failure of backup with CloudKit errors
My iCloud backups have been failing since May 7 with the error "the last backup failed.
It is an iPhone running iOS 9.3.2 6s. I deleted the old backups, backups iCloud extinguished/turned on and restarted my iPhone several times but always regularly backups fail. I have 50 GB of storage iCloud and over 20 GB of available - Indians backups previously consumed only about 3-4GB. I have 15GB of available storage on my iPhone itself. Backups performed for about 2 hours before failing. I have an internet connection broadband and does not suspect the errors on the network.
In order to diagnose this problem, I connected my iPhone to my Mac and captured the underside of the iOS console messages.
This shows CloudKit report errors that cause the backup to be marked as failed.
Everyone knows similar or anyone is able to help solve what could cause this problem?
Thank you

I suggest to rerun the command chkdsk (check disk) and let us know if there are bad sectors found/fixed.
You can also see the following article for more information about the disk check:

Getting the 80070005 error during the backup with windows vista home premium then closes backup
When I use backup in windows I get errors then backup closes. the errors were 0x800700AA and now 0x80070005. I'm not familiar with what they mean but have tried Fixit without success.
Hi Brian,.
This error code means that the file or folder you want to backup does not have the necessary permissions.
Method 1:
If you need to make a backup of any file or folder, please ensure that give you all the permissions for that particular file or folder.
To set the permissions of files, see the procedure below:
a. right click on the file or folder and then click Properties.
b. click the Security tab.
c. under group or user names, click your name to see the permissions you have.
d. If they don't get permission, click on change and give the full control.
e. then check if you are able to backup.
Method 2: Check if you are able to backup by following these steps:
Try to temporarily disable your anti-virus and malware during execution of the backup. If the backup works fine, then you have to search for updates and firewall settings in the security software.
Note: Make sure that you enable the antivirus software, other security and firewall after the test programs.
Method 3:
Disable UAC during backup control.
Enable or disable the User Account Control
Note: Make sure that you enable user account control and the back of the antivirus on the computer after you complete these steps. It is not recommended to disable these settings on the computer. It's just to solve the problem.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.
I would say first of all allows you to check if the Volume Shadow Copy service is running.
1. click on Start, type Services in start search. When the page is open, find shadow copy Volume service.
2. right clickon the Volume Shadow Copy service (VSS) and check whether it is started.
3. If it is stopped, select Start or restart.
Check if you are able to backup.
Step 2: If you have installed a third-party security software, then try to temporarily disable the security software and check what is happening.
Step 3: You can also try to remove the task from the location:
C:\Windows\System32\TasksHow to find which task is damaged or altered.
3. click on Start; Search type cmd in the list on the start menu, programs, right click on cmd and run as administrator.
4. now run the following commandschtasks/query | findstr /i
Search:
ERROR: the task image is damaged or has been tampered with.
ERROR: task cannot be loaded: the task nameFind the name of the task, try deleting the task name, and then try to recreate.
See the link below that solves your problem.
1. click on Start, type Task Scheduler in the start search box, and then click Task Scheduler in the list programs.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
2. in the Actions of the Task Scheduler dialog box, click on create a new task.

Hey Joe,
(a) did you get an error with this error code?
(b) do you remember to make changes on the computer before the show?
This could be the shadow copy Volume service, and SPP services are not started.
To restart the Volume Shadow Copy service and the services of the SPP. You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.
1 open administrative tools by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Administrative Tools.
2. double-click on Services. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3. If the SPP function is disabled, double-click it to open the service properties.
4. If the Volume Shadow Copy service is double-click on it to open the service properties
5. click on the startup type list, click Automatic (delayed start), and then click on apply.
6. under the service status, click Start. If the problem persists, follow the steps in troubleshooting section and check if that helps:

Backup fails with an error of device 0 x 807812.
Original title: device error 0 x 807812
Backup fails with an error of device 0 x 807812. I tried a disk of 1 TB of my book and a Seagate 1 TB Western Digital. Both failed with the same error. The system says that I have the most recent and correct drivers. My computer is Deel Latitude 17r.
Hi James,
Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.
The error would have occurred if the services associated with Windows backup may have been disabled, you can try to restart the service, follow the steps below:
1. click on start.
2 type Services in the start search.
3. in the search for Windows Services of shadow copy Volume in the list.
4. right click on the Service.
5. click on properties.
6. Select the Startup Type to manual.
7. click on OK.
8. repeat the same for the service Windows backup.
If the problem persists, then I suggest you run the chkdsk command, which fix chkdsk errors, follow these steps:
i. Click Start.
II. type cmd in the start search box.
III. right-click on cmd.exe list programs and then select the run as Administrator option.
IV. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
v. in the command prompt window, type the following command and press enter Chkdsk /R
VI. o press when you are prompted to check the drive the next time the system restarts.
VII. close all applications and restart the computer.
Important: Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost
When you restart, Windows checks the drive for errors, and then Windows starts. Now run the disk check in command prompt, follow the steps below:
Now, when you try to perform the backup, I recommend that you can try to disable the temporary security on the computer software and perform a backup, be sure to activate security in the computer software.
Disable the antivirus software:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-softwareNote: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
If you need further assistance on this topic, let know us and we will be happy to help you.

Windows backup will fail with the error code: 2147942402
Hello
I'm trying to run a backup on a Windows SBS Server 2008 using Windows Server Backup to an external 2 TB USB hard drive - I chose the backup once and personalized with "activate System Recovery."
This fails with an error message "the system cannot find the file specified" after having transferred about 28.23 GB of data.
The Event Viewer error code: 2147942402
I tried to run the backup to another device (a disk on a PC on a network) and it successfully without any problem which seems to me some kind of problem with the USB key.
I came across these links: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/979281 and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976972 - but the server I use does not have a USB Host Controller NVIDIA - instead, there "Intel(r) ICH9 Family USB Universal Host Controller" - so I'm hesitant to try this fix.
I'll reformat the USB drive to see if that helps...
Thank you very much
Adrian
