Equium L40 PSL41E: Wireless not connect host process not put end to

Recently, I got a blue screen on this laptop crash after that get a message telling me a host process had ended.

The computer is running Vista, so I expect problems when my parents bought my sister this laptop.
In any case despite the frequent blue screen stop messages, etc.. When I get the message telling me that the host process put an end to my wireless connection gets messed up.

The last time I used windows: diagnose why Windows cannot find network option and was quickly informed that my wireless was turned off (despite the fact that he was actually turned on) and that the computer would automatically turn back on.

After that it worked fine for a few days until I had another stop of host process and the computer crashed once more.

This time, the computer refuses to connect despite the use of the above method and the ConfigFree(Connectivity Doctor), fix the connection etc.

I give myself the possible Solutions are:

Check the communication device for bridged settings you may need to disable the bridge or reconfigure. a 15.

It is certainly not the problem.

a-9 Move closer to the wireless router.

Even once is not the problem, I'm sitting next to.

a-10 tour of all bluetooth devices or other devices that may interfere.

There are no such devices near to.

a-11 Check to check a microwave oven is not in use is close.

It is not in use.

a 13 make sure that the maximum number of devices connected to the access point is not exceeded.

Well, it worked for 6 months before that, so I do not know is not the case.

a 37 to ensure that filtering by mac address of the access point is configured correctly.

I don't have any idea what it means. But my cell phone girlfriends works very well with the wireless connection.

a 19 restart the router/access point

Done several times.

Well, good suggestions. Fire now that I'm all ears.

Hello

I put t know why a host process has stopped working, but to my knowledge, the process could be svchost.exe.
However, the issue seems to be related to the Vista OS problem

I see that you have tried to solve this problem, but without being successful, you also get a BSOD so I think it's a serious problem of software and you must first use the Toshiba Recovery CD to reinstall the operating system on this laptop.

After the new installation (would take about 15 min) update the operating system to the State.
Then you can try to reconfigure the wireless network

It's worth to try ;)

  • Toshiba Equium L40 - 10U Wireless does not

I recently updated my Toshiba Equium L40 - 10U to Service Pack 2 for Vista and now my wireless does not work. I tried to update my driver - but its already been updated, checked for updates - all installed, ensured this driver has been activated. Yet I still can't wireless to work, I don't know what to do now!

I checked my network connections and my wan (PPPOE) miniport is disconnected when you try to connect it comes up with ERROR 815. Then I have to make sure that my internet connection options were correct - do not establish a connection and do not allow the proxy server and still get this message.
My BIN is Realtek RTL8139/810 x Family Fast Ethernet NIC (do not know if this is useful or not) I tried to turn it off then try and turn it back on? But do not know if that would improve the situation or not.

    Hello

    (1) do you have made no changes before this problem?
    (2) what is the exact error message / complete you receive?

Method 1: Follow the steps in the following articles and check if they help.

Step 1: Safe mode with networking
See the link below and check if the problem persists in safe mode with network.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

Step 2: If the problem does not persist in Mode safe mode with networking, I suggest you to put the computer in clean boot mode and check if it helps.
    Clean boot mode
A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.
Try to install the updates in clean boot mode, and check if the problem still persists.
You can read the following article to configure the computer to boot:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: After completing the troubleshooting steps, please refer to clean the start link to set up your computer to normal startup mode.

Method 2: Follow the steps in the below items to Disable Antivirus and firewall and check if it helps.

Step 2: Turn Windows Firewall on or off

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
Note: You should not turn off Windows Firewall unless you have another firewall is enabled. Turning off Windows Firewall may make your computer (and your network, if you have one) more vulnerable to damage caused by worms or hackers.

Method 3: Uninstall and reinstall the drivers

You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers who can help you further.

  • Equium L40 - lost wireless connection

I have an Equium L40-156 under Vista and wireless became intermittent. The switch light would go out or maybe turn on at startup. In the end, I did a restore of the entire system from scratch and installed the latest drivers (Realtek) wireless.

This seemed to cure the problem and it has been fine for the last 2 months. However, the light is now out again (it was working an hour ago), and there is no wireless connection.

I tried a restore of the system and also installed the latest driver from Toshiba, but I still can't run. I hesitate to start over again once it takes all day to load programs and updates. Can anyone suggest what I can do or is this another bug of Vista?

