• Export Indesign PDFs too big size

  Hello forums!

  I got stuck on a new problem. I work in Indesign, when I export to PDF, the pdf export files size is too large. I tried downsample when exporting to PDF, but does not reduce the size (even I choose pdf size smaller, but no luck). I have 33 images links in Indesign.

  Please help me how to do this... I know how to do with downsample, reduce the size in Acrobat, but this option doesn't help me at all.

  It sounds like you're using pictures eps links in Indesign. If so try to change to a different format as .png, .jpg, etc... and update the extension of links in Indesign PNG or jpg (to do this in Indesign, you must select all the images in criminal link and choose Relink file extension) and export your file and see what happens.

• PSD > InDesign > PDF low quality in addition to an image

  I created a document in PSD for design reasons and sent to InDesign to finish. I then export it to PDF. However, the most recently imported image becomes the only image of high quality when I export and save to the PDF format. The rest of the document seems blurry. I tried everything the print quality to set the high display preferences and maximizing quality. It seems to be a problem with InDesign, because the PSD export beautifully.

  Any suggestions?

  I asked the EFFECTIVE resolution in InDesign as this important, not the native resolution of Psalm if you have some text or vectors you must save the file in Photoshop PDF andimport in InDesign.

• Problem with .png with transperencies export InDesign PDF files

  We did a layout-design, with transparent png. In the past, when we have exported this indesign doc as PDF X 3-2003 we never had problems with it (using earlier versions of Indesign).

  Unfortunately with the latest version of Indesign, we have ugly boxes in our last print issue, which give as if 100% Transp. would decline about 90%.

  Also, the large print service company has not any expaination for this. We use the latest series of CC portfolio.

  It has not tried .tiff files with alpha channels yet, since our production pipeline is based on png files, and it worked.

  Similarly, if you work with PNGS in InDesign for printing, you should use PSD files as PNG does not support color management, only the alpha transparency, this is only a selection of transparency, which can support PDF.

  In InDesign, you should in aspects of quality import PDFS, I, PSD and avoid EPS.

  Hello

  I'm changing the background color on my document in indesign. I export the document in PDF format. I have already read some threads and can't seem to find an answer. Yes, I tried the whole thing of pages and I am well aware that it is for preview only.

  I read something that says to a framework and that will keep the background color to a pdf file. I'm new to indesign and have NO IDEA how to use it. Can someone please explain in dummy steps for me.

• InDesign pdf interactive showing the old content by mistake

  I exported a pdf interactive InDesign CC. The content is correct when the page is first displayed, but after clicking on the navigation buttons, the content of the page is incorrect. It's back to a previous version, but there is no more content in the InDesign file. I re-registered and changed the name and file location and it seems to make no difference.

  I use destinations of hyperlink to a few pages. I wonder if this is causing my problems? But I did not experience in 10 years... I'm puzzled.

  Export your InDesign file to an IDML

• Equivalent 'Field of the Image' LiveCycle in the creation of InDesign PDF form?

  LiveCycle has a PDF form field called "field of the Image. We add this field to the PDF files that we create so that our users can select and upload a JPEG image in their PDF with Adobe Reader.

  Now, we would like to use InDesign to produce the same files in PDF form as an alternative to the use of LiveCycle. InDesign has a form like 'Field of the Image' field of the LiveCycle? We have not yet found.

  In other words, does anyone know in InDesign create a field in the PDF forms that has the same 'Field of the Image' features of LiveCycle? LiveCycle field works in Adobe Reader enabled files and allows the JPEG format, among other things.

  P.S. We discovered a way to create PDF forms in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI with similar functionality using JavaScript, but Acrobat Pro created documents only allow Adobe Reader to import PDFs, no JPEG or other image formats. If Adobe Acrobat Pro XI was not a viable alternative to LiveCycle to create our PDF files. We would like to know if we rule out InDesign, too.

  As Peter says it has no way to do this using InDesign.

• InDesign PDF export

  I am trying to save InDesign documents in PDF format.

  When I start, I get the error indicated.

  The only solution I found is to change to a printer (local or network, whatever), then cancel to the final screen.

  Then I am able to select again the PDF and it works fine.

  It started there are many users in my marketing department, so different portable work/computers positions a month.

  This seems to work ONLY when you work with the booklets.

  Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

  You shouldn't try to print in PDF format, with the exception of the booklet to print. Use file > export > Adobe PDF and change the drop-down list in PDF (Print) if it presents (Interactive) PDF.

  You can only print to PDF if the Virtual PDF printer is actually installed.

• Interactive InDesign PDF - button action that goes to the content page?

  Noticed that in interactive PDF files, there is no "Go to page" action that works with PDF files.

