Equium A210-17I turn off randomly

Hello

My laptop is a little more than two years now. Since just after Christmas there now randomly turned off itself several times. Basically the screen turns off, standby-led is orange regular and the hard drive light flashes very quickly. Even when it is plugged in, the cord and battery supply turns off lights. To re - start the computer, I have to turn the power off then remove the battery and it starts normally after that (usually propose a SafeMode as a startup option).

Sometimes the laptop was warm enough, but the last time he did not feel too (and comes to be browsing the internet). The first, some times even if I had just watched a DVD / was something the iplayer streaming and it was nice and warm. I ordered a cooling with built-in fans support where it is overheating, but it happened when on my knees too, so I'm really not block all of the fans.

I just thought that I would ask here in case the lights were any sort of way to identify the problem, or if anyone else had a similar problem. As I say it still works well most of the time and it only did about 5 or 6 times in the last month and a half, but I'm worried still cause problems and so would work it out!

Any help much appreciated!

Hello

If you have the replaced cooling fans, but have you also renewed the thermal grease? This should also be done sometimes and if your laptop is still 2 years old, it could be the problem of this stop randomly.
Check this box!

Otherwise, I think that he associated material s and maybe the motherboard, CPU, or RAM is the cause but your laptop should be checked by a technician of the laptop.

    Hello group,

My computer laptop girls off for a flash bios because of blocked fan (dog hairs dust etc.) and its fried bios chip.
I think that there is a partition on the Bios chip which can upgrade the bios in a critical state of flash using combinations of keys.

I tried all of this and have a laptop dead yet.
I contacted someone on the net that sells preloaded Bios chips and instructions to replace them, but I must first of all identify the chip on the card.
Is there any reading that can identify it for me on a toshiba Equium A210-1as... psafje-005005ks

    Hi mate

Usually it s is not necessary to replace the BIOS ROM chip on the motherboard.
In most cases, the ROM module has to be reflashed again.
It seems that the module ROM was not properly flashed and the process interrupted
The technician of the ASP can reflash the module using a disc of the BIOS crisis.

I recommend you to get in touch with the guys from the ASP in your country and ask reflash BIOSES.

  • Equium A210-17i does not supply power to the top only with the power adapter plugged

Equium A210-17i turn on when the battery is missing, but the laptop is set to the power supply dc?

I have a dead battery and the laptop does not light with or without the battery inserted.
The food came out 19v as it is supposed to.

Also no led lights on the laptop when the power is connected and there is no sign of life at all by pressing power buttun.

    Thanks for any response.

    Hello

The laptop must also lights up if the battery is not inserted.
If the adapter is ok and if it s connected to the laptop, then the power led should be lit and it should light up.
This led indicates that AC adapter provides power to the laptop properly.

But if the LED turns OFF then that would mean that there is no power, and in this case the laptop will not turn on.

  • Equium U400-146 begins to turn off randomly

I bought a new Toshiba Equium from PC World, and everything worked perfectly well on...

But a month later it starts then turn off randomly (that is not caused by overheating), and I have to take out it and put again to start again.

He has not been abandoned before, and the AC adapter and the battery work fine

What could be wrong? : S

Well, if Notepad starts turning off spontaneously then an overheating problem may be possible, I mean this isn't a common behavior of mobile and in my temperature only high opinion could cause something like that
In most cases the laptop automatically stops to prevent the equipment from damage

Maybe you should check if the cooling modules can work properly and if nothing prevents air circulation
Ensure that the vents are free of dust and debris and don t use the laptop in bed, couch or in places where the air circulation is not possible

When it happened tonight I just internet browsing. It's happened several times, and the only way to recover whatever it is is to turn off the computer with the power button. My friend who also has the same laptop also has the same problem, and although it occurs about once a week, it's always boring. All solutions?

It s certainly nothing wrong with you material
I read that this problem could be related to Windows Vista bugs too

Then all first of all you need to update the Vista for the last State.
Then check the driver for graphics card for updates and * then you must update the BIOS if a newer version * is available

  • Equium A210-17I do not start - how to access password protected HDD?

My Equium A210-17I (model: PSAFJE) died recently and I'm trying to recover the contents of the hard drive.

I hope that I can just put the drive into another laptop and start (either by using the player itself or a Live CD). Unfortunately, when I put the drive in another machine, it prompts me for a password HDD/SSD but say that the password is incorrect.

Anyone have any ideas? The Equium stores a version coded the password or something?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    What I've tried so far:

1 put the drive in Toshiba Satellite C655. Request password and after 3 wrong attempts to stop.

    2. put the disc into the Compaq 610. Request of password and after 2 attempts to let me Live CD boot. However, once started, the drive is not visible at all (disabled by BIOS).

    3. with all the variations of portable password input - completed by zeros, dashes, spaces, etc.. Uppercase, backward, etc..

In what concerns the attempts to revive the satellite (so I can remove the hard drive password):

When it is plugged in, power and load front lights.
When lit, the logo turns on, the fan turns and can also hear the hard drive.
Then there's just in this State.
No display, no beeps, no lights on the keyboard.

Tried to start after removing the hard drive and CD-ROM drive. Also tried without the installed memory. All the same result.

    Thanks for your help.

    > Unfortunately, when I put the drive in another machine, it prompts me for a password HDD/SSD but say that the password is incorrect.

It seems that the HARD drive has been guaranteed by a HARD drive password.
Mate sorry but this password cannot be deleted if you n t know the password.

Usually to remove the HARD drive password, you must put the HARD drive in the Toshiba laptop, have access the BIOS and there is an option called HARD drive password which allows you to remove the HARD drive KNOWN password.

