Essbase 11.1.1 service - hypservice_1 stops after essbase is queried.

Hi all

The problem is the following. The essbase service stops as soon as an essbase query is executed. During the interrogation through EAS (i.e. just trying to open the test server - I get the error message is the following:)

* Network error [10061]: unable to connect to [MI - ESS - T:1423] *.
The customer has expired waiting to connect to Essbase Agent using the TCP/IP protocol.

What I tried so far:_

1. I stopped and uninstalled service reconfigured Essbase, rebooted the machine, check the essbase.cfg file and everything seems good. Initially the service after the service restart check seems to be running. Try to connect to Esscmd or MAXL proves otherwise. As soon as I try what they the hang.
2. run 'netstat' on the server don't watch not the port 1423 as listening/established when you ask with MAXL, MAXL, but does not progress past host enter > option.

Any suggestions?

Good job DermottB!

I ran into similar situations as well, and I am referring just to the cause as "a ghost in the machine".

PS, its useful to us if you mark the correct and helpful posts here and set the State of the thread "reply".

    Hi Frank,.

I think that your hard drive may have failed. Unfortunately, the recovery CD Toshiba you tried is that used to reinstall your operating system and reformat your hard disk. If this process has started and then stuck at 3%, then chances are you erased what was originally on your hard drive and the process of re - install then had problems to restore the operating system.

I suggest that you try to boot from the recovery again CD and look at messages and guests you get.

  • Play, stop after 15 seconds on iPod Shuffle

My wife I recently purchased an iPod Shuffle and headphones Skullcandy method for Christmas. The plan was to use for the race (Skullcandy are more comfortable than most of the Earbud Headphones, Apple included).

Unfortunately, when I try to play music after about 15 seconds of reading the track abruptly fades, and then stops. If I press play again, the track will start again then wither and stop after 15 seconds... and so on! The battery is fully charged. The period of time until the music stops seems very accurate, so I don't think it's a bad connection.

I've not had much luck trying to find the question - this request doesn't seem to be that common. States of FAQ of SKULLCANDY headphones are compatible with my iPod model: http://www.skullcandy.eu/customer-service/faq/faq.html

I tried without success to the following:

    • Restore the iPod
    • Using disk utility to analyze and repair the iPod
    • Let it take over completely (just in case where iTunes has been somehow misreading of the amount of charge on the iPod)

I tried with another too - Apple and some AKG - helmet which seems to fix the problem. BUT the Apple headphones are useless for the race and my AKGs are reserved for the studio. I want to use the Skullcandy headphones! It is a 3.5 mm jack, it should work!

    So, my questions are:

    1. All the world had or heard about this problem (with Skullcandy or any other headphones)?
    2. There is a known compatibility issue? (I don't like about the features of the control of the headphone button works with the iPod - I want just works fine).
    3. Anyone have any suggestions to solve this problem or a work-around, before buying a new helmet?

    Thank you

If it works correctly with other headphones, the cause must be the Skullcandy headphones.  It is defective, or design is not compatible in some way.  It seems that these headphones have controls on the cord.  There may be a short circuit that is causing a faulty signal playback.

"15 seconds" is maybe the shuffle 'expire' because it does not recognize the headset is connected.  The adjustment can be different between helmet, in order to ensure that the plug is fully inserted into shuffle headphones Jack.  It is tighter than expected when shuffle is brand new.

You have another device, like an iPhone, try with the Skullcandy?  Or you can also try with your iMac.  Your iMac can use the power cord remote control signals, as well to launch iTunes and play a song to see if anything unusual occurs.

I have a good software entering (and identification number is located on the computer), but I can't find anywhere to download on a recovery disc (CD)?

    Very frustrating!

    Hello

There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

    See you soon.
