  • 7.0 Firefox crashes at startup (including safe mode) as a standard in Windows XP SP3, even after the clean install user

    Hi all

I need help. 7.0 FF crashes at startup / launch every time, even in safe mode of Windows XP.

I've initially automatically upgraded to version 7.0 the FF of the version the latest version 6. This automatic installation crashed, then I downloaded again v7.0.

I uninstalled my existing installation of FF6, including personal settings and ran Setup v7.0. He appeared to install successfully, but crashes at launch. I repeated this process several times with the operating system restarts without success.

I also ran FF in safe mode of Windows XP, but have experienced the same crash at the launch of the application. FF now display only the 'Crash Reporter'.

    Reminder:

    • I am running Windows XP Pro SP3 on a computer.
    • The machine is on Tivoli Access Manager (but I choose not to use it)
    • I ran a scan anti-virus AVG Free with no result.
    • I did a scan of MalwareBytes Anti Malware. An infection was detected (since corrected) as follows:

    Infected registry data items:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\SystemRestore\DisableConfig (Windows.Tool.Disabled)

Please let me know if you need more information.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you completely stop Tivoli, will launch FF 7?
Tivoli is based on the same code as Passlogix v - GO. If it does not work (even paused), it causes a conflict. The purpose of assistance of Mozilla is at the origin of the conflict.

I'm curious to know if the reg key parameters are the same as the post above Associates

The "reg" shift key is probably set your field of business via GPO that prevents you to configure system restore settings. Probably not an "infection" but MalwareBytes can pick it up as a false positve.

  • Firefox crashes at startup (not safe mode)

Program has been crashing at startup for the download of the latest version. I could open in safe mode and now it seems that maybe it's able to run both regular (non-secure) mode.

I'll post this question anyway, form where the problem is ongoing and I am unable to reach this help topic once again.

The accident started when I tried to open a browser window, a bookmark. Malaware is clear, SuperAntiSpyware found some adware tracking codes - those will be erased at the end of the scan

We have a lot of crashes with Trusteer report. If you have this program, try to disable it and see if that stops the noise.
You can stop the report by using the Start Menu > programs > Trusteer report > report stop
You can ask their helpdesk when a version update of their products will be available or, if you do not need this software, uninstall.

  • Firefox crashes on startup in normal mode and safe mode does not start reset mode

    using 26.0 FF
using windows 7 Home premium v 6.1 (last)

My problems started after the loading of 26.0 FF. If I start FF in normal mode it crashes. Same thing when I boot in safe mode. I close FF (while it's hanging) by clicking on the X in the upper right.

When I launch FF in safe mode and click Reset FF, it crashes without FF never appear. I have to stop it using the Task Manager. Off mode reset, I can launch FF in normal mode and everything works fine. However, stopping FF does not close it. I have to use the task of the Manager close. Then I'm at square one when you try to start FF, i.e. reset firefox, crashes, Task Manager, stop, then start FF.

When FF is on, I can open a new window of FF. All my addons are up-to-date. I reinstalled FF 26.0, three or four times.

I deleted the cache and cookies.

I scanned for viruses and rootkits etc. with microsoft security essentials and spybot.

I've been a happy user of FF for over ten years and have never had a problem like this. Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you!

I think that I fixed it, it gives a trial because he has started to do this on my two PCs.

Go to Options > general tab > start switch / "Show a blank page" and the charges of all good. What I used was 'Show my home page' which is the default page of Firefox with the Logo of Fox and history, Favorites and other options at the bottom.

I've updated to the latest version of Ff V19 is it?
I'm on WinXP with antivirus AVG (8.5.455). The two are entirely uptodate.
In AVG, I disabled "Link Scanner" and "Resident shield" in case it was interfeering with Ff.

Google Chrome behaves the same - the crash report dialog box appears immediately on the launch (and PC startup).

  • Firefox crashes at startup, even in safe mode

Firefox has just started to crash at startup, even in safe mode.

I also tried to create a new profile (which Firefox let me do), but it crashed as soon as I tried to use the new profile.

The only way I could get it to start is putting him to work offline, which is obviously not very useful.

    firefox -no-remote ProfileManager

@cor-el: Sorry, I just create a new profile to help
    firefox -no-remote ProfileManager

V.8 InDesign crashes on startup and loading, after which works all fine, except the Panel who are slow like crazy. Replacement by default/history, has no effect.

Is there any help for this issue or it's political Adobe to care not at all?

    Nicely,

    Damir

CS6 is not supported because there is no financial sense to spend money trying to 'fix' an old program to run on a new hardware/OS with (no guarantee of success), or a willingness of users to pay for repairs when new versions are already in operation. There is no reason why you can't continue working in CS6 - do - if you don't need the features that have been added since then. You just need to run it on a compatible hardware.

Firefox started crashing on startup today ' hui - goes directly to the Crash Reporter. Does not correctly send the accident report. Firefox in safe mode does not help. This report also contains technical information about the State of the application when it crashed.

Hmm, Yes, incident reports are old now.

As long as I can guess, I note something that is coming a lot lately: If you use Norton Security software, it seems to be a serious boot problem crash if you also have a program called Freecorder from Applian Technologies. If you find Freecorder in your Start menu > all programs or in your control panel, uninstall a program, and it is not crucial to keep it, please try to delete it. You have to maybe stop and restart Windows to make sure that it is completely disabled.

  • 41 of Firefox crashes, FIrefox was crashing at startup from the 40.0.3 updated

    Crash ID: bp-fceb36ed-dad2-4eab-9836-687df2150928

    Hello
After update to Firefox 40.0.3 several weeks back, Firefox would crash at startup. I uninstalled Firefox, reinstalled FIrefox (now with version 41), this is updated to Windows (Vista 64-bit), shockwave and Flash Player updated, uninstalled Firefox and deleted the Mozilla folder in AppData Roaming directory. Update some addins, FreeMake in particular. Disabled antivirus (Norton 360). I'm unable to start Firefox in safe mode (when I hold SHIFT and you try to start Firefox comes immediately to the crash report). Versions prior to 40.0.3 worked without any problems.

I look forward to hear from you, thanks! David

Sorry to hear about the accident and that you have the ID of the report.

The signature seems a disproportionate impact on the users of Vista. There is a bug in the accident report, but it is for the test of 64-bit versions of Firefox and the final versions are all 32-bit versions.

I see a reference to FLVSrvLib.dll in the report (at the top of the list in the mini Modules tab), which is a DLL associated with Freecorder program Applian Technologies. In other threads, users have experienced startup crashes if they Freecorder and Norton.

If you have indeed the Freecorder program and it is not essential, try to uninstall it then restart Windows to ensure that none of its components are running.

Firefox will start normally after that?
