Ethernet broken on C7280

I have a HP Photosmart C7280 has a broken ethernet outlet. My printer went from the one year warranty.

Is is possible to replace the Jack? The cable will not stay in the socket/port.

If it cannot be replaced, what are my options?

Thank you.

Are you sure it's the plug and not the cable?

The plug replacement is major surgery, and without instructions, there is a high risk of damage to other systems.  I would not recommend it.

    Hello

So I have a sbRIO-9636 and I worked on it for a while. Have had no real problems with it, but the other day when I started it up it is just on the network. After checking the hardware (cables and switch), I noticed that the connector ethernet LED are lit (green) as soon as the sbRIO is turned on even if there is no ethernet cable connected. If I plug in an ethernet cable activity LED begins to blink continuously. There is no sign of her on the side of the switch. The port State LED is off and there is no trace of the sbRIO MAC address. I tried to put in safe mode, but the same behavior just keeps repeating itself.

Needless to say, it does not appear to the MAX and he cannot be crazy.

I'm about to get your hands on a cable to try to connect to the serial port and see if I can get some information about the function of the Console, but I thought I'd check if anyone here have seen this behavior a sbRIO and perhaps successful solve. It's sad to say, I did not have much hope for unity but maybe worth it.

    Thank you

    Nimgaard,

There is nothing of National Instruments can recommend to repair this unit. I would recommend calling our support and explaining what happened. They will know if the unit is still under warranty and can you get in touch with one of our RMA coordinators who can help you deal with this. This option can be less expensive than buying a new unit.

  • broken Ethernet code

    Dear Apple ~

The love affair is over. I'm so done. Worked all weekend to get my ethernet option after he was broken in the silent update. I don't know what is happening with your QA, but certainly there is a huge problem out there. Apps crash (FaceTime), silent updates * pause * ethernet port... I don't know what to say! I've been a reliable customer since 2004. But I'm sorry... it is simply unacceptable. Apple becomes synonymous with "does not work".

    Sigh.

Looking at going back to the PC. That will be a pain because now I'm so used to Apple. You've had a good run, but it's over.

You don't talk about Apple here.

    You talk to other users.

We're here to help if you stop ranting and explain what your problem is. If not go get yourself the PC you are threatening to get. It is not important to us.

  • C7280 problem of Ethernet connection

I have a C7280 and it is connected by ethernet to my network.  Worked without any problems for a while, but when I turned it on today, it gets an IP address and then he loses.  When I check the Ethernet on the back, the green link light is coming and then jump - he's not stay lit.  Any thoughts?

The sequence of Ethernet autonegotiation between the printer and the router could be at fault.  Let's try an experiment:

    1. On the C7280, select settings, then network, then Advanced Configuration
    2. Select the link speed
    3. Try the 100-Full setting.  Does that help?

If 100 full does not help, try full 10 and 100-half and finally 10 half.

I used the restore points from when I tried to update the driver but that has stopped working.

    Hello

    Please contact Microsoft Community.

First I suggest you work on corruptions of registry and for this try the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

Start the computer in safe mode, and then run SFC

Start your computer in safe mode

  • C7280 all-in-One - download block at 12%, then 45% and prints a page at a time - broken pipe

Print Download hangs at 12% and 45%, then quit printing with error message "order - cannot print data. Broken pipe.  This can be corrected?

    Hi JGarner98,

An error in conduct broken is a programming construct that is designed for data "pipe" from one point to another. From the description you have provided, it seems that yout said operating system which is has lost the ability to write the date on the printer. This is usually caused by some kind of corruption in the CUPS printing system.

CUPS consists of a print spooler and Scheduler, a filter system that converts the print data in a format that the printer will understand and a back-end system that sends this data to the print device. CUPS uses the IPP (Internet Printing) Protocol as a basis for the management of the work of printing and queues. - Source

To resolve this problem, I think that the best approach is to reset the printing system, repair disk permissions, add the printer using the driver and try to print again.

    Reset the printing system

    1. Click on the Apple icon ( ), then click on System Preferences.

  • Why the extreme to express signal is broken

I have an Airport Extreme b, g, n, ac cable (ethernet) to my router Verizon Wireless. The router has been updated by Verizon end of last year and works very well. From there, I have an iMac with 802.11 b/g/n/ac cable into the extreme as well. I have a Windows pc in another room wired with ethernet to the extreme as well.

At the back of my house, I have an Airport Express b/g/n I used to extend my Airport Extreme signal for the past 18 months without any problem. I had problems of signal with the Express and it seems to re-defining the Express worked, but the image of my signal has changed my Airport utility on my iMac. Previously, the signal was solid from the far down to the Express, and the image on my iPhone 6, at the launch of my Airport utility has been broken from the extreme to the Express.

Now the images are reversed where my iPhone has the solid signal, and my iMac broke the line signal. Someone knows why? It works, but the lines threw me.

A dotted line between the terminal of the AirPort Express and AirPort Extreme indicates that the Express connects to the extreme by using a wireless connection.

What do you want?... or... the Express linking to the extreme by using a wired Ethernet cable connection?  If If this is the case, there should be a continuous line between the Express and Extreme.

What device do you have used when you reset and reconfigured the Express... the iMac or the iPhone?

Did you completely turn off the iPhone, has waited a minute or two and then he fed up and checked the AirPort utility again this way?

  • Pavilion HP 11: ethernet port on hp pavilion 11 fried... solution... ?

    Hi all

new to the forum here and decided to join because I have a little problem with my laptop...

