Firefox crashes even after reinstallation

I have encountered this problem after installing a vpn program called hotspot shield. I was using firefox 7.0.1 I also tried previous versions, but even if I uninstall firefox and remove all my user data, firefox plant again once I used mozbackup (mozbackup don't has not been updated for the month)

You know that looking toward the top of the crashreport:

https://crash-stats.Mozilla.com/report/index/BP-a2061e06-079b-4078-9815-54fc12111104

It shows RapportTanzan36.DLL in stackframes #7,8 and 9. This dll is part of the report of Trusteer.

  • Firefox crashes even after a clean install of Windows

    Hey!

My Firefox keeps crashing. It starts up ok, but still crashes shortly after. I do not see a pattern in accidents, it seems random. Strange thing is that I had this problem before with Win7 and now he persists after installation clean full of Win10. The two hard drives formatted, no old files or anything left... It crashes in safe mode, too. On Win7, I could get locked out of the browser. Sometimes he would start crashing whenever I started the browser. A reboot has allowed me to once again successfully launch Firefox, but it would soon break without worrying. He crashed on the clean install of Firefox and crashed after that I installed Adobe Flash.

The crash began perhaps a few days previously, I think not that a lot of it initially. Now, however, it drives me nuts; It is basically impossible to navigate. Firefox browser my go-to for years and I would rather go to another.

    Here are a few crash reports: 4b05df7c-24d3-49e3-a13f-c9d57aca3cf0 bp-775561fc-4d6c-48a5-8c6b-e3af42161108 43d377a7-ea92-4c37-b717-84a562cd2d36 bp-09b21c04-8640-44ed-a261-a98f12161108 bp-9726e46d-d041-4fba-b905-f92682161108 fb6d8a28-79c6-4cab-b4c1-096778ca49e8

You will appreciate all help to the problem.

Seems that the problem is solved by itself. Not a single accident today. I don't have any idea of that which could have fixed, or what caused it in the first place. Curious, but no matter, I'm a happy camper now. I wish all support forums it was effective.

  • Firefox crashes soon after startup

Asked me to restart my laptop (64 bit) of Windows 7 to apply an update to my Norton protection product. In my view, an update of Firefox has been applied recently as well.

After the restart, Firefox crashes repeatedly. I can usually do much after Firefox restarts before it crashes again.

    Hi Matt & Omnisilver

I followed all the troubleshooting steps in the links you provided & thought that was included in my original post, but it seems that after the first half.

In any case, I restarted again, and up to now things seem stable, even with extensive extensions, so I think that my problems are solved.

    Thanks for your answers,

  • Firefox crashes immediately after launch

Help, please. Firefox crashes after launch after 5-10 seconds consistently every time. I tried things: refreshing Firefox from FF SafeMode (I don't have anyway all extensions), reinstall a new copy of Firefox, regenerating the restart, profile scanned for malware using malwarebytes, search for viruses using Kaspersky, both find nothing and done about everything I can think of and still EVERY time usually 5 seconds after launch It sometimes blocks something like 30 seconds if I'm lucky.

Any help would be appreciated. This is driving me crazy. I have provided the codes below. Thank you very much!

Make a check of malware with several malware scanning of programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.
All of these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.

    Hello!

I have the problem with the synchronization of the base, a window telling me that "Core Sync has stoped working" keeps poping up. I tried a few solutions, but the only one I found was that I should delete some files in C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CoreSync.

  • Lr5 unusable even after reinstallation

Until last week, I had no problem videos important to play or editing Canon 60 d RAW in Lightroom 5 MOV. Since then, ever time I tried to import video MOV LR5 crashed and had to be restared - but now is 'permanent' crashed (see below).  I have tried the following to fix the problem, without success:

    • Uninstalled and reinstalled LR 5
    • Video card driver update
    • Installed Quicktime
    • OS (Win Pro 8, 64-bit) updated
    • Driver update.

