Error message comes up saying ' there is a problem resetting your PC has not changed. "

Original title: reinstalling Windows

My laptop (Dell Inspiron) comes preinstalled with Windows 8, but not working now - it runs very slowly and often takes multiple attempts to turn on. Often said 'Prepare auto repair' when I turn it on, it remains just on this message.

It's less than 3 years old (out of warranty) so I think that it's a software problem and not material.

I tried to do a factory reset to clear the laptop, but an error message comes up saying ' there is a problem resetting your PC has not changed. "

I then tried to create an installation of windows on a USB media using my product key, but impossible to use my product key for retail sales.

I am now at a loss of what to do that my laptop is pretty useless as it is.

It's a hard drive to a failing hard drive error / failed.

It's a DELL error code, not a Microsoft error code

Replace the hard drive or ask in the Dell Forums.

  • I can't reset or refresh my Windows 8. When I try the message appears: THERE WAS A PROBLEM RESET YOUR PC, NO CHANGES have BEEN MADE.

I bought my PC about year ago. I have windows 8 installed from the beginning. Right after the purchase, I was told by the shop assistant to reset my Windows, so I did as Fallows: parameters - parameters Change PC - general - all remove and reinstall Windows---> who he was. It went ok, no problem, no need to insert additional disks (which I did not at the time of the purchase, by the way - saleswoman told me that recovery of windows, the files are already on the hard drive).  so now after 1 year I am planing to reset or at least update my PC again... but I IMPOSSIBLE. Whenever I try to do the same procedure as described above, I got this message: THERE WAS A PROBLEM RESET YOUR PC, NO CHANGES have BEEN MADE. and that's it!. I have absolutely no idea why. I restore the previous settings of Windows work, with the hope that it will help, but it didn't. Still can not reset my Windows. Anyone have this problem too, or if she had.

I have attached the picture with this message for a better understanding

Yes, I bought my PC (Dell) with 8 Windows preinstalled, I was just curious to know if there is a way to extract the product key for the version pre-installed (just in case). Thanks for the support, I will try your method "to create installation for Windows 8 media. But the real question is why I get this message when I try to reset the system "There WAS a PROBLEM of RESET YOUR PC, SUBI NO change".

See here to prepare a Windows 8.1 with update 1 USB Bootable for installing with a UEFI BIOS from Dell:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/download-Microsoft-Windows-and-Office/Download-Microsoft-Windows/download-Windows-8-1-retail-and-OEM-ISO/

Make sure that you select the correct edition.

If your system does not on Windows 8.0 updated the BIOS with the latest version before using the installation media:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/updating-the-BIOS/

The latest version of the BIOS can have improvements that will help the 8.1 Windows to run more easily.

As you know Windows 8.0 Windows 8.1, I recommend a new installation of Windows 8.1 opposed to reset:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/a-clean-install-of-Windows/a-clean-install-of-Windows-8-1/Windows-8-1-installation/

You can follow the optional procedures to wipe the drive before installing Windows 8.1:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/cleaning-up-a-drive-format-vs-secure-wipe-SSD-and-HDD/

Once you have installed Windows 8.1, install all drivers needed Dell system in good order:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/downloading-drivers-checking-hardware-IDs-and-downloading-and-installing-Dell-system-drivers-in-the-correct-order/driver-installation/

After that, you can install the latest version of Dell backup and restore:

    http://downloads.Dell.com/FOLDER02909509M/1/Backup-and-Recovery_Application_64M9D_WN32_1.8.1.71_A00.exe

This will make a new internal recovery Partition which is Windows 8.1 with update 1 and not Windows 8.0. You can then do a backup and Dell recovery media if you wish:

  • Vista SP1 does not update problems and System Restore returns a message "system restore was not entirely successful. File system and the setting of your computer has not changed"with the error code (0x80071AA7)

    0rignal title: Vista SP1 didn't update problem

So, recently, I was on my computer of gf and noticed she had some updates, it could use his computer which included the SP1 update.  So I went through the process trying to update his computer and he has been a disaster and have had many problems and seems to have tried everything.  It has a Dell inspiron 1525 and has no CD and no key for its program of Vista.  I burned a Vista recovery disk and tried troubleshooting by using that, but have not had much luck.  When I use the Startup Repair tool there is no nothing.  So I tried to use the restore of the system with the Description of "install: Windows Vista Service Pack 1.  He had a restore point saved just before I tried to update to SP1.  Whenever I chose this method, it's but the whole process then in the end it says:

"System restore was not entirely successful.  File system and the setting of your computer have not changed. "

then he begins to list the details with the error code (0x80071AA7) and then gives me the option to close or 'Run System Restore"once again that is an endless loop, because I just end up with the same error each time.  If anyone has had this problem and bring myself through it.  I don't want to reinstall windows because it seems simply ridiculous and plus that she a lot of pictures on his computer and I want to get rid of those.