I did something stupid today. I tried to program a hitachi PLC with my laptop and accidentally hooked the ethernet cable to the port of evil on the controller (the port that would normally connect to a touchscreen / HMI) with the result that my port ethernet on my laptop got fried. After a few seconds smoke started coming on my laptop from under the keyboard so I quickly janked out cable ethernet. It's only there for a few seconds, but the damage was already done.

On the good side of things: everything seems to work OK again. WiFi still works. Only problem is that this laptop has a single ethernet port and I really need this port.

I took the cover but nothing obvious comes out. I know it's kind of a vague question to ask; but someone would have ideas on what could have broken and how to check what might be broken and what not?

I'm not very familiar with computers is passing, so forgive my lack of knowledge.

    Thanks in advance

A network card is not present, there is a wireless adapter.

Ultrabooks like yours with RJ-45 ports do not have separate wired adapters that can be replaced.

The NETWORK adapter is part of the motherboard and is not replaceable individually.

Given that yours was smoked checked there may be some damage of traces on the motherboard.

With the help of a mulitimeter won't help in any way. Even at big books in ancient times the NIC was part of the motherboard. A ultrabook is not a desktop computer. Motherboards same office have the network cards integrated into the chipset.

Replacing a motherboard, this is how your network port fried will have to be resolved. Otherwise, to avoid the cost of replacing the motherboard, use the USB cable card NETWORK adapter.

Under the guarantee, the induced lesions of the RJ-45 port owner is not covered. It's an excluded damage type.

  • HP Envy 15-ae103nc: HP Envy 15 broken coverage taken lan

    Hello

Lan on my HP coverage is broken. The part of midle bit in the lid which is supposed to take the ethernet cable is gone. EBay is full of lids of replacements, but not this particular one. Is it possible to get it / any place I can order from? I can replace it myself but I can't find the piece in the store of spare parts of HP. Thank you.

    Hi @Okamensky,

Thank you for your participation in the Forums of HP Support! It is a great location to get resolutions and interact with experts from the community. I understand that you have problems with a broken plug LAN cover. It will be a pleasure to help you.

Did a remarkable job to do your copious research to find the right piece before asking your question in the forums of HP. It's always a great pleasure to work with tech-savvy and technically customers sounds like you. Kudos to you for this. I am amazed to see your technical skills, replace it with yourself and certainly value your relationship with HP. We greatly appreciate you for doing business with HP and I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you.

First of all, as the cover of LAN is not sold in a separate part, you must replace the speaker all background Panel or the base of the unit, as it is integrated. You can visit this link to order the part: http://partsurfer.hp.com so if please select the country and enter the product # unit and search to identify the desired parts. You can also call the part store and give them a product name # and the model of your device to be able to help you order the right part. The phone number is registered on the Web site.

I really hope that the problem is solved without hassle and the computer works great. I hope this helps. Please let me know how it works.

  • Satellite U200: lost ethernet RJ45 connector

On my brand new U200-163 the RJ45 ethernet connector can up and down to about 1 mm. The connector is not tightly screwed into the chassis or motherboard. U200 owners, it's the same and normal with your machines?

Thank you for your answers and sorry for my broken English.

    Hello

Well, on my Satellite (not U200) connector LAN doesn't move up and down.
I put t know why it moves on your laptop. Possible that a screw loses a little.

Your device is new and the warranty is valid. You could ask the service partner for more details.
But in my opinion it of not a serious problem and 1 mm move is not worth mentioning.

  • Dynadock 3.0 Ethernet works not regardless of the used OS

To integrate a new laptop in my environment, I bought a designed with Gigabit-Ethernet Dynadock yesterday - ideal 3.0 and 5.1 Audio.

Supported Windows 8.1 in a perfect way, I updated the Firmware in a first step to the release of December, which was a big mistake!

I haven't checked with the former, but the new firmware seems defective!

Each device is installed without problem on 3 laptops (Win 7 x 86, Win 7 x 64 and Win x 64 8.1), but none of this notebook, the dynadock ethernet device working.

It is shown as properly installed and works, but it does not receive any package Ethernet - to send, if I think that the statistics of the network of the operating system. Nowhere, I could find no clue to identify a driver problem. As the ethernet port receives no response from the dhcp server, the operating system shows a yellow "!" in the status-symbol bar.

    That's all.
I checked the connection even with an old-to-ethernet-adapter USB, which has been a success.

So far, I suppose, that the FW is broken, because, if the drivers are o.k. and connection is OK as well, the only other explanation would be that the HW is broken, which seems unlikely for a new device.

    Any other idea?
    Similar experience? Advice?

I'll send the device back, to get a new one? Will there be a fix for FW available soon?
Can I reinstall the old FW (how)?

    BR
    Guido

    > but none of this notebook, the dynadock ethernet device working.

First you must download the latest version of software (compatible with Win 8.1) of displaylink page:
    http://www.DisplayLink.com/support/downloads.php

You should also read the article on upgrading to Win 8.1
    http://www.DisplayLink.com/support/ticket.php?id=346

If LAN is not recognized you must manually update the Dynadock U3 LAN driver. To search for drivers in the folder: C:\Program Files\DisplayLink base logiciels\

Try also to forward the authentication settings of the internal to the external network adapter.
Open the properties of the internal network card and choose the parameters of the tab "authentication."

Now check the option titled enable IEEE 802. 1 x authentication for this network
    Choose EAP type: EAP (PEAP)

Also check the option called authenticate as computer when computer information is available

After you apply the settings on this tab map LAN Dynadock, it should work without any problems.
