Re: Wireless has stopped working on my Equium L40 (PSL41E)

Hi guys.

With the help of my laptop wireless this morning and all was fine, then all of a sudden, it loses the connection.

Tried different methods to restore the link, update driver downloaded but no luck.

The wireless light on the front of the laptop no longer turns, so I was wondering if there was some kind of internal problem.

I am house bound and rely heavily on my WiFi, so if someone could suggest a solution to the problem, or has any suggestions, which would be excellent, but please keep in mind, I'm not very technical interest, you may have to explain things in detail!

Thanks for your help.

Karl

Hello!

You have activated the WiFi connection with the hardware switch of the laptop? The switch is on?
In addition you can disable/enable the WLAN function with the FN keys. Therefore, you must press FN + F8.

And what driver have you installed? If you update the driver, you should look on the Toshiba WLAN portal. There, you can always find new driver versions:

  • M40X: Wireless has stopped working

    Hello world

Please can someone help. My wireless connection just stopped working. I have a Toshiba M40x, a router belkin g (F5D7231uk4) and my sevice provider is NTL. I checked with NTL and all is well. I took the cable that connects the modem to the router on the router and connected to my PC laptop and the internet works fine.

I also reconected it cable and run another ethernet cable from the router to my laptop computer and again internet works fine. When I right click on the little icon wireless and research of wireless computer sometimes shows my router, but nothing happens when I click conect. External wireless switch is turned on.

Please note that I'm not amazingly well with PCs, so answers in English would be fine.

    Hello

@fraziola: Sorry, but I m bit confused. The ethernet cable is plugged in and you want to connect to the router via WiFi? Or you have disconnected the cable and then try to connect the router?
However, in my opinion, you need to reconfigure the router. Check all the settings of the router. In addition, you will need to create a SSID.
I put t know if you use a WLan configuration tool and more, but if not to check the properties of WLan. In the wireless network tab, you will find an option to use windows to configure my wireless, this option must be enabled.
Then, you can use the lives option wireless networks.
If you use encryption, then you must also enter a good code.

Believe me, the WiFi network is a very complex issue and if you have no experience so ask someone who has more experience of these things.

  • Satellite A500 - 15N Wireless has stopped working

I bought my A500-15N in last October and had no problems at all with wireless connectivity. Last night when I was surfing Internet it suddenly stopped working (literally between two pages on Wikipedia) and I can connect is no longer. When I try the troubleshooting option, I still see an error 'wireless capability is turned off. I not made any changes to my router or laptop, so I'm not sure what could be going wrong.

Is the wireless adapter fuck and I need to get this replaced? I tried the combo FN + F8 but which does nothing either.

    Hey,.

Is the WLAN card still listed in Device Manager correctly and have you tried another key FN if combination work?
Usually the WLAN card can be disabled with the FN + F8 key combination you wrote

In your case I would recommend updating the driver WLAN. You can download the latest driver WLAN here:

  • Satellite P100 - 429 LAN wireless has stopped working

I had a satellite P100-429 during about three weeks, the wireless card was working fine until yesterday. Today I turned on the laptop, but I can't connect to my access point.

In fact the laptop can now find any wireless network at all.

    Can anyone help?

Have you checked the common things like a status of Wlan card in the device, the Wlan router configuration manager, etc...?
Also check if the Wlan card switch is set to on. Further, you can try to fix the WiFi connection.
To do something like that, he must go to "network connections", right click on the WiFi connection and choose repair.

Do you use 3rd party WLan configuration software? If so, please check if the windows have configuration option WLan has not been activated.

  • WRT54G wireless has stopped working

I got a Linksys WRT54G for several years, and during this period, he worked a lot.  I use it last night, and all of a sudden, my internet connection come fall.  Initially I thought it was just a problem with my internet, but after a few determined troubleshooting my rooter is the problem.  I checked the following:

    1. the Internet works when the computer is directly connected to the modem.

