• Equium A100 - 147 PSAABE - Win7 PVAT error

  Hello all, I hope someone can help.

  My A100-147 was supplied with XP as an operating system. I just did a clean install of Win7 Professional 32-bit. All necessary system drivers have been installed the disk during installation, with the exception of the Flash Media, as there was no Win 7 drivers listed for her [here: http://www.toshiba.co.uk/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=UK&mode=allMachi nes & action = search & teddProduct = 695 & selShortMod = 476]

I thought the Toshiba Value Added Package 1.2.40 would fix this but I get an error when I try to install it. Installation error PVAT. 0x8146045B I also tried the plu PVAT 1.2.28 but she also creates errors.

  It's always a bit difficult to get an old books with new BONE. I checked the Toshiba download page and many drivers, tools and utilities are available for your laptop model.

  According to my experience of software (such as 0x8146045B) errors is not easy to fix, and I got it long with Toshiba power saver. Only way to get rid of it was to reinstall OS and reinstall all the stuff.
  What you can try is to clean the registry entries, but I know if this will help.

  There is one very important thing: drivers, tools and utilities must be installed in order for the proper installation. Unfortunately there is no such list but try to install more to my list of things I could ve used to install Win7 32 bit on my Satellite A300:

  Please try the steps, in order to verify if there is no virus or Spyware issues below.

  1. run the Microsoft Windows malicious software removal tool

  2 download, install, update and run: (freeware) SUPERAntispyware and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (freeware).

• Equium A100 - error NMI with pen drive

  The Toshiba laptop works fine until I have install a USB key.

  When a player is pushed into the laptop, a blue screen is displayed right path specifying the following: -.

  Hardware malfunction
  Call your provider of support material
  NMI: Parity Check/Memory Parity Error
  The system is shut down

  I tried various pen drives and all have the same effect. I even changed the system memory, hard drive and reinstalled Windows Vista.
  I've been on google and people related to the problem of the motherboard, but not sure it can be if the problem occurs only with a USB plug. If I plug in a USB mouse, the system is fine.

  Also memtest can't find any errors.

  Look forward to your ideas on this.

  The error message _NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error_ sound more like a problem with the hardware as a software related issue.
  I searched and studied a bit in the Microsoft Knowledge base and found this article:

  Microsoft said that this problem could be related to different hardware issues such as RAM malfunction for example.
  If you have changed the RAM modules and the problem persists then a problem of memory slot motherboard might be possible.

  You should also check the BIOS settings. By default the BIOS.
  You can also try to update the BIOS if a newer BIOS is available.

• Equium A100-027 freezes after Vista update

  I bought an A100-027 (yesterday!) with Vista installed.

  Everything worked fine until I have that ran Windows update to get the latest Microsoft patches. now, nothing works.

  In detail:
  I put the system to go into hibernation when you press the power button and close the cover (which worked fine).

  I have set up an internet connection broadband and access to Windows Update to get the latest patches, which had 12. He downloaded them and seemed to install OK and then he said that wanting to restart the machine. I clicked on OK and the machine shut down and restarted, but he came all the way to the top. (I think someone can close the lid while crossing the restart process after updates).

  In any case, what now happens is - press the power button (don't forget he is in hibernation)-the Toshiba "in touch with tomorrow" the start screen appears, followed by a screen with "recovery Windows... "down (as expected). Then, the screen is blank - the hard drive light stays on for a minute or so, then turns off and it just sits there. If I then press the power button, it seems to make an extended stop sleep normal (HDD light flashes for a few seconds, then the power goes off).

  Following a response elsewhere in this forum, I tried to remove the battery (with power off and unplugged, of course) for 1/2 hour and its replacement - no difference. I also tried pressing different keys while turning on F, but no difference (except sometimes beeps).

• JavaScript exception: error calling the function of selection: [object error] after the last update of the software Adobe Muse.  I export the html files and load them on my server.  I replaced all the files.  Only happens in IE11

  

  UPGRADE to someone else who may have had this problem.  It's in compatibility mode settings.  Went in IE-tools and unchecked the option to view websites in compatibility mode, also went in the developer tools and changed the document aboard 11 mode.  This fixed the error!

  When I download the same Flash as a stream to a file, this same exact flow plays well in VLC.

  It seems so be Abdobe Flash causes the error with the last update.

  This message always appears during the clean boot procedure or it appeared only once?

  Generally 'bad checksum' error message if the CMOS battery does not work correctly.

  But I have no idea why you get this message after update BIOS... Anyway if the laptop works correctly after updating the BIOS then you should t be worried.

• Equium A100: CD/DVD drive wont read - D:\ error message is not accessible

  My cd/dvd rw drive will not read certain DVD/CD-ROM. I bought my equium (A100 I think) laptop, nine less than a year ago and have had this problem since I got it. The disk which do not work on the laptop work fine on another pc / dvd players, if the disc is not defective. At first I thought that it would be a driver issue because some of the disc worked fine, so I never got the laptop back to the store I bought.

  A message appears "D:\ is not accessible. The request could not be performed because of an i/o device error".

  I recently just got internet installed in my house and I went to the toshiba site to see if there are newer drivers that would solve this problem. I downloaded a bios update and an update of dvd ram and installed, but am still having the same problem.

  Can someone help me cause am totally stuck on what to do now.

  As you have probably not known the CD/DVD drive support not all backgrounds.
  In the user manual, you will find a list of supported CD and DVD