  • iPhone turns off randomly

    Hello

I got an iPhone 5S for about a year and a half and, for the most part, it was a great phone for me. Yesterday, it turns off randomly every few hours. It already happened, and usually stops the next day. However, it was not the case this time. All day today, it would be random and often turned off and won't turn back on unless it is plugged or I hold all the buttons. In addition, the percentages of battery were in every sense. Sometimes, when turned back on, it will be 100% even it it has low battery symbol flash before the apple logo, as it is powered. About 10 minutes, however, he turned on and says that it is 5%. I'm sitting here watching and it has not extinguished since and has charged up to 11%. I use third-party chargers. I only used a up to the earlier today, when I remembered, I got another loader (which is also a third party). So I went to that one, but I don't think it makes a difference.

It's now about 2 hours. My phone was plugged in and 100% for most of the time. No problems. Then I disconnected and had it for about 2 minutes, works great until I put my case back on. He then turns off. I was able to turn it back on, but it then immediately off again. I plugged and I can't turn it on.

Any ideas as to what could be the problem? And more importantly, a solution?

Sorry this is so long and complicated. I will answer questions about my unusual situation if it helps solve the problem.

    Thank you!

  • Equium A200 - screen turns off

Hi, I'm having a problem with my Toshiba laptop, the screen turns off randomly and the computer still seems to work, but when I use a VGA cable to connect to a TV it does not display anything.

Here are pictures of when it fires
http://Tinypic.com/r/vr9d7d/7 yellow on the disc tray is turned on
http://Tinypic.com/r/2d9poya/7 that the front turned on lights and computer sounds like its operation.

This led me to believe it's a hardware problem, but when I turn on the computer in Mode safe it never turns off. I also got the fixed ups this year because the screen was losing power.

Can anyone help I can't really afford a new laptop at the moment

    Hi David,

It's a little confusing, it doesn't always happen when you shut down the computer, or just sometimes?
What do you do to get rid of this? Always remove the battery and the AC adapter or what exactly?

I think that it s a hardware malfunction, usually has nothing to do with the software. What you can try is a BIOS update from the official website of Toshiba.

Hi, I'm new here. I own this Satellite A30-414. It works well, but it turns off randomly. I explain.

I might use it for non-stop days, it works well, but sometimes it empties and turns off. Then it always turns on the second attempt. There is no particular action, I do it turns off, it can happen any application at any time. As I said, it can stay for days, connected to the internet via wifi or lan, download P2P stuff, no problem not turn off.

I thought it was the temperature because it's warm enough, so I run it on a laptop computer have lower airflow, not at all, it turns off randomly anyway. Maybe I'm thniking more heating unsoldered some brazing under BGA chips, so it might need a redistribution of some chips, maybe the graphics chip

    Can you help me please?

    Thanx

    Hi satiropan,

    > I thought it was the temperature because it's warm enough, so I run it on a laptop computer have lower airflow, not at all, it turns off randomly anyway.
Such an external Notebook Cooler will not help you solve this problem. The internal cooling fan is designed and tested for this laptop and everything will work perfectly even on high usage. External cooling is not necessary.

It's old enough laptop model, so I imagine that a lot of dust blocking the cooling fan. Therefore, clean it with a jet of compressed air to blow the dust from the cooling fans. The exact procedure is described here:

  • my PC turns off randomly

I have a problem with vista. the computer just turns off randomly for no apparent reason.

the machine is a 4 year HP, and he has never done this before.

No I turn it off when I'm done and then next turn when I need it, but it just stops different lenths of the time, different applications?

It may be a heat problem, the CPU would be shut down automatically as a security measure to prevent it from overheating. To avoid it to be then you need to open the computer and blow the dust out of it and make sure all the fans run correctly.

If this isn't the case, then it might be a virus.

My battery is fully charged, the laptop rather new stops just at random.  I don't receive any message until the computer turns off.  When I turn on the back, he asks if I boot safe mode or start the computer normally. (still no error message)

I did not bring any changes on the computer, I mainly use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet Explorer.

  • Satellite A100 - PSAA5U SP2022 sometimes turns off randomly

    Hello

I have a toshiba Satellite A100-SP2022 PSAA5U-02G00G portable satellite and sometimes turns off the coast at random.
The battery and charger are OK.

I saw a bulletin saying a word on an update of the BIOS for A100 series for that matter.

The problem is: I can't find my model or my BIOS to the toshiba support site.

    Thank you

    Hello

I put t think that this could be linked to the BIOS
In my opinion the reason for this problem could be a high temperature.

You said that the laptop stops automatically?
Usually, this occurs if the temperature reaches a critical threshold and the laptop stops to prevent the equipment from damage

In most cases, the vents are clogged and air cannot circulate properly.

Therefore, it would be desirable to check and clean the ventilation openings with a professional air spray.
This could help them to get rid of dust and debris.

    Check it out

  • HP Pavilion beats: HP pavillion beats screen turns off randomly

So, this Christmas I was very happy to get this laptop and it costs $600. Overall, this is a laptop in circulation, in the way that the graphics could be better and the sound quality of the speakers is not as good as I expected to be. Anyway, back to my question. I was using the laptop computer throughout the day, and so far, everything works normally. However, sometimes, randomly; without notice, the screen goes black and it's basically freezing. This happened only once while I was typing and once when I was watching a video. I have been active both times where it turns off and the battery died never imminent when it does. When the screen is frozen, I can't do anything with it; just turn it off. And to give you closure, I tried to turn on/off; the backlit keyboard no changes whatsoever and I also tried pressing the caps lock shift key to find a frequency; and, as only presumed, no led light, nothing. As I said, when these breaks occur, I am very active and the battery is charged. If it helps, I did not experience WHILE the laptop was in charge. It's a shame that this one portable grand has a simple flaw that could probably be easily resolved.

    Thanks for listening,