    2. wireless works, can connect to the rooter configuration screen

    3. I can also connect to the rooter Setup screen when connected wireless

Each device seems to work on its own, but when I put the rooter and modem together, I can't access the internet with a wired connection or wireless.  I have tried the following to fix:

    1 power bike all devices

    2 reset all cable connections

  • Satellite L300D - Wireless has stopped working.

    Hello

I use the laptop connected to internet wireless very well for some time now, both at home (via a router) and at the University, but until recently, when I switched the laptop on and he ceased to connect to the internet.

The icon in the taskbar indicates that it is connected to a network, but at the local level and does not connect to the internet, the wireless switch shows that it is on and if the button is the fn + f8.

I contacted the technical support to the router, as I had initially some worries with it a fair all the time, but they seem to think that this is a problem that the laptop itself because it connects to the internet very well if the cable is connected to him directly, but when it was via the wireless, the router was not find the device at all.

I was wondering if someone could give me a helping hand to sort out the situation.
    Thanks in advance.

    > The icon in the taskbar indicates that it is connected to a network, but only locally and does not connect to internet

In this case the refresh IP address could help.
If you want to note the same problem in the future and then start the console (using the CMD command), and then type the command: * ipconfig / renew *.

    Usually, this helps.
In my case, it always helps!

    Hello!

The CD/DVD drive is listed in Device Manager? You see an error code?
If the drive is listed in Device Manager, you should try to remove it, and then restart the laptop.

Try to load the default settings in the BIOS.

Have you tried to remove the upper and lower filters by yourself? Here is the solution from Microsoft:

  • WRT54G - wireless just stopped working on all devices

    Hi all

I had my WRT54G for a few years and have my hard wired office (to the router) and 2 laptops and an ipod, wireless successfully for 2 years. Woke up this morning and nothing connects wireless, find that the router is intermittent, and when it does, it cannot establish a connection with her. I can connect the devices via the network cable directly to the router and everything works fine, it's just wireless which has suddenly stopped working.

I tried "' turning and the new" disable the WEP password changing WEP etc but nothing seems to work. " IM at a loss as to why my all just network/wireless has stopped working?

    Any ideas?

You must update the firmware of the router, then reset and reconfigure the router.

  • Equium A100-338 display has stopped working

    Hello

I have exactly the same problem on my Equium A100-338 loaded with Vista.
The display has stopped working (he went to a poorly lit black screen) after I had rebooted my machine even if the computer and the hard drive seems to work Ok with the lights on. I tried the usual elimination of power and the battery and restart it tricks, but after initial success it has stopped working after a few weeks.

Once I had the computer operation that I only closed it down in the mode 'sleep', and he continued to work for a month until that he should be released after a windows update. I then plugged an external display and use of the Fn + F5 key got the external display running.
Low and behold, the screen of the laptop started working again as if it had been "energised".

I took what the laptop screen was OK and that he would not need replacement.
The laptop worked OK until it needed to restart another when the unrest started again. The screens are gray on the monitor and the laptop now.

These problems seem to point to a flaw in the display driver or VGA card, have you received updates or suggestions?
Now, I bought another laptop Toshiba Satellite to connect to the forums trying to find out if my original computer can be repaired
These problems seem to be quite common on Toshiba computers.

Any help members would be welcome.

    > These problems seem to point to a flaw in the display driver or VGA card, have you received updates or suggestions?
For the most part a graphics card driver must be reinstalled or updated to a newer version it can also be a problem of OS which means that the new facility could help
But try to update the display driver

    Can you help me?

    Hello

It seems that the wireless mouse or mouse wireless drivers/software has a bad influence on the touchpad.
I put t have a good solution for this problem. Well, you can consult the page of the Toshiba driver for latest driver updates. If the updates doesn't solve this problem I suggest to use either the mouse wireless and disable the touchpad with FN + F9 key combination or use a regular USB mouse.
I guess that you are having regular problems with a USB mouse.