My last attempt to solve the problem in question deactivation LR5 all plug-ins.  I then tried to import a video file to see if this corrects the problem. LR5 crashes again, but this time it seems to have crashed 'permanent' because when I try to reload 5 LR he gets as much as LR screen, trying to load "previous import" in the "Library" and then it crashes immediately, i.e. I can't do in LR at all to try any other possible "correction".  Now I'm totally stuck on LR 5 because even after uninstalling and reinstalling LR, it continues to crash immediately when I try to open it.

Other information that can help solve the problem include:

    • Video files which cannot be imported seem OK - I can play through Windows Media Player and Quicktime.
    • DivX not installed.
    • Install a new (Gigabyte GT610) video card and installed the latest driver on the Gigabyte site.  I don't know if it's a coincidence, but the new video card and monitor were installed before that problem.
    • CPU is an i5 - 3550, 8 GB of RAM (+ - 5 GB available), LR5 stored on 120 GB SSD with 8.3 free GB, photo and video files stored on a 680 GB HD with 55 GB of free partition.

Counsel on how to overcome these problems would be appreciated.  In particular, how can I LR 5 upwards and rerun?

    Post edited by: jake_j

I thank Rob and Peter DdeGannes for the comments and advice. I found myself eventually contact Adobe about the problem, and after several failed attempts to get LR5 work using the 'original' catalog, we removed the old catalog and recatalogués. This has overcome the problem and LR is up and running again. Fortunately recataloguing wasn't a particularly expensive taks because I started using LR and the catalog is not too large.  Unfortunately we cannot guess what was the cause of the problem, but it does not appear to have been a photo or video file corrupted because all the pictures/videos are now cataloged without change. Or the problem seems to have been due to starving resources as the recataloguing was completed without additional resources.  However, the point has been taken and I've now released some resources.  The problem was perhaps an overview corrupt - but I guess we'll never know!  Kind regards.

  • Firefox crashes even when I disable all add ons and plug-ins

    Hey community,.

I love firefox and that's why I want to work again.
lately my firefox crashes and I don't know why. Sometimes, it crashes when I type something in the search bar, and sometimes when I scrall on a page, sometimes, when I want to type a URL.
I disabled all add ons and plugins. but the error appeared again. I also tried to fix it by installing the 64-bit version, but it does not help.
This is the last report of the accident:

    Please, can someone help me?

    Thank you!

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}
    While you are in safe mode;

Type of topic: preferences #advanced< enter > in the address bar.

    Under Advanced, select General.
Find and stop using hardware acceleration.

Search web sites secure. Are there problems?

Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off temporarily
hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables
-Add-ons (extensions and themes). If the problem disappears,
that tells us something. If it is not the case, this tells us something else.

  • InDesign crashes when you try to save IDML - even after reinstallation

I feel a little desperate here.

InDesign has decided to crash whenever I try to save something like IDML.

InDesign has decided to crash every time I try package a specific file that I need to provide for a sale of rights.

In the process, he damaged the file I tried to record and package. When it started, I felt compelled to disable the synchronization of files, because I can't afford simply to re-create the too many documents after that Indesign has trashed, so I should have still 'safe' copies online.

    What now?

I've deleted preferences, deleted the other layouts, remove all the styles and changed all the fonts Arial. That particular file still crashes when exporting record as IDML.

Funny you should ask. I move to the Office to have a clear space. Made no difference.

Finally I just made a new doc with the same characteristics, which took about 60 seconds, cut and pasted the content by propagation. 64 pages, it's 33 cut blocks. Each 16 pages or so I exported IDML, until it crashed, and I thought that it was page 60, so I divorced from objects on this page, images of reset to allow text on top, and it was fine.

It's a document originally created in 1998 in QuarkXpress, translated by Q2ID and content and design redesigned last year, so I guess that a gremlin cruft is not something to really complain. I was pleasantly surprised to see that cut and paste sheets imported style and properly linked images (nice work Adobe!).

