esx5 does not configurations...

I have several boxes of esxi floating around. I have a server running a T310 MOU with a boot drive USB for esx. We have 3 servers migrated to it and set it to auto-start. When the box of esx restart auto-start is disabled again. When I allow it, it shows the servers several times as set of auto-start.

We have since set up a server virtual machine, and it does not appear in the list of vmware. We've added, and he "disappears" also after a reboot. We can easily add enough and start it, but need to reboot/power loss the casual etc., makes it a bit frustrating.

Others that return and make another installation of the o/s someone has any ideas on where to get?

It is indeed weird and I've not seen this before.

There might be something wrong with the USB flash drive, or it may be affected locked to read-only.

Why I say this is because the inventory of the host and settings is saved on the USB drive.

ESXi USB boots and then runs in memory

Looks like the changes that you make, config or new virtual machines in the inventory will not be saved.

Please allow points to useful/correct answers

You may not be able to start the XP Installer since the machine is new. Go around it and achieve your plan running XP, you can run it by using a virtual machine like VirtualBox. See this video on how to do in this regard.

  • FixIt center operating system is not compatible Windows and update does not work due to 8007066

I have an Asus Essentio with Windows 7 Professional. Although the computer was working ok, I installed the FIX It Professional [I bought it to install on my computer to girls] for the interview. Since then, I had several problems with slow MSN Mail and slow performance. I uninstalled the product and to restore the computer to the date of installation of the software. Here are some of the problems I have:

When you try to run Microsoft difficulty It Center I get a message "the operating system is not compatible and must be XP or newer" which it obviously. I've used this program in the past without any problems and actually have a user account, but it still does not work.

Trying to access Microsoft support told me that the software is not "enabled" even though it says it's under System properties, and the product number is not saved, even if it has been for more than 8 months.

Whenever I click on the MSN butterfly, a security message wonder if Explorer is allowed to make changes to my computer. Not a big deal, but remember why nobody liked Vista and I would like to get rid of him.

A Windows Update does not work due the 8007066f, who doesn't have a solution, but updated logo keeps interrupting my work.

    Thanks for any help.

I suggest an Inplace upgrade to fix your computer.

The upgrade in place is a tool to fix the system. Thanks to the special upgrade process, we will be able to repair the system. The upgrade in place will not affect the settings like photos, movies, documents, etc. that are saved on the computer. Although this operation will not remove or modify the files and installed programs, I suggest always that you back up important files before you do. In addition, you may need to reinstall the device drivers after this operation.

The detailed steps are included as below:

    On-site upgrade
    ====================
1 log on to the system first.
    2. Insert the Windows 7 DVD in the DVD drive of the computer.
    3. Click Start and select computer.
    4. find the "setup.exe" file in the DVD-ROM and double-click it.

    5. click on install now.

    6. When you are prompted to enter the product key, please click Next directly without entering any key. The installation wizard will prompt and ask if you confirm to install Windows 7 without the key and choose please confirm.

    7. When you get to the screen ' which type of installation you want', click upgrade to upgrade the Windows 7 system files.

Note: When running the upgrade on the spot, the system will restart automatically (several times) to merge the files and programs, please leave the computer alone and does not configure it until the 'upgrade on the spot"finished. The system should start Windows 7, once it is upgraded. Once the computer is running "upgrade on the spot", you can go and leave the computer and it completes automatically.

Let us know if that helps.

I have no navigation bar since I closed it to have more space on the screen. It will not re - open. I deleted Firefox and re-installed and it always opens with the same faulty configuration. • GetCommand does not return my configuration of entry points?

If I'm in a file of sequence of customer and I want to run dynamically my own configuration entry point in the process model which is the best way to do this?

I try to get the application manager through a step of the activex using Engine.GetInternalOption (InternalOption_ApplicationmManager), and then I choose the GetCommand with CommandKind_ConfigurationEntryPoints_Set method.  It will use only a clue to one of the entry points setting 3 by default (report, model Options, or Options of database Options).  If I try to make my own, it throws an index out of range.  It's position to James Grey here: http://forums.ni.com/t5/NI-TestStand/Calling-a-Configuration-Entry-Point-from-a-C-code-module/td-p/1... Any thoughts?

When you run again you do execution of process template or a direct call to the sequence? If you make an execution of process model with a sequence of the client file and the specified model, it must call reminders. I don't know why the case of app Manager you try does not work. Maybe someone else can help with that. I wanted to just suggest the new approach of the execution because it looks simpler.

  • Windows XP restarts all the time; does not start mode safe mode and last known Configuration does not work either

Hello! Recently, I installed Wubiand appreciates well. However, a few days ago, when I tried to boot XP on my netbook (EEE PC 1005hab), it restarts just constantly return to the selection screen of the BONES. I tried Safe Mode and last good Configuration known with anything will do. What should I do now? Ubuntu has not stopped working suddenly, so I can't access my data.

I don't have to have a Windows XP CD, there is something weird Asus recovery instead. In addition, it is a netbook so I don't have an optical drive to run the recovery CD. I'm doing a Livecd of Linux USB so I can back up my data... but I can do but reinstall at this point?

    Thank you.

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD drive (even an external).

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

If there is a problem starting, XP is configured to automatically try to start again and you can stuck in a loop not being able to go beyond the screen boot options, or none of these startup options you choose will work only.

Sometimes, when XP has a problem starting or falls down and tries to start again, it will give you a "short" menu of boot options and none of them will appear to be good to get your system going again.  You have tried them all!

The options are similar to the Advanced Boot Options menu XP, but the only option that you need (disable automatic error system reboot) are not offered, because XP went too far during the boot process and offers a limited number of boot options.

If this is the case, you must call Options menu advanced boot yourself until you do not see the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

When you get the XP Advanced Options correct start menu, it has options on it like these:

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt

    Enable Boot logging
    Enable VGA mode
Last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
    Debug mode
Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

    Start Windows normally
    Reset
    Return to OS Choices Menu

You need to choose in this menu is the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

Then if XP does not start normally, you will see an error screen with information and clues about the problem and then you can decide what to do next.

If you do not see the automatic restart on system failure option turn it off, you must reset your system and start typing the key F8 on the keyboard until you see her disable automatic restart on system failure option.

If you miss the window of opportunity F8, you must try again and start pressing the F8 key with more urgency (earlier and more frequently) until you see disable automatic restarts on system failure, and then select it.

You must keep trying the F8 menu until you see disable automatic restart on system failure option, and select it.

Answering queries and results report of the disable automatic restart on system failure screen and you can decide what to do next.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

I need YOUR voice and the points for helpful answers and propose responses. I'm saving for a pony!
