  Problem: Solution Center fails to install - shortcut icon is present, but each time Center is launched, it tries to install a missing element, the applications disc.  This can be cancelled with 2-3 closures of the window installation and the request for the drive.  Printer and scanner can then be controlled form the screen with the mouse, but Center tries intermittently to install the missing module.  VERY ANNOYING.

• Photosmart 6520: Photosmart 6520 Print Null Imiging update fails to install

  Update Windows 10 every day shows that the HP Photosmart 6520 Imiging Null print update could not be installed.  My printer works fine, I have uninstalled and installed the current driver, when I have the printer check updates, it says that the program is updated.

  Is that what I can do to stop the daily message installation failed in Windows Update?

  I did some research on the problem of another user, and looks like it's just a ghost update.  Basically, an update 'ghost' is an update that was for the device, but unit has newer drivers which causes the update failing to keep.  The only thing you can do is to hide the update, or ignore it.  Windows will continue to try to push it, but your printer does not need it.  If she didn't need the update, it would install right.  You can find the thread where I helped another user below.  I hope this helps.

  I have the printer Photosmart 6520 on the ip address and running windows 8.1

  When I run the wizard of the printer for scanning on side Windows everything works fine

  I understand your concerns. It seems that your printer software has a conflict. Please follow these steps to try to solve your problem:

  Uninstall your software from the control panel of your computer. I'll give you a document here, HP to help achieve these steps.

  Then clean your Temp folder on your computer. I'll give you a YouTube video on this step here.

  Before installing the software on your computer, please follow this HP document using Microsoft System Configuration. Only perform the Figure 2, Figure 3 and figure 4, but exclude number 5 in the present document. Perform no other action.

  Now, install the full software features from the CD or the Web HP heresite. Please choose your operating system that is appropriate; 32-bit or 64-bit.

  Subsequently, perform step 5 in the document "using Microsoft System Configuration ' . This will allow the normal start upward.

  Please send me your troubleshooting steps.

  I want to help you in your investigation of Windows 10 drivers for e-all-in-one printer, HP Photosmart 6520.

  Windows 10 has the same functions of basic Windows 8.1 operating system, so you can actually download and install the drivers for your system Windows 10 8.1 Windows.

  Please note : If your device had fully supported (not just basic printing or scanning) in Windows 7 or 8 then your device is supported, but may not immediately appear on hp.com for Windows 10: Please download Win8.1 drivers and use them (they have been tested and have worked with Win10)

  If you are having problems with the installation package, try to download and run the HP printer installation wizard and it will download the correct software for you.

  Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see from your HP Officejet 6520 uninstalling you now this error message ' there was a problem starting C:\program HP HP Deskjet 1510 series\bin\HPStatusBL.dll .

  " The specified module could not be found ' at startup.

  After some research, I was able to find this solution on Forums, see below:

  For Windows 10 publication RunDLL error (HPStatusBL.dll) check this site:

  (Activate prior the hidden files and folders)

  C:\Users\(your user name) \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

  (Maybe depending on who has installed the software, see other users if you do not do so in your profile)

  Remove the shortcut that HP does not decently cleanup during uninstall:

  Monitor alerts of ink - HP xxxxxxxxxx -Source

• Photosmart 6520: can't get 2 sides Preset to save

  I use this printer connected by USB to an iMac running OS 10.9.5,, but this isn't a new problem.

  I want to print my bank statements using this configuration: double-sided and odd pages only.  I can't get this save as preset. It seems that when I try to save the current settings as a preset, the margins of Destination Size:U.S Two-Sided Letter paper nor the duplex option are registered.  I also tried to use Long Edge binding and which will not save either.  The same problem occurs if I print in a Safari window or if I save the document in PDF format and try to print from an excerpt.

  I have no problem getting the desired result for a single document, but I don't want to change the settings every time I want to print.  Isn't this why we have Presets?

  I would like to help you today with presets for printing problem you encounter when you print to your HP Photosmart 6520 e-all-in-one printer Mac OS X 10.9 operating system. Because your driver is unable to "Save" Presets for future use, I'll run you through a series of software and driver TROUBLESHOOTING steps below to resolve this issue.

  Step 1: Resetting the printing system:

  To begin, I will have you reset the printing system on your Mac. Please click herefor instructions on how to perform the reset. When the site opens, follow the steps under"Reset printing in OS X Lion system" because the steps are the same for Mac OS X 10.9. This Reset deletes each printer on your Mac. However, it does not uninstall printers. Therefore, if use you other printers on the Mac, once the reset is complete simply make sure printers are attached via a USB cable or connected network and (+) add hide them po do add not your HP Photosmart back in right now.

  Once the reset is complete, proceed to the next step.

  Step 2: Uninstall the drivers and software:

  Please click here to find out how to properly uninstall your printer. Once the site opens select the drop down menu 'Mac OS X v10.6, OS X v10.7, OS X v10.8 and OS X v10.9' and follow the steps to complete uninstallation.

  Once the uninstall is complete, please continue on.

  Step 3: Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

  1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
  2. Go to the Utilities folder
  3. Open disk utility
  4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
  5. Select verify disk permissions
  6. Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions

  Step 4: Check the Apple updates:

  1. Go to the Apple
  2. Select System Preferences
  3. Select software update
  4. Click update now
  5. Install your available updates
  6. Computer restart

  Step 5: Reinstall your software and drivers:

  Finally, please click here to download the driver package for your printer. Once the site opens, select the download button at the top left. Once the download is complete, please follow the instructions on the screen to install your printer.

  Once your printer is added in, check the driver to make sure that the driver of the HP Photosmart camera is used and not the driver Apple AirPrint.

  1. click on the menu of Apple , then Preferences System.

  2. click on Print & Scan and then check if the name of your printer appears in the printer list.

  3. click on the name of your printer, click the sign minus (), then remove the printer.

  4. click on the plus sign (), click Add a printer or a Scanner, click the name of your printer.

  5. click on the area of use or with the help of Print and then select the name of your printer on the shortcut menu. Ensure that the Photosmart driver is selected.

  

  6. click Add to add the printer to the list.

  Once the printer is properly added to, please try to save printing Presets again to check if the settings to stick this time.

  I just bought a Photosmart 6520 and try to install eFax.  I clicked on the control panel of the product and have found the button setup eFax tab printing & scanning (as directed by the instructions included with my printer).

  When I click on the eFax Setup button, my browser opens on the creation screen / connect you account for eFax:

  After much research, the only solution I found was to call HP Cloud Services @ 1-855-785-2777.  HP then degenerates the Efax number.  They then plan a time to remind you of your fax number and the password to use.  This has probably happened to 6520 users.  It was set long rather than having the customer go through research, emails, phone calls and waiting for a fax number.

  I had problems with my wireless printer so I removed from my list of device and tried to re-intall.  I did it in the past and it seemed to solve the problem.  This time, my computer is unable to find the printer at all.  I tried to reset my router, my printer and restarted my computer.  He just warned about seaching and said to turn on my printer.  TMy printer is turned on and the wireless signal is strong.  Help, please.

  To check the printer hardware is functional, you are able to print a test page from the printer control panel? Video: printing a Test Page. (The video shows a HP Photosmart 6520, but the same instructions will work with your HP Photosmart 7520).

  You see error messages on the display of the printer?