  • Firefox crashes Windows after updating to 38

It, I run Windows 8.1 on a laptop Lenovo Y510P SLI and after the upgrade to 38 launch of firefox blocks the BONES together. The screen freezes, the mouse or the keyboard are insensitive, but will continue to play all of the sounds in the background for a few more minutes until it stops too and the only thing I can do, it's power button to force a shutdown. I'm using the latest drivers from Nvidia geforce experiencr a few days ago and the firefox 38.0.5. I tried to download the developer edition, but the situation is the same - I see a UI very distorted and if I press the menu button, the system hangs. What should I do to solve the problem?

You can run Firefox in Safe Mode? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

    and OK reboot.

Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

    Any less crashy?

If the problem not occur until you run some Flash Media, want to set the Flash Click-to-play (Ask 'activation'). This will delay the Flash start on a page, until you approve.

To set 'Ask to activate', open the page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click on Plugins. Search 'Shockwave Flash' and always change 'enable' to 'ask to activate '.

When you visit a site that wants to use the Flash, you should see a notification in the address bar icon and one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an information bar slides between the toolbar and in the page area.

If you do not need to Flash, just ignore the notification.

It is also, some standard advice that addresses the most common issues with the Flash Player plugin. I'm sure you've seen some of it before, but just in case:

    (1) If you have any recorders/downloaders who interact with Flash media to ensure that they are as up-to-date as possible, or disable them temporarily.

    (2) turn off the hardware acceleration in Flash

Right-click the press and choose settings, then the first mini tab and uncheck the box to use hardware acceleration. More information in this article from Adobe technical support: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues

    (3) turn off mode protected (Windows Vista and later)

The functionality of the safe_mode of the Flash player plugin has security benefits, but there seem to be some compatibility issues on some systems. There is a hidden for this parameter:

    (A) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (B) in the search above the list box, type or paste the flash and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (C) double-click the preference dom.ipc.plugins.flash.disable - protected mode to change its value from false to true.

It cannot take effect until all the Flash was discharged for a few minutes, or you close Firefox.

    Any improvement?

  • Firefox crashes (even in safe mode) constantly and use 50% CPU while doing

I use Firefox 36.0.1 and Windows XP (32-bit version).

Lately, Firefox made this weird thing where it stops randomly load anything, as if the connection has been broken (it isn't, any other works very well). In this case, Firefox uses 50% CPU, when it is usually revolves around, well, 0%. Restart the browser, or waiting for a few minutes "fixed" the problem temporarily. Same thing in safe mode, too.

I have the feeling that this * might * be related to Flash, since it seems to happen more often when I am watching videos, or stream on the shaking. I tried to disable the plugin-container and update the Adobe Flash Player plugin, with little success. Malwarebytes could not find anything either, and it does not feel like a virus anyway.

Whatever it is, I'm out of options at this point. I had a lot of problems with Firefox for a while now, especially when it comes to videos/animations (I can't play the videos of Vine.co , for example), and it starts to make it difficult for me. I really don't want to switch to Chrome, I don't trust of Google and their browser doesn't have a lot of key functions I like in Firefox (such as the sidebar bookmarks < 3), so I really hope I can get help here.

    Any suggestions?

Chrome is a pain, I tried to go back and difficulty of Firefox (so far), and again, I think I found the problem. I should mention that I tried these 5 suggestions before, btw, and none of them got rid of the problem. Yes, even in safe mode, with a profile is empty, no plugins, no firewall and without tab, it happens again, somehow. And Yes, Chrome will work fine with Firefox running in the background, as I mentioned in my previous post.

What he did for me was turn off Prefetching and IPv6 times in all: config, following the instructions on this this page .

I'm not sure that one did the trick (I kinda afraid to mess with that again, but I could test if you want to, it might be useful to others), but it looks like everything is going well for the moment.
