  Client Windows Live Family Safety currently not reported HTTPS traffic unless the web of the child, filtering mode is set to "notify on the adult.  Facebook who worked in HTTP mode has recently moved that the HTTPS site and that's the reason to not see, Facebook or any other site that is HTTPS in the progress report on Windows 7 machines.

  It is resolved in Windows 8 and activity reports should show HTTPS traffic.

  Current work around that for Windows 7 client

  -Set the mode of web filtering to ' warn on adult "- child will receive a warning message if they go to all the adult sites and the parents will be informed in the annual report if the child decides to go to the site.

  I have installed parental control about a week there on the computer that uses my son.  I created a separate account for my son to set up. I received reports of activity very well, until today when there is no report showing and I know that the internet has been used.  According to taskbar icon of security tools for the family in the lower right of the desktop everythings works fine and also on the family safety website.  Can someone tell me what the problem could be please.  The only change I see is that Skype has been downloaded.

• Family safety has stopped working - Windows 7

  I stopped to receive information on the activiteis of my children.

  When I go to the family safety website - the main family PC watch is more.  I reinstalled Security essentials and restarted.

  I checked and the WPCMon process is not running and there is nothing in the status bar for the safety of the family system.

  I am logged in Admin and I can not run the troubleshooting option Family Safety - says I am a regular user.

• Family safety on Windows 7 has completely stopped working, even if she pretends to be on

  Help, please!  The Windows Live Family Safety filter worked well on two of my computers for a few months.  All of a sudden it does not filter anything, well that Family Safety site shows that the filter is activated and the work for each account.  I tried to turn it works, change settings, updating / refreshing the filter, etc., and it did not help.  I discovered and removed a Trojan horse (win32/Neop! gmb) and some adware (win32/BetterSurf) that were on my computer.  Then I tried to uninstall the filter of parental control on both computers, closing my account of the safety of the family and he put everything back in place from scratch.  That does not help either.  The filter will still let us get any site and see adult pictures or videos, even if the filter says it is on and functioning "normally."  I don't know what else to try.

  and it has worked perfectly until about a month.

  Can you please confirm the version of the parental controls installed in your daughter's computer? To check the current version, login your account in Windows parental controls, click on the blue circular button with question mark in the top right of the window and then click parental controls.

  Please also check if Web filtering for your children is set to Allow list only in Windows parental home page? If no, please address to safe list only, this option only allows Web site that you have added to the green list.

  Have you checked by accessing the site blocked in the child's account to see if it's blocked or not?

  Safe family activity reports will include sites that are visited but blocked. Also, sites that was redirected from other sites, or use a feature of this site (such as the Facebook Like function and share) will add also upward to the activity report.

  I suggest you to check by accessing the Web site of the child's account. Also, make sure that the child's account does not use proxy connections.

• Windows 8 family safety

  I bought a HP Pavilion g6-2218nr with Windows 8 (64 bit) for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas and really want to activate the security settings for the family.  No matter what I do, when I go into parental control settings, I get an error "Sorry, we could not make changes to parental controls settings."  I tried:

  -Updating of the BONE

  -a clean install of the operating system

  -change of a local account to a windows account that is linked to me (parent)

  -modification of a local account to a windows related to my daughter account

  Either way, once I started using a Windows account, I tried to go into the settings of PC more-> account settings Online-> permissions-> parental settings and try to activate the parameters of family from there, I see the error "there is a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to receive this message, try again later. »

  If possible, I definitely want to do local accounts rather than linked, but I'm willing to use the linked accounts as long as I can get parental control work.
