  • Ethernet adapter Thunderbolt often fails

    Hello

I recently bought an original Ethernet Thunderbolt adapter for my MBP (retina, 13 inches, mi 2014) El Capitan (10.11.3) running. The adapter not detected first upward, but had it also runs after a PRAM reset, by changing the network preferences file (using this response Thunderbolt Ethernet does not work after upgrade to Yosemite).

But the adapter fails to get detected when the system wakes up after going to sleep. Even after reboot, there is no guarantee that the adapter works perfectly. Information system will either say Thunderbolt: driver not found or give an error as the screenshot attached. If a reset of the PRAM is made, the device is detected and everything works fine until the next stop and sleep. Whenever I need to get this working I have to reset PRAM. Can someone guide me if there is a material error in the adapter or update a problem with the El Capitan? Has been very frustrating to get this working!

While the adapter is connected create a new location in system preferences / networks, order of Service Set so Thunderbolt Bridge is the top of the order and apply it.

    Should work.

  • Slow Ethernet to Thunderbolt (35 mb/s)

    Hello world

I'm here because I've tried everything, I found online, but nothing works for me. I would like to reach the full potential of cable (~112mb/s). Unfortunately, the transfer speed is only about 35 MB/s. With exactly the same set up, as described below, but with my old Macbook Alu (2008) with an SSD, I reached 108 - 111 MB/s.

    How I tested

For the purpose of my test, I'm trying to copy a file-ZIP of 7 GB of 1000-2000 photos of a Synology DS1812 + (A 8 disk Raid server) to my Macbook Pro retina (end 2013) i5 2.6 GHz 8 GB. But here's a little map of my connection:

    Server RAID-> 5th son-> (my local ISP) router-> 5th son-> switch-> 5th thread-> Thunderbolt/Ethernet adapter > MBP retina.

I watched the transfer with the activity monitor, Little Snitch speed and the speed of download from my server own activity monitor, it should be OK.

What I tried to solve this problem:

    • Restart
    • Change Ethernet adapter Thunderbolt (35 MB/s-> 38 - 40 MB/s)
    • Boot mode safe (Shift key)
    • Create a new user on my mac
    • Disable filter Little Snitch network
    • Little Snitch Agent hit with activity monitor
    • Try again with the Macbook Air from a friend (seems to be the same, but only tried it once for a few weeks and I remember a slow connection)
    • Delete all my network connection profile, create a new
    • Turn off the Wifi

I think I said it all. Any ideas?

Hello.  You did it ensure that the connection has been properly negotiated in system preferences > network > Thunderbolt Ethernet > advanced > hardware?  The configuration is usually set to automatic.  The speed should be 1000baseT and full-duplex with flow control (I think there is an energy efficient Ethernet definition too... "(but I'm on wifi at the moment I can't see the Ethernet settings) and a MTU of 1500."  If the speed and duplex are wrong, they will have to be changed manually.

  • Best for PC to Macbook Pro Ethernet adapter to transfer files

    Hello

I was looking for a straight answer to this question. I am a new Mac user (Woo hoo) and I need to transfer my files from a PC to my new Macbook pro. Which is the best ethernet adapter (if this is important) do so... a USB adapter or the adapter thunderbolt?

I thought I read that love at first sight was the fastest, but then I read that I might have a question of transfer to a PC.

    Thanks in advance!

The best ethernet adapter's ethernet cable connecting ports ethernet on both computers.

There is no need to bother with love at first sight or USB to do this.

  • Ethernet adapter does not

I can't get the hang of lightning Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (MD463LL/A) working on my Macbook Pro 15 inch 2014 (11.2).

When I plug the unit in each port thunderbolt I don't see anything on the screen. However, when I look in the section "Thunderbolt" in system information, I see the following:

When I look in Network preferences, I don't see anything:

And when I try to add a new network interface, ethernet Thunderbolt is not listed:

I searched around for this problem, and some have recommended the removal of all interfaces, killing the networkpreferences plist and restart. I tried this, and it did not help.

Also, I went back the dongle assuming that I just got a bad copy and bought a new one. The same problem.

Any ideas would be very appreciated.

Did you turn off wifi and move the Thunder bolt to the top of the list. Set to zero if necessary

  • Equium P200: realtek ethernet adapter Linux installation error

I have an old Equium P200 - 1Ed, who started to play up.

When I try to install Linux, it gives me an error for realtek ethernet adapter and I studied the problem on the forums.

Apparently, my hard drive is old and decrepit.

I tried to reinstall Vista from the default Toshiba CD, just out of curiosity, and installed fine, except, seemed unwilling to connect internet.

Tried Linux, but still the same problem from realtek.

Apparently I can download the driver bios flash and try to reinstall the bios... it looks like my last hope.

Anyone know where I can get the bios driver for P200-1ED?

Updates to the BIOS, you can find on toshiba BIOS support page - http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_bios.jsp

To be honest I don't know if the BIOS update will help with the installation of Linux, but you can try it.

  • Satellite L770 - ethernet adapter has stopped working

    Hello
I have three laptops all connectable to my home hub, but I seem to have serious problems with the latest model, L770-13D. The signal strength has never been as good as the older models, and most recently the Ethernet adapter has stopped working. I have updated drivers on the two adapters, but it did make a difference. I recently updated my connection and I wonder if the Ethernet adapter is not configured correctly because it was working fine before the upgrade.