    Great news

  • Equium A60 - no wireless network connection

    Hello world

I have had a good look through the forums and can't find anything related to this but my apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere :-)

I set up a wireless home network with a Windows XP desktop computer with a router and a laptop old Win98, WinXP SP2, which I can't connect and an Equium A60. I installed two different network on the A60 USB adapters, seems to be okay with all of them except that there is no "wireless network connection" listed under network connections Control Panel. Both cards work fine on two other machines, so there must be a problem with the A60. I installed an adapter and then uninstalled before trying another.

Under control-> connections Panel Network, I can see an old broadband connection and the connection to the Local network (which is allowing me to connect to the router via Ethernet, so that the router will work), but the wireless network connection icon is not there. The driver for the USB adapter makes its appearance in Device Manager and is reported as working properly, but if it worked correctly then (I think) a wireless connection icon should appear - it happened with my other WinXP desktop.

Any ideas of what could be the cause?

    Thanks in advance
    Gareth

    Hello

I guess that the external WLan USB stick has been recognized one installed correctly. You said it appears in Device Manager. Are you sure that the WLAN USB key has been recognized to 101%? !!

If the WLAN USB key is recognized correctly, check the properties of this stick. (I think you should right click and then click on properties).

But if the stick was not recognized, you must verify the properties of the single USB ports and power safe mode.
Choose the USB single root hubs in device, right click, properties, tab power management Manager and disable the option called allow the computer to turn off the device to save energy.

    So maybe it helps

  • Equium L40 - 17 M: WLan connection but the light no longer works

I recently transferred my laptop Equium L40 17 M. ROM Vista to Windows 7 64 bit and since that time my WiFi light has not worked - of ideas?

    Help!

    Hello

I guess you are not able to activate the WiFi network and therefore the wifi does not work in Windows 7.

First of all, you must make sure that the WLan card driver has been properly installed and that wireless network card has been recognized in the Device Manager.
No yellow exclamation point must be visible in the network adapters.
Here is a page with drivers WLan:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/?page=downloads

I think that your laptop support REALTEK RTL8187B WLan 802.11(B/G) card so you have to choose Realtek WLan driver.

    In addition, you should make sure that WLan is enabled;
You must switch the WLan POSITION to allow the led WLan
In addition, you have to use FN + F8 buttons to choose the wireless network adapter.

If the buttons Fn would not work, then you must install the VAP (value added package) and Flash memory card Support utility. You can choose the tools available for Satellite L500...
    I did and it worked

  • Equium L40-14i does not power up if its cold

When I push the power button down when the machine is cold, green power light comes on for about 2 seconds, then turns off. If I give the laptop a little sweet heat for 30 seconds, the notebook starts up the first time and works perfectly until the machine is turned off. The laptop is Equium L40-14i

Hope someone can help with this strange problem.

Hmm laptop Equium L40 is an older model, it is possible that some parts of the motherboard (maybe electronic power) does not work as it should.

By the way: before talking about some problems of motherboard, you should check if the laptop works properly using another job good and checked power adapter.

  • Equium L40 - internet does not work if I open more than one Web site

I have an Equium L40-10 X, and while the system works well, he doesn't like the internet. If I open more than one Web site, a little box comes up saying that Internet Explorer has experienced a problem and must be restarted. It becomes excruciatingly embarrassing if I'm in the middle of something important and I lose the site I've been on!

Especially with me, go to college soon too! Especially it will refuse to work if I have to download something, for example, I recently bought an Apple iPod Nano and I needed iTunes in order for me to put music on it, but once he starts the download, the "internet has stopped working" appears and I have to start everything again, but instead of her work - quite simply, there is no!

This often becomes a case and it makes me incredibly stressed!
    Help, please.

    Hello

Always use the OS from windows update?
These errors occur if the registry is dirty and drunks was not updated!

Update windows on Microsoft for the last State page!
In addition, you must clean the registry using the freeware tool called CCleaner. It s nice!

    So finally a hint;
You can access the internet with Microsoft Internet Explorer and with another internet browser like Firefox for example.

    I recommend you this possibility.