    Hello

Follow the steps and check if the problem persists.

    Step 1:

I suspect that your security program may be responsible for this. I would suggest you temporarily disable all security software and try the system restore.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

Note : Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats.  In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Step 2:

As for installing updates is concerned, I you should install them after you put your computer in aclean boot State. There could be a third-party software in conflict with updates. Clean boot helps eliminate these conflicts.

Note: Restart your machine as usual by following step 7.

Try reinstalling Windows 8 (x 64 OEM version), but after clicking on start, I get the following error:

Ditto for the Refresh tool.  Verification of the Solutions tool thinks for a minute, then disappears.  Have tried to introduce these tools after boot, as well as an assortment of other boards around the internet such as the cmd line queries.  Any thoughts?  Had the PC for a year now, no weird mods or alteration of configuration, just installed Office and a few games of limited resources.  As a single user, I have full administrator access.

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer.

I have restored all of the changes made by Advanced System Care 5 now everything works.

Advanced System Care 6 upgrades done a registry clean with no problems this time.

It seems therefore that the registry clean was the problem.

It does not look like it cleaned everything more then old software keys and the extensions that I use more.

  • 8600, connected HP says there is a problem but the printer does not work

I try to use a 8600 e - all - in - one. It replaced a 8500 who has never had a problem with eprint to an email address or as a printer of google cloud.

With the new printer, when I get it in hpConnected correctly identifies the printer and it's e-mail address. He says he's online. It also gives me the warning sign of exclamation to a printer problem. When I click it says that there is an unspecified error and see the front panel of the printer. No error on the front panel of the printer.

If I send print jobs via the address hpeprint, it works every time.

Because hpConnected said that there is a problem: the page of the google cloud reports that the printer is offline.

Connection is complete Hughesnet, so that might be a contributor to the problem.

I finally solved this problem. I reinstalled an old Windows laptop-based printing software and now hpConnected said there is no problem. It's strange because the printer is not physically connected to any PC. It is wireless only.

To solve the google cloud printing problem, I disabled the Web Services and then reset the default wireless property. When I went through the Setup Wizard again, it gave me a new code of acceptance. I got to hpConnected and then added the printer to the Google Cloud Print/HP dialogue page.

    Now, things work as expected.

  • When I turn on my computer an error message comes up saying "you are over-quota, please reconfigure to use less space. How to "configure"? I defragmented etc. and it does not help? Thank you

    How to configure my computer?

I saw a good amount of messages on this lately, enough to make me think that there is some malware floating around the cause.
This error occurs usually after a computer has been infected then first make sure the computer is completely virus/malware-free. Do not skip this.

    http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

At the very least do the preparatory work and then scan with MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware in addition to your regular antivirus program.

Then locate the disk quotas that can be defined. If the machine is clean and there is no set of disk quotas, copy the lines between asterisks a Notepad document and save it as undopolicy.reg. Double-click undopolicy.reg to merge into registry.

  • Error message from Google: 'we have detected a problem with your cookies settings. Give me CLEAR instructions on how to solve this problem. Windows 8.1

I'm fed up with getting this message from Google and directions so not CLEAR. I get the message in different situations, this time in Google Reader when you click to download a file.

    Three possibilities come to mind:

    (1) your Google cookies may contain corruption. You can save your work, make them disappear and log in again.

While displaying a page on google.com , somewhere, try either:

    • Right click and select View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".
    • ALT + t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".

In the dialog box that opens, google.com should already be in the upper part of drill down to just their cookies. You can delete cookies individually. Then do a "full" using Ctrl + Shift + r reload to get Google to send fresh cookies.

    Does make a difference?

    (2) partially disabled cookies. Firefox settings allow you to accept/reject cookies in general and also on a site-by-site and also as third-party cookies base part (for example, accounts.google.com is a third party to www.google.com).

To check your cookie settings in general, see the first section of this article: Web sites say cookies are blocked - pledge.

To check the permissions of site specific cookie, you can open a hidden page by typing on: permissions in the address bar and pressing ENTER. In the left column, if you type goog in the box that says Search Sites , you can click on each relevant field and see what permission you have registered for "set of Cookies.

    (3) persons with disabilities 'local storage '. I'm not sure of the car, but some sites to report problems that cookie when you have disabled "DOM storage" also known as "local storage". You can check that you have not disabled as follows:

    (a) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (b) in the search above the list box, type or paste stor and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (c) scroll down and check dom.storage.enabled. If she is fat and user, set false, double-click on it to set the default value true.

Test to see if it makes a difference.

    Success?
