  2. did you of recent changes on the system?

  Check the behavior by starting the computer in a clean boot state.

  A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

  I have a Dell all-in-one that I had to send for a new motherboard. While they have it, I got them the reformat.   I use Windows 7 x 64 and whenever I run some programs installed, such as Celestia, Google Earth, and DOSbox, I get the message "the application could not start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application. "I think that maybe it's because my x 64 system and these programs being x 86. I have attached a log of HijackThis here and a DxDiag here.

  As mentioned in several links in a Google search, this error is probably the result of a (x 86) 32-bit tries to load a DLL 64 bit (x 64) executable.  You may need to adjust your path or copy the dll to avoid this problem.  For example, my path is configured to search for the x 64 version of d3dcompiler_46.dll (for DX11.1).  I am lucky to have x 86 applications that need the x 86 version of this compiler (in fact, I have plans with configurations for Win32 (x 86) and x 64 MSVS).  The error dialog when I start the x 86 application.  In fact, the error if I try to run Intel (vtune) amplifier on a x 86 configuration.

  Thank you for your help, I tried to completely uninstall Microsoft redistributable and then I just reinstalled directly from microsoft, I think it was a corrupted update which screwed things anyway thanks for your help

  There are two 64-bit dll that is referenced:
  IESHIMS. DLL and MSVCR100. DLL

  I can copy MSVCR100. DLL from C:\Program Files (x 86) \Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE\Remote Debugger\x86 in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE (next to devenv.exe) and I get the splash screen.  However, before the same load completely blocks.  Added an IESHIMS to 32-bit. DLL of C:\Windows\winsxs does not solve the startup crash problem.

  Not quite sure what else to try, any advice would be great.

  C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, win 8)
  If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you also need to place the .dll file in
  C:\Windows\SysWOW64\

  If you have 64-bit windows then no problem you just download "msvcr100.dll" in 32 bit 64 bit not only then stick two directories mentioned above.
