that can allow printing to the 4250:

  • Fingerprint reader not working not not upon awakening from sleep for the windows login

    Hello
I have a new T540P with a validity fingerprint reader.

About 80% of the time, the fingerprint reader does not meet the windows login screen after the wake up the computer from sleep mode. It works 100% of the time when starting from a stop position, however. Once connected, it also works 100% of the time. The question arises when you log in to windows.

    I tried many things

-uninstallation/installation of the device in the Device Manager and finger print manager pro software

-prints of setting through two fingerprint Manager software pro (lenovo) OR through the windows built in options of the control panel of the fingerprints

-disabling "allow windows to turn off this device to save power" in Device Manager.

Thus, I must say that I have an another T540P I ordered as a replacement. Both models encounter the same problem.

Is it a matter of broad platform affecting all models of T540P? It's frusterating.
