Looks like my SSD's on the blip or soon to be dead. My S.M.A.R.T status on my drive of Fusion is a 'failure '. When I dig deeper into the information system and look at the volumes, he seems to confirm

My question is, should I wait to die, or should I be proactive, separate the fuser unit and reinstall OSX on my HDD work? Is this possible? I used to spend money on the replacement of the SSD component, if I can just work on the HARD drive?

Anyway, ideas, help and advise is welcomed.

Thank you

If attack you any problem drive, now you have a chance of saving most or all of your data. If you expect that the disc is really dead, as then you are stuck with paying a recovery company data of hundreds of thousands of dollars for maybe recover some of your data. For me, it's an easy choice.

My computer makes a clicking noise at random - in the diagnosis of the Apple what is the meaning of error 4HDD/30 / 40000005:SATA (0,0) Please?

    Several clues:

    1. HARD and SATA drive in the message... On the way SATA HARD drive
    2. Clicking noise, which is an early signal of imminent death for HARD drive (there are only two types of readers... those who died and those who will be)

I would like to start keep good clones (CarbonCopyClone, bombich.com, $40) for external drives or backups Time Machine.  Any backup of the drive, not just your favorite parts.  Perform backups on a schedule without fail IMHO.

You can also start to consider a SSD at macsales.com (their mercury collection is highly recommended) or a new HARD disk, at least start planning if the SSD cost is worth the benefit of speed on the HARD drive.  You can buy it later.

Just my paranoid approach to this situation.

This means you have a hardware problem related to the hard drive. The disk may be corrupted or fails and must be replaced. Save your file as soon as POSSIBLE. If the player does not have little time for the backup.

3 months ago apple store replaced the following on my computer: Logic Board 2.5 GHz, screen clamshell Glossy 13, Top Case w/US, Trackpad, MagSafe Board keyboard. I also bought a new battery.  So pretty much everything has been replaced on my computer.  I'm afraid that the Trackpad, I just replaced is one more sign of coming trouble.  If anyone knows what means this error code, please let me know!  Thank you for your help.

  • Xw8200: Error on Boot to Sata cable

During startup, the message begins by "mistake of the Sata cable 1796" and indicates the color of the cable and will there be a performance issue. " I have four hard drives and a player.  Anyway, I changed the layout of the insert and what ever I do the mistake of 1796.  In fact, I unplugged all the cables except for the main boot drive - sata and I get error 1796.  And Yes, the Bios is being updated - this machine, Windows 7 Pro works with 32 GB of memory.

I would like to ignore the message, but I keep losing after starting my G: drive. In fact occasionally when the system starts to run a chkdsk on drive G. No bump in the road. However I'll end by time G drive missing. I then need to reboot to recover the disk G. I ran Chkdsk and SCP.

Indeed drive G (WD 1 TB), I downloaded the WD Diag utility. All Western Digital drives, past and G drive I even ran the trial extended - and it happened.

My conclusion is therefore that I defintely need address this situation of cable - and free of any error starting 1796 future. Is there a cure?

    Thank you!

In several places, I found that the error occurs when the SATA ports are missing something on SATA (0) or SATA (1)

  • T530, 2101: Error detection on HDD2 (Sata Mini)

I started to get this error every time that I reboot my machine. If I press boot ESC is going very well.

Whats strange is that I watch have a Mini Sata HDD2 and if I do that I've never known about it and I can't put it in the Device Manager, etc..

How can I get the machine to stop trying to detect this? Very annoying.

    Hi guys,.

Thanks for the replies. This message was made four months or if there is, and the problem is now resolved. IBM came and replaced care mini sata on the bottom of the laptop. I had no idea I had this card at all, I was not using it. Unfortunately, the message went to replace.

  • Kernel Panic in OSX but not Windows (Bootcamp)

I have a 15-inch MacBook Pro (early 2011) which has recently experienced sudden stops and the kernel panics. Panic report always comes out:

    ....

Here is what I have done so far:

-Went to the Apple Store for the MacBook Pro video problem Extension program repair (it goes the diagnosis made here)

-Ran an Apple Hardware Test (error 4HDD/11/40000000: SATA (0,0)) and repair of disk utility (no problem found)

-Re-installed backup Time Machine but still experienced kernel panics

-Erase the Mac partition and made a new installation of OSX but panic kernel continue to hamper

^ - After completing these steps I suppose now that it is not a problem related to the software/OS, so I thought it must be a hardware problem. The strange thing is that Windows 10 on my Bootcamp partition still works and has no problem. I don't know if I'm missing something, but if it was a hardware problem (hard drive, SATA cable, RAM, logical card) so shouldn't the Windows partition also have problems?

