error recovery Windows returns constantly to the start without reason...
Hi I recently got windows 7 Professional 64-bit my Thursday school last burn on a dvd. Everything seemed fine after installation, and such as Saturday when he starts in front of the screen of bio and then pop up with error recovery windows telling me that windows wasn't one to repair or start normally anyway would it continue to go to this windows error recovery screen bit whatever I chose. These events eventually led me to believe that my hard drive has failed in which I had a brand new only on Sunday and installed fine all appeared while Monday morning he started to blow upward with the same error message I could try the repairs say it was very good, try and boot and it would restart again. Fortunately I was able to install my Vista Edition home premium 64-bit, which seemed to be ok for most of the day until yesterday when it grew up the windows on error with the options to use the last configuration or start normally (due to the recent hardware or software changes, but I have not install anything new in terms of software or hardware) that works , but im not sure for how long. Im very tech savvy for my age and know what im doing with computers, but I can't seem to understand what is happening since it is a new player none of my hardware is a failure and I don't know.
Appreciate any help...
Colin
Repair system solves most of the start-up problems. Some computers have startup repair pre-installed otherwise you will need a CD/DVD of Windows Vista. If your system still does not boot in Windows, follow these steps to repair the boot sector.

I have a series of A210 running Vista. When you turn on the laptop, I get "Windows recovery error. I then get two options 'Launch start repair' or 'Start windows normally', if I select 'Launch Startup Repair' I get a message: "system recovery options. Cannot start the installed program. Click OK to turn off the computer "by selecting"Start windows normally"round loop"Windows error recovery"message."
This message appeared without any previous problems with the laptop or Vista.
Any ideas on how I'll be back to normal use?
Hmmm don't look good buddy.
According to your message, you are not able to boot in Vista or using of the * "Launch Start up repair" * or * "Start windows normally" * procedureUnfortunately, I put t see any other possibility as to take the disk recovery and recovery of the laptop.
It looks like a serious system problem that can be solved only by using the recovery disc and reinstall new OS.
But note; the recovery disc formats the drive HARD integer for you will lose all data :( -

Error message "WIndows cannot currently check the updates, because the service is not running, you may need to restart your computer.
I am currently using windows 32 bit vist
I rebooted, I changed the settings, I don't have a file called window update service in the service section to stop and start, I tried the fix programs, I'm out of ideas and I need help!
Suggestions?
Hello
1. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
2. which antivirus app do you use?
I suggest you try these methods and check.
Method 1:
Anti-virus software may conflict with Windows Update. You can temporary disable them and check the issue.
Disable the antivirus software
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software
Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.Method 2:
How to reset the Windows Update components?
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058
Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/back-up-the-registryMethod 3: If the methods above do not help, I suggest you delete the edb.log file and check if that helps.
Follow these steps:
a. click the Start button, click computer.
b. now, go to this site: C:\windows\softwaredistribution\datastore\logs\edb.log
Where 'C' is the drive of operating system
c. delete the log file, and then restart the computer and check the issue. -
RMAN-20207: until the RECOVERY WINDOW, which was before the RESETLOGS
Dear friends,
I'm picking up some time and I have used this SQL in my RMAN
reset the database incarnation 1;
run
{
until ' to_date (3 Aug 10 17:50 ',' MON-DD-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') ";
restore the database;
recover the database;
}
and I get this error: RMAN-20207: until the RECOVERY WINDOW, which was before the RESETLOGS
I thought changing the incarnation will solve the problem. I have only 2 incarnations, which is used after that the resetlogs which is number 2. So I now use 1 incarnation.
How should I go about this?
Thanks in advance.

Moved to Ribbon!Ok...
Now, what you have to do: If you want to point at the time of recovery, you must have a valid backup plus archivelogs in order to recover up to the desired time.
From now on, full backup is available for the time that you asked, however archivelogs not :(
You must make available, controlfile catalogue and begin to restore, recover up to the hour. Then open with resetlogs option.

Vista, why my cursor jumps around on the screen without reason?
Vista, why my cursor jumps around on the screen without reason?
You are using a laptop with a touchscreen? Chances are good that you accidentally touch the touchpad while typing, and that moves the cursor. Go to start / Control Panel / mouse and see if there are controls for adjusting the sensitivity of the touchpad or to disable the touchpad while typing. Go to the web site of the manufacturer of your and download the latest device drivers, firmware, and software for touchpad you and your mouse (if you also have a mouse - you may have to go the manufacturer of the mouse for these drivers, if she did not come with the system). New updates can offer options that did not exist before like the ones I mentioned.
This happened to me also and I bought a separate mouse and disabled the touchpad and the problem disappeared - but he had me past for awhile until I finally figured it out by typing differently (with my hands up higher so the Palms do not touch and had no problem). Even if this isn't the problem, update the drivers, firmware or software can solve the problem on its own.
If none of the works above, we will need either to run a complete troubleshooting procedures (post back and I'll meet with them) or the touchpad or mouse is defective and must be replaced. You can discuss these last with the computer manufacturer when you talk to them (if you talk to them).
I hope this helps. If you have any questions along the way, come back and I'll do my best to answer.
Good luck!

After the reboot, I got Windows Error Recovery screen. He recommends launch Startup Recovery or start Windows normally. I tried both and keeps it just goes back to the screen even as a loop. Satellite Pro A300 - recovery disc breaks down at the start
Hi, hope someone can help you.
Laptop has stopped working - continues to try to solve the problem via windows on startup but that hangs just for hours so I ordered a recovery disk to start a new as I think that the initial problems were caused by a virus. I have no important data to keep so am OK with clearing everything and reboot. Today. I just received my product recovery disk I ordered at Toshiba. I followed the instructions; load the disc, power over the holding of C. Then it continues just as if the recovery CD was not in the drive. The CD player is not turning. Its as if the laptop does not recognize the drive.
Any ideas?
Hello
Well, either i s something wrong with the recovery disk itself or the reader doesn't see the drive correctly
What happens if you go to the BIOS boot menu (F12 key) and select the CD/DVD drive as the boot device?
If it doesn't work try another bootable disk to make sure that the drive works properly. -

Hello
1. have you made changes on the computer recently?
Method 1.
Let us scan SFC and check that it prevents this error to occur.
Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file.
To do this, follow these steps:
a. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