  You have to 'Go to the first Page' or 'Go to Destination '. My content is on page 2, which excludes the first variant. So I stayed with alternative to, go to destination. However, when, as I'm operator exploiting the capabilities of bookmark-creation of Table of contents, the table of contents is never included as a bookmark destination, you can go to.

  I'm missing a checkbox indicating "include content in bookmarks.

  I can manually create the bookmark, it gets a sign of the anchor next to him in the Bookmarks panel. What is the right way to do it? What is an anchor sign?

  How would InDesign know which page is the "content"?

  What you have in general is to make an interactive pdf

  On the first Page. Previous page | Next page | Go to last Page

  And these are ideal if you create icons in that order.

  But the software was never developed to allow the user to "go to the specific Page.

  The only way you make is with bookmarks and add a 'Go to Destination '.

  I see this as a limitation in the software - or rather - poorly implemented feature.

  If you're in Acrobat, you add this feature- or maybe some clever writer has a way to add this feature in a script and applying the button go to the Page on the fly while making the PDF file.

  But for now-, the only way I can see to do this is with the 'Go To Destination.

• Rows in table stall to print from Indesign PDF

  Tables set up in Indesign where the header is very pale and header rules are on 0.5pt white. In the main part of the table, the rules are the pale color to 0.5 pt.

  All prints OK except the white horizontal ruler in the header. Please see the image below. Is that the line under "All specific options" which is not print, prints all other lines and they are all 0.5pt wide.

  

  The missing line is less than one "cell merged so I was wondering if this could have something to do with it?" However the tables created without any merged cells could be problematic.

  The files are created in Adobe Indesign CS6 and PDF files is generated from the file. The same software and settings to run through a number of Mac but the final print has the same problem no matter where the file was generated. Please note that all white rules appear actually to fine high resolution pdf file.

  Sorry for the delay. As I said, I hate the tables, so it took me a few stabs to find the problem.

  You have a cell style applied to the header cells that is ambiguous as the overprint on traits. Change the style specifically quit the race of overlay box UNchecked.

• InDesign PDF export does not display is not the correct colors

  So I exported my indesign document into my new CS6 software, but when I opened them all the colors are completely false. Colors will come up as gray or black, although they were gray or black in the first place.

  I took my file to another computer and exported their CS6 and the file came with all the colors, so I know that would not rather maybe my indesign file, one a software thing?

  I tried to delete the Preferences file, but this solves nothing. If someone wants to be able to recommend anything that would be greatly appreciated.

  What application you use to view the PDF on your computer?  If Mac overview there are questions I recommend Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat.

  BTW, what is your operating system and what setting you use when exporting the file.

• Color transparent graphic text and 'print' InDesign PDF files on-screen display

  Hello, all!

  I'm new here and am with color in InDesign CS3.  The two parts of the problem, explains the pasting attached screenshots: put a graph under type prevents me from having purple type I want – and when I make a PDF of the InDesign document, all the purple right (even the stuff with no graphics) below is converted into the evil purple.  (Ignore the statement on zoom factors, is the reason for a friend.)  It seems almost unbelievable that there is no way to avoid this problem, but my search for the solution were in vain so far.  (I'm certainly novice in some aspects of InDesign).

  

  Although I can eventually print the document on paper size, with just an inkjet printer, I am not quite so be concerned about color here.  Just having good purple the on-screen display of a PDF document would be quite an improvement over the current dam.

  If the destination of your document isn't just an offset press defined your fusion of transparency in RGB space. The purple you are specing is not in the range of CMYK colors.

• Export InDesign PDF problem

  Export PDF in InDesign CS6 gives thin and light text. I need an accurate rendering in pdf for publication on paper. The quality is imperative. Can you please help?  I use creative Cloud applications.

• CS6 InDesign PDF output

  When I try to export a document in IDCS6 to one of the Adobe PDF presets, I can't specify specific pages of the document there is a button that allows you to choose 'pages' but without box where you can type in the specific pages... This does not happen in CS5.5 or CS5 version... the panel is different... I often have specific pages of a document that will be sent for review to the export and cannot do in version CS6 of InDesign

  Figured it out... had to select the beaches, then the 'Custom V' and then it let me no type in the specific page numbers... Thanks for the quick responses.

  I just use a script to import a PDF of the page 1 299.  I would like to change the SIZE of all of the PDF files I imported.

  It allows you to set the scale when you execute it, and it will be a heck of a lot faster just re-run the script to a file rather than go back and manually scale 1299 PDF pages. The other option would be to find a script that can find the already plced pages and scale them, but I don't know of one that is already available. You could ask for more in InDesign Scripting