I also tried almost all the tests I can do - Toshiba config doctor returned a FAILURE on the verification of the material that I did, but the device manager says that the two network cards work OK. Also, troubleshooting reports wireless adapter that it "can be a problem", the evidence seems to be directed towards a hardware problem with this laptop.

    Any thoughts?

Have you noticed this Ethernet problem on the first day? Otherwise, I recommend you to reinstall the OS using original recovery image and test once more with the factory settings. Recovery image contains the drivers right and tested. It is also configured to be used immediately after the first start, so it shouldn't be a problem.

    Have you ever done this?

  • Cannot install Ethernet adapter integrated into my 300 S1700

    Hi guys,.

I reinstalled my S1700-300 Satellite with W2K Pro. At the back of the laptop, it is possible to connect an ethernet cable, left for the modem, labeled plugin with "Ether". But Win2k is not able to find the ethernet adapter, do you know what to do or do you know where to find the driver of fitting for her?
I also looked at the manual provided to Toshiba, but for this model nr. There is no information on an ethernet card, but I'm sure that on mine is a.

    Thank you

    Hi Babsi

Please go to http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com. Under Support & downloads, you can find download drivers. Select your type of machine, OS and driver. There you can find driver LAN for W2K.

  • Satellite C665 - Ethernet adapter has stopped working

    Hello
A few weeks ago, I noticed that the ethernet adapter has stopped working. It has disappeared from the Device Manager, and I can only access internet by wifi.

When I turn off wifi and connect the ethernet cable (which connects to the modem) nothing works.
I tried to restore the windows settings, but that didn't work.

    Can someone help me?

It is possible that the LAN module is defective.
All you can do now is to check and install the original recovery image and check the functionality with the factory settings. If the problem persists it is definitely hardware problem.

I think that it is not worth to fix it if you can continue to work with WLAN connectivity.
What do you think of this?

  • ProBook 430 G3: USB ethernet adapter cannot be enabled.

    Hello

I have to connect the public network with integrated lan card and share another PC via the USB ethernet adapter.

After installation of the USB adapter, the card is automatically disabled and it displays the error code 22 in Device Manager.

Once I click on activate the device, it can be activated for less than 1 second, and then goes back to the people with reduced mobility.

This condition occurs on these two chip axis and the Realtek chip.

Are there solutions to enable the USB card successfully?

I found the root cause that there is an application automatically disabled my NIC after the slaughter of the application, the NETWORK adapter can be enabled correctly.

  • Use of the USB to Ethernet adapter to find cRIO Systems

    Hi all

I'm trying to connect to one OR cRIO-9066 to my laptop using USB-to-Ethernet adapter.  But I have a problem with it; Find VI systems shows no results unlike the direct connection via the ethernet port on the laptop.  I wish that the connection of the USB-to-Ethernet adapter to support this feature as well.  I would like to know if somebody did, and I hope a solution to this.

Here's my setup. I bought the adapter USB-to-Ethernet of RadioShack. I connect the adapter to a USB port on my laptop. The adapter is the female Ethernet port on the other end. I directly connect cRIO and the adapter using a crossover ethernet cable. What is of note is that ethernet connection works.  I can specify the IP address of the cRIO then I can communicate with crio in the same configuration. However, finding systems VI cannot find any system.  LabVIEW 2015, is what I use.

Instead of using the adapter, if I use a direct connection via the ethernet port on the laptop, find systems VI works fine.

Any help or suggestion is appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

After all, my conclusion to this problem has been the model of Ethernet USB card I was using was not good.

Gigaware USB to adapter Ethernet (from Radio Shack) was working not with find systems VI on my environment even though it is still able to connect to CRIO if I know the IP address. I even had the other, but the result was the same.  The solution for me was to use another model of the BADGE, which is NS-PU98505. It is cheaper, but has worked with find systems VI.

I don't know what's behind the different behaviour, but the issue is resolved on my end for now.

Thank you all for all the tips and ideas. Congratulations to all!

  • Update the driver Via Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter

    Help, please!

I can update my Via Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter driver with the 3.84.0.1 64 bit version of Windows XP same dough I'm running a 32-bit Windows XP?

I could not find a version to 32 bit Win XP.

My current driver version is 3.32.0.417, and a few programs scan driver free, that I found on the Internet it were classified as 'old '. My Internet connection isn't going very well.

    My system information:

Widows XP, home edition, service pack 3, version 2002, intel celeron 420 CPU @ 1.60 Ghz, 160 Ghz, 384 MB RAM

Thank you very much and God bless you!

    Tiberiu, Romania

    # No, if it's only for XP - 64.

A driver is 'old' does not mean that you need to replace.  The general rule for Windows drivers is, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."  You should only update a driver if the device does not work correctly and you have reason to believe that the driver is at fault, or (b) the new pilot adds features that you want or need.

OTOH, if you go to the real Web SITE (instead of random file download sites), you can find a driver for XP 64 and XP (i.e., XP-32) who seems to be newer than yours - version 3.87.  This driver is for the following models, which can be yours (you have failed to identify the specific model you have).

Integrated VT8251, VT8231, VT8233, VT8235 & VT8237 integrated (Rhine & Rhine II), VT6103 Rhine (PHY), VT6105/L/LOM and VT6106/H/L/S series (Rhine III), VT6105M management Fast Ethernet Controller (Rhine III), VT6115 Fast Ethernet Controller (Rhine III), VT6107 Fast Ethernet Controller (Rhine & Rhine II)
