  We intend to deploy an update to Firefox on our campus. The question I have is this: after the update, the "compatibility of the add-on Checker" appears, then the 'What's new' page appears during the first boot after the update. In this case: we use Deep Freeze to prevent kids to do any mischief based on software on the machines. But if we push the update at night, during maintenance windows, they will be frozen in the pre-first-time-run mode. So, whenever a student starts the PC after that, they will get the popup of compatibility both the "What's new" page

  Is there a way I can disable that during the upgrade, so that students will not have to click on these 2 points away? I would like for Firefox just silently disable incompatible modules and do not display the page "news". I found ways to do it, but they involve editing omni.jar and others. I'd rather have a formal, documented way to do this.

  Well, eventually nothing worked, except all the settings I wanted to put in part of mozilla.cfg. When I added your suggestion, and one I found on the web to disable add-on compatibility check, I finally have a Firefox that loads directly to the homepage, even after the upgrade.

  Here's what my mozilla.cfg file contains (to 6.0.2):

• KB973687 - msxml3.dll msxml6.dll - services.exe uses excessive virtual memory, the performance impact on the first logon after restart

  Since the installation of fix KB973687, I had several SP2 and SP3 systems exhibit behavior that makes them unusable until after the first logon is completed, which can take up to 20 minutes.   I've identified the patch (KB973687) and DLLs, that it will update the origin of the problem, but uninstalling the patch does NOT return to normal operation.

  I need to understand how to upgrade these systems WindowsXP SP2 and SP3 to restore normal operation, reinstalling Windows, programs, and settings is an expensive solution.

  The performance problem is caused by services.exe slowly consumes about 1.5 GB of virtual memory, and then slowly releasing.  This seems to be triggered by the first logon after restart, this connection is very slow, the screen is blank for most of it, there might be failures of allocation memory during logon.  Once complete this opening of session and memory usage returns to normal levels, recording and return to work normally as do other operations until the system is restarted.

  Spent a lot of time working with SysInternals Process Explorer, trying to find what specific service might be involved, lightweight system for bare essential services with no luck.

  KB973687 seems to offer only two files msxml3.dll and msxml6.dll.  Uninstalling this patch, resettlement V3 and V6 of the XML parser fail to restore normal operation.

  Not all systems seem to have place still restrict the differences.  Systems that are appear to be the oldest, with Windows XP has been installed for at least a year, installed Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

  Looking for these forums and the Internet, I believe that many have encountered this problem, but have not is it this level of analysis, seem most attribute it to a virus, I see several start explorer.exe manually, I didn't know all the alternatives before reinstalling Windows.

  Found the solution, the following has been fixed in System Cleaner of Comodo 2.2.129172.4:

  "For some strange reason, after changing some settings of the system with the CSC LastGood.tmp Directoy began to constantly be read from my hard drive. This would occur up to about 90 to 99% of my memory was used and then stopped, begin to free the memory, and the system began to slowly to function normally.
  I used the process explore from sysinternals to help diagnose the problem with any process other than services.exe using memory.

  I used sysinterals filemonitor to see LastGood.tmp directory has been read repeatedly.
  After you have uninstalled CSC the problem has been resolved. »

  Even with the effort to find the solution, it was better to reinstall.  Hope this solution helps others.

I uninstalled at least 3 times now and it won't work says incompatible application.  Another thing I did was select run as personal button I think I've done worse. I don't know how to deselect or cancel that. It is to select pack 2 for XP, it does not work. I don't see Windows 7 in the list of compatlble.

  If you are running Windows 7, then you don't benefit from this solution in the list Compatibility Mode as the Mode by default when nothing else is checked.

  It's more to do with the word processor on Windows. You don't say what word processing software you use. If you use WordPad which comes free with Windows, it is impossible to do what you want to do. However, if you are using Microsoft Office Word (that you can buy) then the CAP is set by default.

  Without the help of Adobe I tried to use the AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.

  In the user guide for AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool Adobe says contact us if there are errors in the log after you run this tool and guess what there are errors in the log file, but there is no way to contact the Support from Adobe and to get this other file for them. I've been a customer of creative cloud for months, and use that I got from her was ridiculously low all this lack of reliability. I really miss the days you installed only once a year and maybe fix something and then you were set for a year of cruise with your Adobe products. I am very disappointed, and unless Adobe can help I'll leave Adobe forever because there is no excuse to sell something that does not work and do not provide support at the same time.   I was wondering what I should first update after using the recovery for the t400 cd. Should I update all updates of Thinkvantage or Microsoft updates? I only ask because I think that it caused problems before for me when I went initially to the vista business operating system. I don't remember what I have updated first then.

  Or maybe someone has a list or order of updates that they would suggest. for example, update the graphics card via thinkvantage, but not through microsoft?

  Which is the best graphic card (fromNvidia) for the first and after? In order to improve the performance of preview and rendering time.

  It's the Gtx 970 good enough? or do I have to go to the 980ti?

  Is there any other better Nvidia in both these needs?

  I have these specs and I work in Full HD:

  I7 4900, 32 GB of ddr3 memory, ssd.

  I don't know about these two maps first, but AE the GPU makes very little difference at all.

  The current version of AE uses the GPU to very little. The ray-traced rendering engine is the only great thing that AE uses the GPU and this feature is now considered obsolete.

  That being said, if you are using third-party plugins for AE using the GPU (as, for example), it's a different story. For the element, I heard that the 970 GTX is the best bang for your buck; the 980-up would not be worth the price difference.