  • Equium L40 - CDDVD does not recognize Audio CD

    Hello

I recently bought an Equium L40 and that's fine, except that the CDDVD drive does not recognize Audio CD. Just drive whirs and grinds for a few seconds then stops. DVD read correctly. The Audio CD I tried to play properly on other machines. I tried to change the settings for AutoPlay to "Ask Me every time", but it doesn't seem to help. Has anyone seen this problem before?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Kind regards

    Hello Chris

Have you tested with different CD (one oldest and newest) original music?
You see the content of these CDs in Windows Media Player?

I tried on my P200 with two original music CD and there is no chance of start them from Windows Explorer or see the content there. Start Windows Media player and I hope that it will work.
    Please post the result.

  • Re: Wireless has stopped working on my Equium L40 (PSL41E)

    Hi guys.

With the help of my laptop wireless this morning and all was fine, then all of a sudden, it loses the connection.

Tried different methods to restore the link, update driver downloaded but no luck.

The wireless light on the front of the laptop no longer turns, so I was wondering if there was some kind of internal problem.

I am house bound and rely heavily on my WiFi, so if someone could suggest a solution to the problem, or has any suggestions, which would be excellent, but please keep in mind, I'm not very technical interest, you may have to explain things in detail!

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello!

You have activated the WiFi connection with the hardware switch of the laptop? The switch is on?
In addition you can disable/enable the WLAN function with the FN keys. Therefore, you must press FN + F8.

And what driver have you installed? If you update the driver, you should look on the Toshiba WLAN portal. There, you can always find new driver versions:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

    Good bye

  • Equium L40 - switch wireless and F8 command does not

    Hello world

I have problems with the wireless button after I took my laptop apart to clean. The wireless button won't light up at all and only would light up. When I press fn f8 nothing happens. I don't know what I did. The wires are correctly in place, as far as I can tell. I tried the following things:

Uninstalling the card in the Device Manager and reboot
Checked adapter is listed as working properly
    Do a system restore
    Check the BIOS

I don't know what to do else would appreciate pointers. Thanks in advance!

    > I'm not sure what I've done.
And what to say about that now?
You, as the owner of the laptop, are not allowed to disassemble the laptop. You did this at your own risk. To be honest I n know how to help you now.
    > When I press fn f8 nothing happens
I believe you that. You must activate the WLAN using the WLAN switch first. Place it in the position YOU. After doing this, you have to press FN + F8 and not only F8.

When you do this you find flash cards and options for the WLAN?

  • Equium P200-1IR - wireless is connected but cannot access the internet

    Hi there,

    Need a little help!

    I just bought an Equium P200 1IR.
    I activated the wi fi.
I see my router which is Talk Talk.
Can I get the laptop to connect to the router and it says I'm connected,
However I can't access the internet.

I tried the same process by inserting a WiFi dongle into the USB port
on the laptop, and exactly the same thing happens.
We have other home computers that connect to the router and the internet
    OK using the wireless dongle.
I plugged a rigid cable between the laptop and the router connection and I can't
access the internet immediately without any problem, however, would be delighted
    to use the wireless function.

Any help really appreciated... Thank you

    Hello

Try please reboot your router. A few weeks ago, I had a similar problem with my Satellite A300. WLAN is connected but Internet was not available. After the router is restarted all of a sudden everything was ok again.

  • Equium L40-10 X query: connecting to a HD TV

I have a HD TV, I need my laptop to establish links with.

I was told that the 15-pin male VGA to HDMI cable is needed for this I understand; No problem.

However, I need to know if my video card can support digital signal through VGA port function output. Can someone answer this, and if POSSIBLE, could it talk me through setting up?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

    Hello

It of possible to convert the digital signal to analog, but not possible to convert analog to digital.
In addition, you are unable to upgrade or replace the graphics card. The chip is part of the motherboard and is not replaceable.

  • Equium L40-14i does not illuminate!

When I turn on my laptop the power button turns green and the disk drive can be heard for a few seconds, after that nothing happens. The screen remains black. I don't know how it happened.

    Hello

    Sounds like serious hardware problem.
You are able to access the BIOS? Usually, you can access the BIOS by pressing F2 at the beginning.
So if this is not possible, then it means that your card mother s cell phones likely to be affected. But also the defective RAM module might be possible

In my opinion, the technician of the ASP must check these pieces of hardware.