Please let me know if you have ideas or suggestions. I'm stuck with Windows help in the meantime.

When the Apple Hardware Test results by generating an error code, there is a hardware problem.  The error you posted indicates a problem connecting to the HARD drive.

It might be useful if you have published the report of whole kernel panic.

    Ciao.

  • Apple Hardware Test has detected an error:

I've had my MacBook Pro (16 GB memory and 500 GB flash drive) for over 3 years now and I have never had any problems with it. In fact, I bought his preforming always as good as it did when first it.

But recently, I was watching something on YouTube and saw how to preform the Apple Hardware Test (turn on everything now "d"). I did that and got the following error code:

    4HDD/11/40000000: SATA (0,0)

After Google search of this code, I read that I have a problem with my memory and should at the Apple Store to make it fixed. (of course, I'm out of warranty). Since it doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the performance of computers, what are you thoughts on this situation? All tips are very much appreciated.

MacBook Pro with the retina, OS X (10.8.4) Mountain Lion

It is a hard drive error. Perhaps the drive, the cable, or cable SATA himself.

In your case rMBP, SSD, disc connection socket or spindle drive

Why did you run the test if you had any problems? I see now from above - idle curiosity.

  • Error 2101: ThinkPad T430 and Nocti OCZ 120 GB

    Hello

After about a month of use, I suddenly got an error: "2101: Drive error detection on hdd2 (sata mini)". Simply by browsing the internet system hung up and after the reboot, that the error appeared.

I read that people here had same error just after the Assembly of their SSD - mine has worked for a few weeks.

The problem appeared shortly after the auto BIOS update but not right after flash. 2 or 3 reboots went smoothly.

Strange, it is now my BIOS version 1.16 when crashes version 1.17 - on the web since last Wednesday the update went Saturday.

Any ideas how to avoid sending anything (laptop and SSD) to RMA?

I already have RMA to OCZ ticket but want to save time and do not want to lose the data.

Besides I don't know if this isn't the BIOS: Lenovo's new.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Gootchio

Okay, this Monday, I had Nocti replaced by OCZ and it works great - now

So it was no fault of Thinkpad.

1 consider changing STRATEGY OF RETENTION of RMAN. If you are using Data Guard

  • Errors of diagnosis Vostro 400 problems screen has black 1100:012

Afternoon, I'll have a nightmere of problems with one of our Vostro 400 workstations. Running Vista Business SP1 and after 4-5 hours, it crashes - goes to a black screen, sometimes with the power light flashes. When I managed to restart the turn table has checking (RAID 1 of Dell). I am running diagnostics extended utility partn. He has so far thrown upward the following errors on the disk SATA test 1100:012 A 1100:022 A 1100:032 A and 1100:042 A.

Disk with a hot fault or controller issue?

Covered by the 3 year warranty so I sound Dell once the tests have completed.

I was just wondering what I'm against here, bit cheesed off because I expect the system to continue, because the RAID 1 configuration is sold.

    TIA.

    Paul

  • Can I put a Seagate FireCuda drive in my iMac late 2009?

Apple Hardware Test (AHT) says that my SATA drive, 1 TB in size, has a problem.  Nothing specific indicated. The code given is: 4HDD/11 / 40000000:SATA (0,0)

I was testing because of the prob trying to get a good download of macOS Sierra.  Looks like I need to replace a hard drive first.  I have an iMac late 2009 with a Core i7 quad core, 16 GB DDR3 1067 Mhz ram and ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics card.  I can put a SSD in this unit or am I stuck with the Barracuda drives.  I'm looking for FireCuda readers and like what I see and read about them.

If you want an SSD, then I highly recommend:

    • Samsung 840.
    • OCZ ARC100 and other models.
    • OWC 3 G SSD.

The foregoing is all compatible and should work well. Your model only supports SATA 3 Gb/s speeds due to the controller, so don't waste your money on more expensive discs of 6 G or 6 Gbps because they work faster than a car of 3 G. If you decide on a 6 GB drive, however, they must be compatible as they work on the slower bus of 3G.

  • Spare on Satellite Pro A10 (30 GB)

    Hello

I am after some advice on what replacement drive to buy this laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro A10, model PSA15E-03U7V-EN. It still has the original disc of 30 GB in it, but he has demonstrated errors when checking the disc with Windows XP utility (it is still usable if). I did a full backup on an external drive.

    Thanks in advance
    Jessica Tsikas

In my opinion, you can use each up to 100 GB HARD drive. HARD drive interface is important and, as far as I know, in this old Satellite notebook HARD drive was IDE (ATA-5) connector.
